This is a beautiful book and for anyone who is interested in the subject of garden ponds could prove to be that purchase that you never regret.

Good purchaseReview Date: 2008-12-24
I love this book which unfortunately was published exactly when Sulawesi shrimp were still in their initial stages of spreading in the hobby worldwide. Still there are some photos of these shrimp included in the last part of this book.
For sure, 'All About Shrimps, Crayfishes, and Crabs in the fresh- and brackish-water aquarium and paludarium' by Uwe Werner is a must have for all shrimp and other crustacean unthusiast especially for those who are into keeping them in aquaria and paludaria. Unfortunately, this Aqualog book together with the first one issued before are the only serious attempts in English language so far to my knowledge. There are so many books in german language which unfortunately are not yet translated for us hobbyists.
Thumbs up for this book!!!!

First book to explore minds of Asias top business leadersReview Date: 2000-12-01
Rajat Gupta of McKinsey, Stan Shih of Acer, Washington SyCip of SGV Group, Joanna Lau of LAU Technologies, David K.P. Li of Bank of East Asia Ltd, Cheong Choong Kong of Singapore Airlines, are some of the 32 leading Asian CEOs who share their thoughts on doing business in Asia. Informative, insightful, and inspirational, the book offers a fascinating glimpse into the finest business minds in the region.
The 32 articles in Asian Business Wisdom are organised into six parts covering Management Philosophies, Instilling Corporate Culture, The Entrepreneurial Spirit, Lessons from China, Sales and Marketing Strategies and Managing in Tough Times. Each article is accompanied by an introduction that highlights its author's life and business achievements and a list of online resources which points the reader to related articles or organisations.
Sadly, except for a passing reference to Robert Kuok Hock Nien on page 169, Malaysians are conspicuous by their absence in this book. Despite this glaring omission, this is nevertheless a book from which managers worldwide will surely benefit. Economic and financial crisis notwithstanding, Asia remains in the sights of many global business leaders and decision-makers as a region of vast economic and business potential.

There's No Doubt About It, AutoCAD Software Is The World CAD LeaderReview Date: 2008-01-30
THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
AUTOCAD SOFTWARE IS THE WORLD CAD LEADER.
And there's only one other CAD program for design professionals that is truly compatible with AutoCAD Release 14. That's AutoCAD LT 97.
Other CAD programs claim to read and write the AutoCAD native DWG drawing file format. But these programs simply reverse-engineer the AutoCAD DWG format, and that's not good enough. You could end up with drawing errors. Seemingly subtle differences that could mean costly problems down the line.
With AutoCAD LT 97, there are no errors when reading or writing DWG or DXF files. Files can be shared back and forth easily. No long waits for loading or saving. And no loss of critical data.
Work with anyone, from Albany to Zurich:
AutoCAD LT 97 lets you share your files, worry-free, with over two million AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT users worldwide.
And you can share those files easily on the Internet. The ability to export DWF (drawing Web format) files, and features like the Internet Utilities and Browser Access, make the Internet readily accessible. You can even create links from your drawings to other Web pages and images.
Design virtually anything:
AutoCAD LT 97 software works as a drafting tool for preliminary sketches, detail drawings, or final designs. Plus it's perfect for CAD managers and others who don't require full-blown AutoCAD capabilities.
The powerful AutoCAD LT feature set gives you the precision to complete all your drawing tasks. Professional options like unlimited named layers, dozens of simple and complex linetypes, fonts, and hatch patterns provide design freedom. And they help you get your job done faster.
For movices and experts alike:
New CAD users can create client-ready drawings quickly with intuitive editing and dimensioning. TrueType font support, and associative hatching.
CAD experts can work with advanced AutoCAD LT features, including External References, Block attributes, and Paper Space viewports.
And all users can customize AutoCAD LT software for maximum productivity. Drag and drop your favorite tools onto the toolbar. Define your own aliases. Add or remove items from the pulldown menus. And do much more.
With AutoCAD LT, it's easy to get started and learn as you go. Advanced HTML-based Help lets you select a topic in one window and preview all related information in another. The AutoCAD LT Learning Assistance CD-ROM gives you an animated, multimedia, self-paced learning tour, with over 50 lessons. Quick Tour takes new users through the software, and What's New gives upgraders a look all the new features.
Powerful new drag and draw features:
Take advantage of all the new AutoCAD LT 97 features and you'll really increase your productivity.
The new Content Explorer makes it far easier to manage symbols. Thumbnail images let you preview any block, or drawing, and easily insert it into your current drawing. Just drag and drop!
New precision drawing tools like AutoSnap and PolarSnap speed up your drawing process. Features like Solid Fill and Draw Order Control improve drawing presentation.
AutoCAD LT even supports the Microsoft IntelliMouse, which allows you to zoom and pan your drawings in real time with an innovative new wheel.
There's also a new Object Properties toolbar that lets you determine the layer, color, or linetype of an object and change it with a click of the mouse.
This newest version of AutoCAD LT supports ADI printing and plotting. So you can get the same fast, precision output as with AutoCAD.
Windows and Office compliance, of course:
AutoCAD LT 97 works seamlessly with your Windows operating systems and communicates comfortably with your other Windows applications. The Microsoft Office interface puts you on familiar ground. And since AutoCAD LT 97 software is a true 32-bit application, you get all the benefits of Windows 95, plus Windows NT support.
NEW FEATURES:
* Drag-and-drop Content Explorer with hundreds of industry-standard symbols
* Microsoft Office 97 compliance
* Simplified layer and linetype management
* AutoCAD LT Learning Assistance CD-ROM
* Improved paragraph text and TrueType fonts
* HTML-based online help System
* PolarSnap automatically snaps cursor to incremental angles and/or distances

They do not deal with the basics of fish keeping, there are many and varied books that do that. They are in the main a fish identification encyclopaedia and not a lot more. But for those aquarists who are particularly interested in a single species they are indispensable.
