Easy-money Books

We have a store called Let's Dish where you can go and prepare meals to freeze. I loved the concept, but spending $200 each trip was a little much for our family. This book is great in that I can make a broader scope of meals to freeze, but can do one or two at a time, which is much more cost effective for our family! We have made 4 recipes so far and all have been good. Not to mention that that recipes are easy to follow! I have recommended this book to a few friends!

My sister bought me this cookbook for Christmas and I was thrilled!! As a working mom with 2 very energetic little boys and church responsibilities I couldn't wait to try this out. I tend to be a little compulsive so I picked out 17 recipes to make over my (out of the ordinary) four day weekend. I have two more to make this afternoon and I can't say enough about the methods and tips that they provide. I am buying the book for two of my friends and I just can't stop talking about it!! Lindsey, if I could I would give you a whole lot more than five stars.

This book saves me a lot of time during the week. I make one new item each week and we rotate through them. I have had nothing that I don't like and its so nice not to have to start from scratch in the middle of the week.

I love this cookbook! The recipes are delicious. My children ages 4, 3, and 2 even eat these foods. The recipes are pretty easy to follow because it is mostly putting together 3 or more meals after you buy a big family size tray pack of steak, pork, or chicken.

I recieved this cookbook as a Christmas present. So far I've made the basic red sauce, chicken curry and chicken parmigiana. I love that the recipes include prep and then day of cooking instructions, as well as provide you with pages you can photo copy to attach to your bags. Each recipe explains how to package everything. For instance, chicken parmigiana has a bag of mozzarella cheese slices, a bag of sauce and chicken all within a large freezer bag. This makes deciding on meals so much easier. I used full page labels to print on so that I could cut and affix instructions to each bag. All recipes were wonderful so far. Basic sauce is indeed very basic, but still good. Chicken parmesan was a little bland because of sauce being so basic but can easily be spiced up. Chicken curry was AWESOME!

I have read every book out there today to try and repair my credit because I know how important it is to have good credit and mine isn't the best. Some have had okay advice, but they can't compare to this fantastic book. Mike breaks it down in a way that it easy to understand and you can actually put the steps to use. A couple of days ago I went to his web site listed at the bottom of every page and it has more advice and a place you can contact him. Mike himself CALLED me today (I almost passed out!!) and gave me more advice!!! Even without that call which is UNHHEARD of, this book is simple to read, insteresting, and if you follow his simple directions ANYONE can have better credit. Today having good credit means being able to get a car, home, credit cards, and unbelievably even a JOB. So, please PLEASE get this book and read it like he instructs. Skip the sections that don't apply to you. If you are not getting a divorce don't read that part, but I promise some parts will APPLY TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON. And even those with good credit could have something happen because you cannot predict the future and someday you will or might need this book. It is very reasonably priced. Please make the decision to purchase this fantastic book....you will not regret it!!

This book is powerful. I must say I had no idea how I was taken advantage because I didn't know the law. But Mike has shown me how to take my life back. Thanks Mike and God Bless You.

The book contains all the information, resources to fix your credit. I contacted the author and he was was very happy to assist me during the proccess. Buying this book you can get all the tools you need to fix your credit; but not only that, if you contact the author he can even help you throught the procces dissregarding his busy schedule!

I was NOT thrilled with this book. It was recommended to me so I would be able to help a couple of friends of mine clean up their credit. The book doesn't read well. The only good thing was the CD however I could have gone online and downloaded the same forms. I'm sorry I wasted the money.

I have been putting taking care of this off for a long time. I found this book to be a life saver. I found my self taking notes and really getting some direction on this.

Facts are presented in a good way and I am already fixing my life. I suggest that for the price (which includes a CD too), pick this one up.

When I first picked up this book I was pretty overwhelmed with all the changes the authors recommend -- some of them are fairly significant alterations to my everyday life. But all in all, I think even starting with just a few of them and working your way up can be a great way to help the Earth, which is something we all want for our kids and grandkids. I'd definitely recommend buying this book.

This is an update to a book issued in 2003. It has 51 chapters, one for each tip, plus summaries at the end of the tips, the science, and the politics.

Each chapter is clearly written, organized with an Overview, What You Should Know, Easy Ways You Can Help, a summary box, and Search for More Info. The summary box tells you clearly what your personal savings are likely to be if you implement these, the annual amount of CO2 that will not be put into the atmosphere, and sometimes the dollar savings over the life of the product.

Each of the bulleted paragraphs in the What You Should Know and the Easy Ways You Can Help lead with a bold-faced short sentence encapsulating the enformation. The rest of the paragraph expands on it.

The whole is presented clearly, enthusiastically but not intimidatingly, and with sound advice that saves you money, and the environment from more harm.

This book provides you, the reader, with the tools to look deeper into each topic, but it doesn't guilt you into it. It tells you exactly how thrifty you are being, and how much difference one person or household can make.

Rather than trying to explain all the science behind global warming or politics behind the Kyoto Protocol, the authors present simple, clear, and easy-to-implement suggestions on how the average consumer can make significant reductions in his impact on the environment. Even for those who think global warming is "junk science," this book provides tips on how to lower gas and electric bills-and how can that be a bad thing?

You can Prevent Global Warming provides 51 tips for lowering carbon emissions and conserving energy. Almost every tip presented is completely free and every tip saves money. Many of the suggestions are not new-putting a milk jug full of water into the toilet tank to reduce the flow of water, lowering the thermostat just a bit-however, the authors also include exactly how much money and energy it saves by doing something simple. They also provide tips for people with varying levels of commitment. Already doing the toilet tank thing? They give you links to reviews of low-flow toilets. Is that still not enough for you? They explain composting toilets!

There were a few features I particularly enjoyed and appreciated with this book. First, I liked the list at the end of the book that placed each suggestion in an easy-to-follow format of which tips to do first and how often. I also really liked the useful links included. Rather than actually getting bogged down in science and mechanics, they provide web links to [...] and other useful sites. A major barrier in me doing some of the suggestions before (like vacuuming heater and fridge coils) is that I had no idea how to do these things and was (frankly) too lazy to look it up. The authors provide a link with pictures on how to do these things. Some of the links also take you to sites on how to contact Congress if an issue is important to you if the way you want to lower man's impact on nature is to become politically involved.

I was walking around my house implementing many of these suggestions as I was reading because of how simple they are. The authors never take a strong-armed tone, never guilt you into trying something they suggest. Every suggestion felt like they were saying "Good for you for doing so much! Want to try more? Keep reading!"

I strongly recommend this book to any home-owner (though it also has awesome suggestions for renters!). I have a number of family members who are always trying to be as green as possible without seriously changing their lifestyles, a few who cringe (or cuss) at the very mention of Al Gore but who are still committed to the Biblical mandate to be stewards of the Earth, and a few who are trying to do more and more-and they are all on the receiving list for this book.

A pretty comprehensive book of tips to help prevent global warming. There are also definitions of terms one hears in the news and in other venues about global warming. Many of the tips were ones I had already heard about or were steps I had already taken so there was not a lot of new information for me. But, it is very nicely organized and easy to read. This is an update from the 2003 version, however, there were a couple of tips that were not updated such as the section on reusing old floppy disks. You most definitely can reuse floppy disks, but I don't know anyone who uses those anymore. Overall, a pretty good read for the person in the beginning stages of fighting global warming.

This was my first book on global warming. I learned alot about how I could help. I is simple to read and understand.

Jennifer has written an amazing book that has inspired change in how I handle and relate to money. It is a pleasant, inspiring method to really get a different look at finances. This is a great and easy read for anyone who wants more fianancial insight. Having known Howard for many years I have witnessed his continuous growth and expansion in the money world. Isn't it about time you got your money straight?

I have used the budgeting system outlined in Howard's easy to read book for 5 years, and have watched my family's personal savings accelerate beyond what I thought possible. It really works! I picked this book up as a curiosity, because like everyone else, I've seen new gadgets, shops and web sites that I had casually considered previously. This book is a great read for anyone who has had the same notion, but thought the process is probably too difficult - I've learned it's not! The author presents a step-by-step method for getting involved with the innovation process on several different levels, depending on the amount of available time and level of commitment. Written very clearly with lots of examples, hints and sources.

Just finished reading Mike Collin's book and have to say he did a great job! I wish it had been available when I first started inventing. It would have saved me a lot of hardship and time. It is filled with great insight and common sense tools that every Inventor can use.
I have read a number of other Inventor help type books and always felt that they just didn't give the reader any useful information. Mike's hit the nail on the head with great information and personal experiences, not only by himself, but other Inventors. This book is a winner!

This book provides a practical roadmap for everyday inventors seeking to cash in on their ideas. It has just the right combination of helpful information, business strategy, real life stories and inspiration to get that idea off the shelf and moving toward making you money.

My introduction title says it all. Never have I read a book with as much hands on, useable information as I've read in this book. Other enterpreneural books are laden with too much "pop psychology speaking optimism, keeping your chin up, never taking no for an answer". This is the first book I've read that contained information that I could acutally use, nearly on every page. Great job Mike. Please put out another one. I'll be the first at the bookstore.

Loved it! A real fast read with some great characters. The whole time I was reading I was thinking how this would make a great film by Quentin Tarantino. I saw an armored car out on the street soon after finishing the book and my mind just went crazy replaying the book. I would strongly recommend it. It's fun to follow all the deception.

It's a heist story unlike any other--filled with action and adventure...a technicolor cast of characters: gangbangers, Wall Streeters, blue-collar cops, white-collar crooks...and a truckload of cash. Hold on tight for the ride of your life and a twist that will leave you cringing, laughing, and looking forward to the inevitable movie.

It was sexy and great fun. I couldn't put it down! In fact, I missed my class and screamed at the surprise ending. It will be a great movie!

A motley-crew of characters involved in multiple double-crosses leaving you not only to wonder who can be trusted, but who will really make out like a bandit. A good fun read that keeps you in suspense with a great unexpected twist in the end.

Looking forward to seeing it on the big screen one day.

I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to get an understanding of their personal finances. These are real life questions with easy-to-understand answers.

The question and answer format allows one to pick and choose those financial subjects one is interested in. There is no wasting of time to go through pages of uninteresting information. The book deals with every conceivable financial problem and information one would want to ask about, and the answers are written in a very concise and easy to understand manner. This is a book for everyone, whether it is a home-maker, a student or a business person. Its a good investment !

Money Matters Made Easy is a book every starting, and regular investor should have on his, or her bookshelf. It covers 178 subjects from evaluating investments to home ownership, and more, like wills, understanding bonds,retirement etc, in short concise and very easy to understand paragraphs. Because it is written in a simple, common-sense way, it is a bargain, for what it contains, and is one investment, which can only lead to dividends in any ones' investments and also life style, since it covers paying for college, insurance and taxes. GO BUY IT !

I didn't really learn anything I didn't already know...

I was hoping to learn more of the business/office side of the food service industry...

Such as how to arrive at retail pricing, how to determine if product is being stolen, etc...

Good book/dvds for someone "completely" stupid in customer service, food prep, basic construction, etc...

Useless to a reasonably educated person...

Since I am a BBQ'er, I appreciated this video and book. It is packed with useful information and takes a hands-on approach that is great. The host actually shows how to make his food, and gives some great ideas on how to market and save money. The only thing I would ask for is an explaination on how to price items.

The videos are excellent, it's as if a friend was showing you how to do the business and be successful. Even if you are not planning to do a BBQ concession this package will show you "tricks of the trade" on marketing, operations and using ready-made products with your own twist.
Thanks to the author I learned a lot.

I originally bought this for my husband and ended up watching the DVD's with him. They are really packed with a lot of information and with valuable tips from a real professional.

Now BBQ became our first choice of foods to sell. The recipes in the film are truly wonderful and turned out well the first time we tried them. We also will focus on Tex-Mex foods that are very popular in our area.

The book gave us lots of good ideas that we will use in our own business. The author is right: cooking for fun is one thing- cooking for money is another! It was good to watch someone else do it first. Probably saved me from making lots of mistakes!

Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and I am glad I found it!

To address some of the questions that the reader might have:

* This course is very easy to digest but will take about 4-5 hours of your time.
* It covers a great deal of many different subjects related to concession sales.
* Previous experience in this field is not necessary.
* The Dvd's give several good menu suggestions next to full instructions on preparing a variety of barbecue meals.
* Mr. Robertson shows a lot of experience and enthusiasm in his field.
* There is an Index of links as well as recipes towards the end of the book.

The author did an excellent job at describing ways how to get started in your own concession vending business. I have been operating a ball game concessions stand for over 8 years, next to my day job as a teacher and I have become quite experienced in this field. I know that there is a lot of money to be made with food sales. At sports events, the food and drinks are an essential part of the whole fun, no matter how pricey they are. The only drawbacks are the ever increasing concession fees to set up at the games. This is yet another reason, why owning a business as an independent operator makes a lot of sense.

After reviewing this course, I was able to learn a great deal more about concession sales. If you are thinking about starting out in this field, I can highly recommend it!

This book is a sign of the times. Everyone needs a little bit of help making ends meet. With the rising gas prices, credit crush and the like, living only on one regular paycheck just isn't cutting it.
