FM Books

This started out as a great project for my 10 year old nephew and my husband. They worked together to do the wiring and were having a great time. However, when they got to the "easy" part (putting all of the components in the plastic case) things went downhill. The plastic was so misconstructed that things would not "snap" in properly, the knobs would not fit through the holes, etc. The radio is now held together by tape, my nephew is very disappoionted, and my husband is very aggrevated! What a sad ending to our evening.

My son got this kit as a gift. My husband and son worked on this radio together. My husband, who has a degree in electronics, explained different parts to my son and told him what they did. After all the parts were connected they put the radio in the case and found it did not work. My husband went through all the connections and checked them to be sure they were good. Still didn't work. Our only conclusion is that there is something wrong on the circuit board. He will have to check that next. A person with minimal electronics experience would not be able to try and "fix" this. All in all, a disappointing kit.

I think you will be wasting your money on this one. It's pretty on the outside but what is inside is what matters. Save your money buy used.

I wonder when I purchase this book about the cover becuase I had never seen a military manual with such a nice looking cover. Well you know the saying don't judge a book by it's cover. This is not a new book from the Army I found out. Should have just gotten a real military manual.

FIRST THERE IS NO 2007 ARMY SURVIVAL MANUAL OUT, DON'T GET TRICK INTO THINKING THIS IS THE NEWEST. IT'S JUST THE YEAR THE BOOK IS PRINTED IN AND THEIR MAKING YOU THINK IT'S THE NEWEST. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY A MILITARY MANUAL BUY THE ARMY'S YOUR BETTER OFF GETTING IT FROM THE ARMY.

It came in a binder. It's totally useless. The whole manual is about procedures EOD follows (like minimum clearences, who to notify), not about that actual disposal of muntions.

Don't waste your time, this isn't what you're looking for.

Just an 1980s Ranger manual. You can find it for free in pdf form on the net. Not worth any money It is NOT the new one!

Since when do magazines sell single columns online (with no printing cost) for what is a large fraction of the cost of the entire magazine. Only a small part of this article is about George Noory.
