This is a very witty (and sick) collection of cartoons about ways to commit suicide. This is the perfect gift for a miserable friend who needs to snap out of it. I lost this book about a year ago and I can't believe its out of print now. We need more of Andrew Christie's wicked mind to keep us sane.

Why on earth did this book go out of print? It's just what we need to get the run-of-the-mill out of millenium. Every time I show this mind-warping rare classic to friends they say, This is the perfect alternative to therapy! Where can I get this? Unique, one of a kind, extraordinary humor with artistically simpatico drawings.

This book is fantastic. The stories are very funny and entertaining for geek and non-geek alike. I highly recommend this book.

This is a great book of short stories written by a insightful Engineer and Professor.
Brian has a way of bringing humor to the daily events we all experience. I especially like the stories about his "Technological Friend", who sounds brilliant.

Gorey's feline illlustrations put a smile on my face instantly. I'll be flipping through this book long after the calendar functionality has passed. A great gift for anyone who loves cats and/or Edward Gorey's work.

I recently discovered Edward Gorey's Gashlycrumb Tinies. Now, I've been trying to find his books everywhere. They're hilarious! When I found this calender, I flipped. I have two cats. Cats are great. What more could a Gorey fan with two cats want? Very funny.

Fallow the stars is the most happy and sadiest book ive ever read.

Simply put, you will not be the same after you've read this book. Every story warms the heart and gives you more hope. Besides the stories in this book, I'd like to recommend another story that changed my life and could possibly change yours as well: Christmas Gifts, Christmas Voices, by John Allen. What a great book! The author does a great job at poking fun at everyday life. If you want to have a good laugh, then this book is a must.

I just loved this book. It is humorous, witty, inspirational and truly captures the essense of life in New England. If you're looking to laugh at the absurdities of life and chuckle with T.W. as he shares holidays with the in-laws and debates whether he can sell items at a yard sale from inside his garage, this book is a must. I've recommended this book to my non-New England friends and all have truly enjoyed it.

This series ( I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue) is one of the most popular ever broadcast in the United Kingdom. It appeals on many levels -- the quick wits of the panel; the double meanings implied in some of the answers; and in general just unoffensive fun which does not have to be censured for delicate ears. I travel by car frequently and for long mountainous distances, and these guys are my constant companions. I've gotten many curious looks from other travellers as I sat at a red light or a railroad crossing so obviously laughing out loud. If you are a fan of "play on words" and rapid repartee you will love I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, and will lobby the BBC to release more than the 9 programs they have so far shared with us!

What do you expect from a book of Limericks from the long running radio comedy show? Wordsworth?

These constitute the cutting edge of modern limericks from some of the best (or worst, depending whether you like puns etc) wordsmiths in the business. This is the ideal book to set beside your loo.

Was given If The South Rises Again It'll Be Over My Dead Body as a gift. Didn't know what to expect. It's hysterically funny and a must read for every Yankee and Southerner with a funny bone. This send up of the South, its people and habits will keep any reader laughing.

Loved it and have sent it as a present to all my friends.

THIS BOOK IS HYSTERICAL. BIG LAUGHS. IT TELLS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SOUTH, AND SOUTHERNERS, FROM A YANKEE POINT OF VIEW. IT'S DONE TONGUE IN CHEEK BUT ALL OF THE INCIDENTS AND EXAMPLES OF SOUTHERN BEHAVIOR ARE TRUE.

THIS SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING FOR EVERY HUMAN BEING ABOVE THE MASON DIXON LINE. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT VISITING OR DRIVING THROUGH THE SOUTH WITHOUT READING THE BOOK.

MAKES A GREAT GIFT.

This is an great book for learning about one's inner self through martial arts. Learning how to achieve the heightened enlightenment of awareness is a hard road to travel. This book smoothes out the bumps in the road making it easy for those to travel it much easier.

This book, makes you truely proud to be a southerner. And it makes you proud to be a man. Lewis says what's on his mind. You may not always agree. Some may find in funny, and some will find it obnoxious. I agreed with every one of his views and all I have to say is, that it's about time someone said some of this!!! A truley touching and humorous book.

I recently used this book to lead a small group study on how to read the Psalms. It's the right book for such an introductory study, because it handles the important subject of genre in a very approachable way. Futato then unpacks the differences between psalms of lament, praise and thanksgiving. But it isn't dry academic analysis. These poems are full of feeling, and the book really helps you understand the emotions of the author--and how to express your own emotions to God.
Futato walks you through the poetry so you can both understand it and enjoy it. Thus equipped, our group was then able to study other psalms and draw out the meaning of the text and the message God intends to teach us. Well done!

Having taken a course from Dr. Futato, I have a great respect for his insight and love for the Lord. I highly recommend both "Joy Comes in the Morning" and "Transformed by Praise." Both give an insightful and worshipful look at the Psalm, with TbP being more focused on the structure of the book of Psalms as a whole. If you read just one, read "Transformed by Praise." However, you will benefit greatly from both books.
