This is definitely one of the very best books that I have read in terms of utilizing computers for business development. The book is highly visionary and at the same time incredible realistic. After you have read the book, you can take the ideas and philosophies of the book and implement them in your organization right away.

Computer Aided Leadership & Management (CALM) is a fantastic new approach. I would say that the book is a must read for all business managers, CEO's, CTO's, IT managers and other decision makers. The book puts IT aided tools in a whole new brilliant perspective to manage your business.

The book is filled with examples, which makes it very enjoyable and understandable. I recommend the book to all companies that need inspiration to gain competitive advantages.

I ESPECIALLY liked this 'Michelle & Friends book because it had a COOL story & FUN activities! I wonder what kind of story the author of this wonderful series will cook up next!

originally I read these books as a teenager and loved them ... great stories ... sad but realistic encounters of several generations of 2 families ... have read both books many times .. a very good read:)

Lee Ramsey has done what few others have been able to manage. Most preachers aim their sermons in one of two directions: either in the pastoral direction or in the prophetic direction. Ramsey suggests that these are not really two different directions, but examples of what it means to care. Ramsey's book shows how care-full preaching, done with theological savvy, can move toward both concerns, instead of being conflicted.

The book is extremely easy to read, but don't be fooled; it's not superficial. Ramsey touches on all the serious theological issues, from the nature of sin (in its personal and its social dimensions) and the nature of redemption, to God's own caring as a model of congregational vocation. For Ramsey, being fully human goes beyond self-actualization and beyond personal altruism. Being fully human and faithfully Christian means being part of a community that directs its care-ing beyond itself.

He shows how sermons work, over time, to heal people in congregations and still create congregations committed to caring for the world. His evaluation of sermons moves beyond typical issues of "style" to demonstrate how sermons offer deeply theological understandings of what it means to be compassionate. Ramsey gives sustained attention to the way language and metaphor work and how illustrations function (sometimes against the preachers' intentions) to shape congregational understandings. His use of popular preachers is especially helpful. His close analysis of the layers of meaning in a sermon and how images and language work together is quite wonderful. His insights will certainly be helpful as preachers put together their own sermons.

Anyone who cares about preaching, or about pastoral care, or about prophetic ministry should buy this book. Ramsey's own style is clear and gentle, but doesn't shy away from the critical question: how does preaching create Christians who really care?

Though becoming somewaht outdated this is still an excellent resource for the student who is becoming serious about carnivores. The sections on carnivore anatomy and particularly osteology are excellent. Overall a great reference book

Very nice photos. Only 30 photos (post cards). Too pricy as a book for me. Very cheap if you plan on using them as post cards. I paid $9.00 (2006) so that's only 30 cents each, a real bargain for the quality. The publisher should print up Volumes III thru C, I might by them all!

This book has many patterns and complete instructions on the best methods to scale the pattern to a desired size. It is thorough and well written.

When learning to carve decoys, the difficulty in acheiving a satisfactory result seems to lie in the form and character of the template. Often the materials and methods seem to get a healthy share of attention, leaving the actual figure of the duck up in the air so to speak.

Many books contain patterns of decoys of particular species, but are often not easily transferable or even the correct size to reproduce. Also, they are in book bindings which further reduce the ease of transfering the image. "Carving Duck Decoys" transcends this frequently frustrating initial experience for beginning carvers and old pros by contributing a working book that has all the popular duck decoy species.

Beginning carvers may find it difficult to fashion a dimensional block of wood into the species which they desire without first using a good example of the decoy they wish to craft. "Carving Duck Decoys" allows the user to simply cut out the template as well as view illustrations which display not only the profile but also the conformation particular to the duck species.

In addition, the eye diameters are given for inclusion of artificial eyes which add realism and make the decoy "come to life." The text portion of the book discusses how to carve, paint, and add keel weights. A special photo section with the finished decoys from the authors lends itself well for useful comparison of your own progress.

"Carving Duck Decoys" is a splendid addition to any wood working enthusiasts reference materials.

This is my second book purchase through Amazon.com. The book was in excellent condition and the price made it a good deal by my standards. I will always check with Amazon before I purchase any book.
