Beautifully Boxed Letterbox VHS Set.....Review Date: 2004-12-31
Although you may have found yourself in the book section of Amazon products, this beautifully packaged set of the "Die Hard Trilogy" are definately VHS and not books. The ISBN is 079390532x on the package as it is here on the product page.
Hard as I have tried to call Amazon's attention to this error (I've been a real "Die Hard" at it), I have had no response to the correction forms I have been submitting. Maybe someone there will read this review and make the correction, so that fans of this exciting trilogy will know this set is out there.
This set is not an oridinary looking boxed set with an outer box that will fall apart eventually. The tapes each in their own VHS slip case, are packaged in a beautiful slim, flatter, and sturdy black box, with the tapes laying side by side. The raised letter "Die Hard" trilogy logo and a picture of John McClane (Bruce Willis)are on a silver background. The films are letterboxed and in Hi-Fi stereo. Although these are films we watch several times a year(and we always include the first and second in our Christmas movies), they have held up remarkably well over the years and are some of the better quality(in all respects) VHS I still own. I'm sure they don't compare to DVD(especially in the sound department), but I'm holding on to my boxed set, and I think any die hard fan of "Die Hard" might want to grab this up as a collector's item.
Looks as though they are out of print, but if you are interested in this item, keep it on your wish list and keep checking on it, maybe an outside seller will list one. I have seen them before. Also, I would check with the seller to make sure this is the set they are sellling.
Do I need to describe the films themselves???...Nahhh..Everybody knows already we wouldn't even be here if John McClane hadn't saved the world for us(3 times!)

Good example of what a technical publication should be.Review Date: 2001-06-16
Ms Andrews takes on a remarkably fresh approach, making this book a practical guidance tool for the I. T. Toolperson. For the Trainee, it's a hands-on "tool" likely to retain it's usefulness even after having qualified.
Here are a few of its features:
(1) A six page appendix of important web sites (demonstrating the writer's initiative to help the Technician stay current)
(2) Examples of record keeping forms a technician is likely to deal with on the job
(3) Flowcharts to enhance and speed up understanding, and also to get a new technician into the routine of methodical performance of duties.
(4) An approach to tutoring & guidance that makes *Symptoms* the focal point of instruction
(5) Clearly set out tables with meticulous coverage of error messages and beep codes
But be advised: this Guide isn't meant to be used alone. At least not before properly covering the main text book, (or an equivalent textbook, or having gained equivalent knowledge elsewhere). It relies on frequent references to the main text (which the keen trainee would have studied before depending too much on this Pocket Guide). Such references are meant merely to point the way and to jolt the memory of an already somewhat trained PC Hardware person.
Not just a 5 star book, but a 5 star tool to add to your toolkit!
And, oh, a big *thank you* to Jean Andrews (and "Course Technology") for what must've been a quite an effort for a tiny book!

Excellent Real-World ContentReview Date: 2006-08-05
The book is divided into 12 units, each of which centers on a short audio piece. The unit begins with predicting and vocabulary exercises. Then students listen to the piece several times with specific questions or points related to the content to evaluate as they listen. Follow-up exercises include individual and group activities that focus on grammar concepts, conversation skills, and related writing. A transcript and answer key are provided in the back of the book.
