very good review for Anatomy and Physiology
These flash cards are an excellent reference for remembering the actions and insertions of the muscles in the body. I also used the following which I found to be quite helpful:
Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers (Vol 1) ISBN: 0971999619
Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers (Vol 2) ISBN: 0971999627
If you really need something to help understand specifically the muscles, bones and ligaments of the spine, I highly suggest the following:
Spinal Anatomy Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers
ISBN: 0971999600

These 3 last study guides are very helpful because they helped prepare me for the type of questions my instructor asked on my college A and P class. My friend from another college told me about these books because he also found them helpful when she took college A and P

I just finished my Mid Term Practical on this topic
My Grade was a 99 - I couldn't have done it without these flashcards. Everything you need to know is listed, the details are excellent and instead of carrying a heavy textbook I would just put these in my bag and could study where ever I was. I even did it waiting on the line at the supermarket. These cards made the study of human anatomy fast, easy, and painless - what more could you ask for.

Mosby's Anantomy Flash Cards (Muscle, Joint and Bones)
I am taking a Human Anatomy class and I am using Mosby's Anatomy Flash Cards with my notes and textbooks. The illustrations are really great! With these flash cards, there is little difficulty identifying different areas and being able to memorize origins, insertions, functions and innervations. I absolutely recommend these cards. They are a great learning tool and are money well spent.

In Constant Use
This is one of those books that I use all the time. Because this is the first book I've given 5 stars, I'd better explain.

First, I like the way the book organized itself along the lines that the ActionScript editor or toolbox lists the different ActionScript terms. The parallel makes things easy to find. Second, I like the way the examples are used. For instance, the author explains the geometry behind the cosine of an angle explaining the Math.cos() method and then provides an example that draws a perfect circle. That's a lot better than I get in just about any other book. (Maybe that's more than some need, but I appreciated it.) Third, I like the level range. The beginning of the book is only 2 chapters, but it's a good 2 chapters that provide a quick explanation of ActionScript and scripting. However, further on in the book, it also covers more complex things like registerClass() with a detailed examples. The same is true for all of the new objects like LoadVars().

Finally, I have found myself using the last several chapters covering UI components. Before I got this book, I really didn't use UI Components very much, and now I use them constantly. In fact, those chapters (Pt IV, Chs 14-21)are what I find myself using the most. If this book had nothing but Part IV, the book would have been more than worth it to me.

I think the book is worth 6 stars -- 5 for the first 3 parts and an additional one for the last part covering UI Components.

Good clear, easy-to-find stuff book
After Flash 5 ActionScript, I didn't think that it would get much bigger. Flash MX ActionScript is huge, and this book makes it available. The author spends only the first two chapters with the basics of writing ActionScript in the context of Flash MX and makes a nice transition from Flash 5 to Flash MX.

Then, from Chapter 3 to the end of the book's 21 chapters, the author decided to follow the order of actions in the Actions toolbox in the Actions Panel. That makes it very easy to find stuff because it's organized along the same logical patterns as the toolbox. Even so I found myself going to both the detailed TOC and appendix to look up terms, and I never had problems finding what I needed.

Anyone can explain the easy stuff like the old gotoAndPlay() actions, and so I went to the new OOP materials and XML socket section. The OOP stuff was mixed with non-OOP throughout the book, and OOP-related methods like registerClass() were explained in detail and supported with a good example using something that made sense in the context of Flash MX. In fact, the whole book was filled with good examples. Some examples extended over several pages and others were little ones that gave you a quick insight. Sanders is an ace with examples. As for the XML socket material, not only did the explanation explain to me for the first time ever what the blazes a socket server was, it provided a URL where I could download a free socket server, which I did. Then I worked the example, and now I have my own mini-chat in XMLSocket. I'm happy.

The last several chapters were in-depth explanations of the different ActionScript terms used with the new UI Components. Each component got its own chapter, and I found it invaluable for designing with the components. It does not cover re-skinning, but I was able to get the look I wanted by changing every element in the components and I am a big user of UI components. (You can change all the little parts of components like highlight, higlight3D, face, darkshadow, etc. without re-skinning.)

There were a lot of little details I liked in the book. The examples were mixed, interesting, and clarifying. Undocumented terms, like onData with LoadVars(), were included, and I found what I needed. One suggestion for people getting this book: buy some of those little colored tab stickem things to bookmark all of the part of this book you'll need to reference again and again.

Simple, Bold, Memorable
This is a set of 52 cards: half are capital letters and the other half are small letters. The pictures are of ordinary household objects, and they are simple and boldly drawn.

My daughter, age 2, is already learning to recognize the shapes of some of these letters. We had intended to use these just with the pictures and object names initially, but she is fascinated by the letters on the back, and already recognizes some of the more distinctively-shaped letters: z, c, and a.

I highly recommend this set of cards for parents who would like to help their toddlers with vocabulary development, or parents who would like to help their preschoolers recognize shapes. Nothing fancy, but sometimes the simplest, most easy to use things, are very valuable.

Great
There's not much to review about flashcards, but I got these ones for my son and taught him all of his letters before he turned 3 using some of the ideas that came with them. He's now 4 and we're using them to learn spelling and letter sounds. They were the only ones available when I was looking for flashcards and I've been very happy with them overall. In fact, I'm here to replace my very worn-out ones.

Meant for reading aloud to very little girls
The collaborative effort of writer Ellyn Bache and artist Carol Tornatore, Daddy And The Pink Flash is a picture book story meant for reading aloud to very little girls, about the bond between a new dad and his baby daughter. Celebrating the joy of making designs and experiencing the enthusiasm of life, Daddy And The Pink Flash is a truly delight, warmly illustrated with realistic color artwork.

Perfect book for parents and daughters!
I just love this book! It really shows the love between a father and daughter as well as the passing from one generation to the next. There is always the Pink Flash. The pictures are fabulous also! I have given this book to several friends with baby girls, and they all think it's great. Even my four year old son loves reading about the Pink Flash, even though his younger sibling is a boy. When reading the book, I can't help but think that I too was once the Pink Flash, and it reminds me of the relationship that I have with my father. I recommend this book to anyone with a daughter.

Colorful Teaching Fun
After you have helped your children break the sound code with the First Steps to Reading Series Phonics Cards (ISBN: 0789442604), you can continue with all the other Flash cards in this series.

This set has cards with a colorful picture on one side and the word on the other. You can point to each picture and say the word, then encourage your child to read the words on their own. You can play fun games with the cards, by laying them out and saying a word. Then, your child has to find the card.

Your child will learn words like: raincoat, hat, gloves, apron, etc. This pack will help children recognize words and should be used along with the Phonics Cards pack.

The fun thing about this pack is you can have your child find the clothes in your house that match the cards. There is a "Note to Parents and Teachers" to give you many fun ideas for teaching these words.

Great teaching tool for younger and older children
Vivid, eye-catching pictures of all sorts of children's clothes. With pictures as diverse as mittens to bathing suit and everything in between, children will find something in which they can relate. I use these cards in a classroom of 3 to 6 year olds for vocabulary enhancement for the younger children and story starters, handwriting, and reading practice for the older children. I have had these cards for years and they have always been a favorite in the classroom.

Bill Roland Eklund, the owner of the Double Horseshoe Ranch in Tatum, New Mexico lost three heads of cattle over a three-month period. He has filed claims worth over $600,000 with United Life and Casualty but before they remit such a huge some of money, they want to make sure there is no fraud involved so they dispatch Dan Mahoney to find out what is going on at the reach.

Before he reaches the ranch, Dan witnesses a double homicide. When one of the victims, Eric Linden turns up alive, he contacts Dan to tell him that he took the fall for Billy a drug charge and expected two million dollars waiting for him when he got out of prison. Now Eric wants revenge and he intends to find the evidence to give to Dan that will send his former employer to jail for life. Dan has a lot of problems with this scenario including the fact that he likes Billy and is in love with Eric's wife who is divorcing him.

The hero doesn't realize why he is out in the field after years behind a desk, but that doesn't stop him from solving the case in a very unique manner, helping the FBI find the real drug dealer and falling for his sister's best friend. Though relationships make solving the case harder on Dan's conscience, the story line is exciting and action packed. Susan Slater's new series is compelling and will lead the audience to want to read the next installment as soon as possible.
