Disappointed, was expecting a 9th edition or better, received 8th edition, a book about 20 years old. Can not use now.

Did not have much data. The book is heavily skewed towards China, has very outdated tourism figures. Most of the writing is very general and could have been done with research from Wikipedia and Wikitravel. I have been doing research into the topic and have realised that there is so much more legwork one needs to do.

A general read, not much insight.

If you're looking for traditional corporate global marketing think, the author ably extrapolates from past history. If you want to truly gain insight into real-time ethnocentric e-marketing, look elsewhere.

I worked in Turkmenistan for two years organizing seminars and training programs, sponsored by the US government, for Turkmen government officials on areas related to business law and the development of an attractive investment climate.

Needless to say, the reality of Turkmenistan is that any book or publication on any law, but especially business law, is potentially outdated before it even hits the printer. I came across this particular publication, "Turkmenistan Business Law Handbook", while I was there. Aside from being the only English language publication on Turkmen business law, the translation was very poor and had already been superceded by numerous presidential decrees and specially negotiated concessions to foreign investors in preferred sectors. In short, what's the point of having a book of "laws" that may or may not be current or translated properly (the official Turkmen language version takes precedence)?

This book is a typical work of American political science: it removes most things that make politics interesting, substituting for them dry and ponderous "empirical study" that seldom does more than model what is already obvious, or is even trite or banal. The author thus presents as "insights" born of statistical analysis what are mostly and merely basic, journalistic observations that one might find in any newspaper discussion of trade policy. Neither policymakers nor students with a serious interest in trade policy will find this book of much use.

These crooks just put together speeches and stuff - no law except maybe a useless constitution.

I was looking for a good book on making wine from juice. This book looks good, but the price is outragious, unless it is a typo.
