All of the Aqualog books are excellent value, although they are not particularly cheap. They are full to the brim with first class colour photographs and to reproduce these in a book is an expensive process. Whether they are about the beautiful L Number now coming into the aquarist trade or some other species of fish they are the most comprehensive identification books you can buy. They never become dated because as new fish become available to the aquarist trade the books are updated. There is not a lot of literature on L numbered catfish so this book is invaluable.

They do not deal with the basics of fish keeping, there are many and varied books that do that. They are in the main a fish identification encyclopaedia and not a lot more. But for those aquarists who are particularly interested in a single species they are indispensable.

Whether they are about the beautiful fish, plants or flowers, in this case they latter, they are the most comprehensive identification books you can buy. They never become dated because as new fish etc. become available to the aquarist trade the books are updated., or supplements are produced.

This is a beautiful book and for anyone who is interested in the subject of garden ponds could prove to be that purchase that you never regret.

This book is a much better version of the first Aqualog special by the same author. Infact, it has much more pages of excellent information regarding scientific information on crustaceans, on how to keep them in captivity and breeding. I cannot refrain from mentioning the excellent photos and their exact corresponing scientific names referring to them. Some of the photos are taken by the reknowned Chris Lukhaup.

I love this book which unfortunately was published exactly when Sulawesi shrimp were still in their initial stages of spreading in the hobby worldwide. Still there are some photos of these shrimp included in the last part of this book.

For sure, 'All About Shrimps, Crayfishes, and Crabs in the fresh- and brackish-water aquarium and paludarium' by Uwe Werner is a must have for all shrimp and other crustacean unthusiast especially for those who are into keeping them in aquaria and paludaria. Unfortunately, this Aqualog book together with the first one issued before are the only serious attempts in English language so far to my knowledge. There are so many books in german language which unfortunately are not yet translated for us hobbyists.

Whether they are about many of the different beautiful fishes now coming into the aquarist trade or in this case specifically the coldwater species Goldfish which are among the most beautiful coldwater fishes. They are first class for identifying that fish that you have had for some time, but have not been able to put a name to.

This is a really beautiful book with some stunning photographs and for anyone interested in Goldfish in particular and fish-keeping in general it is a book to be treasured.

They are first class for identifying that fish that you have had for some time, but have not been able to put a name to.

This is a really beautiful book with some stunning photographs and for anyone interested in Rainbows in particular and fish-keeping in general it is a book to be treasured.

I don't know what the "For Export" means in the title, but this is the best collection of Argentina photos I have come across. Filled with fabulous color photos of every part of Argentina. Gives the reader a sense of the vast diversity of the country. Captions in Spanish and English.

This excellent book is an invaluable general reference and ID book for anyone interested in snorkeling, scuba diving or UW photography. It is primarily a pictorial ID book of marine life common to the Asia Pacific region. Each page has 3, 2 inch by 3 inch colour plates, supplemented by information which includes length,distribution, depth found at, and general observations to help identify the species. There over one thousand photos high quality photos in this book and a few are magnificent full page glossy pics. The book covers a wide variety of marine life from bony fish to crustaceans, molluscs including slugs and nudibranch, soft and hard corals, worms, featherstars and sea squirts. As a diver I use this book constantly, it is one of the best available for this region.
