I recommend this book, which includes excellent input from experts who have been directly involved in the National Security Council of the US... definitely a must read.

Highly recomended for "western" managers and anyone interested as to how emerging markets really work, how important they are in the scheme of things and the magnitude of the opportunity - whether from a multinational perspective or a start-up operation. Very well written and well- rounded, it covers the functional areas - like manufacturing and distribution and HR. It covers the cross-functional areas such as risk, corruption and cultural interfaces. Finally it takes a top-down and botom up approach. Most importantly it's not boring! A lively read. Hat's off to Pacek and Thorniley.

This book has given me an overall understanding of the historic economics of Cuba and how their present economic situation has evolved. It also helped me form an understanding of the economic dynamics of the U.S. and Cuba. Dr. Fernandez has researched and written an important historical book which is interesting to read and easy to understand. I highly recommend this book for any student of Carribbean history and/or economics.

This book is exactly what you need to correct problems in Chinese you run into, particularly when they make you write essays (although this does not mean that it covers only written Chinese). And there are so many problems they correct. I highly recommend this book to anyone studying Chinese as a second language, with English as their first. I think teachers might also benefit, because this book can help explain why certain errors, especially word usage, do not make sense.

The main thrust of this book is the development of new and powerful symmetry relationships in the values of options in foreign exchange markets. This book satisfies its promise of being a clearly-written introduction to investing in overseas markets. I've read a lot of investing books recently which claim to offer contrarian investment strategies that will allow you to beat the market by going against the crowd. No other book has made it easier to understand how country funds operate, where they are traded, and what your best choices will be.

This book delivers sound and practical advice, but still manages to keep the reader entertained through the use of humor and analogy. I liked it because it appealed to my common sense with just the right blend of technical language and simple terminology. It should appeal to investors at just about every level. I haven't seen many books on this topic (which is sure to become a hot one)...but I expect the style and clarity of this book will make it a standard item on the smart investor's bookshelf.
