A disaster...written on the level of a second grader-actually that is insulting to second-graders. Part of the value added
for $17.95 are the following from the "Inn the Money-Managing Your Income" chapter:
the two "Smart Tips" are
#1 "Contrary to Popular Belief, the IRS can be nice-if you just want a question or two answered." and
#2"Don't get broken up over financial calculations".
Full of cliches and puns that fall flat because the reader is so incensed at his having wasted money and time expecting something on a professional level.

I don't know what is up with the Entrepreneur-magazine series of books, but I've read several of them now and I've yet to
be impressed with any of them. The best way to describe this book...BLAND AND FULL OF FLUFF. Most of them are apparently written
by people who have NO real-world business experience. They are not recommended.

This book is beyond basic; it doesn't even work as a 'For Dummies' title. There was no useful information about setting up
a business or finding clients. Plus, the spelling and grammar were inconsistent throughout -- ironic for a book on becoming
a freelance writer, proofreader, copyeditor, etc. I returned this book and look forward to getting my money back!

This six-page document contains dozens of typographical and grammatical errors. I expected an enlightening guide about potential
businesses but what I got was a document that includes one absurd statement after another. Here's one you'll find on page
four (verbatim): "For people that like pets or children watching their own pets or children is not something that is sellable.
However, watching someone else's pets or children is a valued service that is a sellable service." I suggest the creator of
this document--The Editors of SmithRiley--hire a real editor before they publish any more "guides."

I give it a one only because they dont give me an option of giving it a zero! Useless generic information. This guy probably
has 100 other books like how to start this and that. A whole lot of nothing!!!

Suppose you were taking a college algebra course and you had multiple classes and curriculums to choose from (and therefore different algebra textbooks for each class). Wouldn't you be thrilled to get the class that used the textbook without instructions? Unless you're an algebra-fan, probably not. In fact, a normal person would never intentionally take on any task or project of any kind that they were unfamiliar with unless they had a clear, concise set of instructions to guide them.
This textbook contains no such instructions.
There are many different Microsoft Office textbooks out there, and most of them are probably far more helpful than this one. I would ask any professors who read this to choose a more student-friendly textbook for their curriculum.
For college students who come across these words, I strongly recommend avoiding the purchase and use of this textbook. If you need to take a computer course that requires this textbook, then I would recommend choosing another course with a better text. I would recommend avoiding professors (and I'm sorry, but I have to say this) who are careless enough to choose this textbook or, for that matter, any textbook that fails to provide instructions on completion of the coursework therein.
Please, save yourself the frustrations and anger that I now have to deal with.
