Kids in upper grades would do well to use this as a model for their reports. Spare facts are linked together by wonderful rtwork that convinces the reader that THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW. While there is no real schema to the text, it ends with a feeling of love for the ocean, gratitude for its gifts. Read this to your older students before you turn them loose to write science reports and see if it doesn't improve their writing and organization of information!

This dreamy book offers up some of the best images of Odilon Redon's work. The format is nice and is reminiscent of all those great art reference books. I had this book when I was younger and am glad to own it again. ALthough perhaps overlooked- his work is magical and captivating and has a good representation in this book.

Now, as someone with a Greek vocabulary of approximately 30 words, I find that this is a very intimidating book. All of the notes are in Latin, which I understand moderately well, and all of the text is in Greek, which I don't. Additionally, the font this book is typed in maked lower case theta look slightly like an upside-down delta until I realized what it actually was.

But, for someone with a high degree of confidence in Greek and Latin, this is an excellent text. It doesn't have unnecessary notes lining the bottoms of every page (As far as I can tell, they're just variants that different editors or copyists have published.)Other than the business with theta and possibly an issue with digammas (I haven't come across any yet, so I can't be sure), the text is clear and easy to read, with plenty of punctuation.

I give this two thumbs up, and will probably purchase a copy for myself once I've got more experience with the language.

I have not read this book. I would like to read it. Can you send me a free copy since I can't afford its price. In fact, I am translating one of Al-Kindi's work on optics from Arabic to English. We used Offa's Dyke Path South by Kay et al to walk from Capel-y-Ffin to Knighton in the Summer of 1998. The trail was clearly and accurately explained and historical notes made our three day journey even more enjoyable. The maps were good, however I would recommend that you still take a compas and ordnance survey map, just in case. In conclusion, we found the Guide was well worth the purchase price and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering walking Offa's Dyke Pathway.

I read the original leather 1878 version that contains only 432 pages. The text is in Latin and contains the Gregorian chant notations. This book contains two indexes: an Alphabetical Index and General Index. The General Index is laid out in a table of contents format.

This book covers the Divine Office for Holy Week from Palm Sunday through Holy Saturday inclusive. Including as mentioned above all appropriate Gregorian chant notations.

The Ohio Theatre was built by Loew's for United Artists studios in the late 1920s and still stands there today. A beautiful building, the Spanish Baroque interior is an amazing sight to see with its ornate details and plush seating. The moving organ chamber and daunting stage area now exhibit live performances and in the summer are featured in CAPA's movie series for classic films.

This book commemorates an amazing piece of history right in the heart of Columbus. The building was meant to be torn down, an event that would have taken away years of fond memories and history. The first film shown at the Ohio Theatre was The Divine Lady, Greta Garbo's only lost film. Stars like Jean Harlow and Conrad Nagel made appearances there. Judy Garland played ping pong with local boys in one of the many leisure rooms after one of her appearances. Over time, the scenery around the theatre changed, but the theater did not. Unfortunately, the public changed too, and after several decades, the property was sold and was scheduled to be demolished. But then something wonderful happened. The public began to protest and rise up against such drastic action. They raised tens of thousands of dollars to save the property and invested even more time and money to restore it back to its original splendor.

The Theatre could be compared with the Cinema Paradiso in the film of the same name, only this one is real. And it was saved. Here is it's story told through photographs and by those involved in its history.

I envy you if you have not read this book yet. No... I am not connected to the author in any way other than I admire and appreciate his work.

It's essentially the unintentional notes of an old man who is no longer among us. Unintentional because... its a collection of essays that he wrote to himself. I don't think he had any intention of sharing his private thoughts, doubts, and musing.

If you are questioning the path in life you have taken, going through a rough time in your life, or simply want to know what real strength is about... you'll appreciate this book.

Greenleaf's observations are penetrating and will definitely cause you to examine your own life. You'll either love it or hate it... depending upon how strong and just what kind of leader... you really are.
