The Cowboy Artists of America Museum (now the National Center for American Western Art) was built several years ago near the location of the trails I rode as a teenager growing up in Kerrville, Texas. I visit the museum every time I am in Kerrville and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. For years, I have wished for a book that contains a wide representation of the paintings of the members of the Cowboy Artists of America, and this book surpasses my greatest expectations. It is always a challenge to reproduce great art in book form, but Greenwich has done a superb job. The book is very well organized and contains interesting biographies of the artists, along with a collection of the paintings of each. I would recommend it without reservation to anyone interested in art, especially Western art. The reproductions are almost as breathtaking as the actual paintings, not an easy task to accomplish.

This book was a big hit with my family this Christmas. Worth every penny - and then some.

This book is an amazing overview of the parking garage typology and it is the architectural compliment to the several excellent more engineering and planning books oriented books on the topic. Vividly illustrated with over 350 images, 312 pages, most in color, the amazing evolution of the typolgy is explored and throughily discussed within architectural concepts showing visions never seen before. Ten chapters cover all the key issues related to architectural typolgies and the final chapter presents amazing ideas and visions of the future. Highlighting sustainable ideas for new movement machines - car and transit, from the past and into the future and how they will be parked begins to present transformations to our urban environment for the future. Ideas are postitioned within solid reasearch and architectural intellectual discussions of man and machine. Many other books are referenced and the endnotes and further readings provide an extensive source for all students, architects, engineers, and planners.

I thought I knew a lot of Triangular Algebras, but then along came Weiss's book that opened the world of Quadrangular Algebras to me and I haven't been the same since. Weiss is a fantastic writer and analytical thinker. This book is destined to become a classic.

this book is incredibly enlightening and sheds knew light on an area that was dimly light. it inspires and it encourages and it is just a real feel-good book.

This is an amazing book. It opens up all kinds of interesting questions about the importance of seeing and vision in a range of different religious contexts. In each major section, Plate invites us to approach a religious tradition not through its main scriptures but through a visual medium. Islam, for example, is approached via calligraphy as a way of thinking about the written word as image. Buddhism is approached through zen gardens as a way of thinking about the concept of shinjin (mind-body). I used this book as the primary textbook for a college course called "Religion and Visual Culture." It was a huge success. It is filled with interesting ideas and fresh approaches, and it is great reading. I highly recommend it.

I own this book, and one that doesn't get loaned out to friends. The book sheds light on both artists and compares and contrasts their life and work. If you want to learn more about the two artists or just want to see more Remington and Russell work, than order this book today!

My English and my background to understand Larson's humor are not the best but anytime I grab one of his books from my self I crack with the old jokes I have read many times. Each time I find a new sense and a new kind of humor, and all depends on my animus and circunstances. If someday I don't crack with a single one, I'll know my illusion for the common things of life and my youth have come to an end. David
