This book is the best at telling you how to sell and auction your antiques via the Web. And it references other great books, including "Royal Winton Porcelain: Ceramics Fit For A King," by Eileen Rose Busby, which, at their recommendation, I promptly bought and was glad I did.

I believe this rivals The Idiot as Dostoyevsky's greatest masterpiece. The way it is written, you won't be able to put it down for one second. It is extremely compelling, and at times shocking. It tells the story of a teenager who is coming to terms with his real father (who was absent most of his life) and the society he is about to enter as an adult, both of which are corrupt and completely immoral. The insanity that unvails will give you nightmares and make you extremely grateful that you are not a part of this madness.

I had the amazing privilege while I was in college, to study under the dynamic and eccentric Dr. Killiam, who co-wrote this book with the "Italian Department" on campus, Dr. Ascari.

Dr. Killiam's class on Semiotics, the theory and study of signs and symbols, especially as elements of language or other systems of communication, and comprising semantics, syntactics, and pragmatics, changed the way I view the whole world, not just France, which the class focused on.

This book takes that class a step further. This is really an excellent book for students of French who are looking to deepening their understanding of the complex language and culture of France. It will certainly open your mind to reading in French, but it will also improve your cultural and linguistic comprehension in other languages as well.

This is a great book do begin reading in French. The language is very simple, la parole des rues, and the plot is a zinger, though its progression remains natural and expertly done. Each successive voice is distinct and impressive. It is one of the more favorite books I have ever read. Japrisot is the type of storyteller who has such a mastery of his talent that he can lead you into the most tangenital places, and then you realize that you were headed there all along. Read this in French if you can, but read this.

"L'Heure Juste", publié chez Stanke International par l'économiste québécois Rodrigue Tremblay, est un livre plein de sagesse politique. Ses 24 chapitres ouvrent toutes sortes de perspectives nouvelles sur de vieux problèmes, tels comment réformer notre système de santé pour le rendre plus efficace et plus humain (chap. 16); comment la religion peut devenir source de violence et de terrorisme (chaps. 1 et 4)); quelle devrait être la position du Canada face aux États-Unis (chaps. 20 et 23), ...etc..

Rodrigue Tremblay est un de nos grands penseurs économiques et politiques. Sa grande vision et sa longue expérience font de ses écrits des phares de réflexion dans notre monde déboussolé. Ce livre est à lire et à méditer.

Ce livre est à la croisée de données philosophiques, sociologiques, historiques, juridiques et économiques.
Il brosse un tableau généraliste de la relation entre l'éthique et l'entreprise en France depuis la révolution industrielle. Le point fort de cet ouvrage est qu'il adopte systèmatiquement une perspective comparatiste en étudiant ce qui se passe sur le continent européen comme dans le nouveau monde. Son point faible est qu'il est parfois un peu trop exhaustif, ce qui allourdi considérablement la lecture.
Les auteurs étudient l'historique des ressources humaines et mettent en parallele les différentes théories et ils démontrent que le paternalisme est une des premières formes de ressources humaines. Le paternalisme n'a pas disparu en France, on le retrouve encore sous différentes formes.
L'entreprise paternaliste faisait du social car au XIX siécle elle était la seule à le faire. Avec l'apparition de l'État providence, elle n'a plus vocation à le faire, elle se recentre sur le domaine économique. C'est avec la remise en cause de cet État providence que les abus des firmes sont dénoncés. Depuis les années 1990, il y a une réelle volonté de s'occuper de l'ethique dans l'entreprise et à l'extérieur de l'entreprise. On a parlé d'entreprise citoyenne. Mais de telles politiques apparaissent comme des moyens de communication interne et externe, en vue d'augmenter la productivité des salariés et des profits.
A lire absolument pour tous ceux qui croient en une entreprise citoyenne... et tous ceux qui la diabolise!
