There are few brand names in the world that provoke such an image of power, rebellion, and individual freedom as does the name "Harley-Davidson." This book takes us on a reading journey with the big boys on Harley's to Sturgis, South Dakota and on the road across America. I was already imagining myself as this rebel in black leather riding into town as I looked at the photos of those bikers cruising down the main street. The truth is that today's bikers are regular folks and not much like those gangsters that Marlon Brando portrayed in "The Wild One" many long years ago.

There is a certain mystical quality to the lore and myth that surrounds Harley bikes and their riders. This book picks up on some of that powerful energy. The photos really capture the beauty and artistry of these machines. What is nice about this book for younger people is that it does not glorify "The Hell's Angels" image and delivers something much more family friendly and enriching. The text is good at getting the reader little pieces of information and history. It makes a great marriage to the colorful photos which are abundant inside the book.

A good read for young men of all ages. Should be of greatest interest to teenage boys but it appeals to the young at heart!

I personally recommend this book for all young male readers and old dreamers like myself! A must read book!

I have had this book for years and just looked it up at Amazon to see if my beat up copy could be replaced. It can!!!
This is a wonderful review book with all kinds of little memory hints and pointers that simply remind me of what I already know. Of course it is a review book so you need to have studied french grammar first. I have and just finished going through all of Schaum's Grammar Review workbook which I also recommend. After having done the Schaum's I use Creighton's book to recall things I presumably know - like I just used it to clariy "dont" and it was just what I needed.

I have used Harrisons since the eighties. I am a Clinical Psychologist dealing with patients who often have multiple medical problems. Harrison's is a complete solution to getting up to the date medical information, not only the book and CD but also the Website. It is expensive, but if you only ever buy one medical text, this has to be the one.

Great book! Last night I was not able to go to sleep until I have finished it. "La chambre des secrets" was opened again and anything can happen now. I came with Harry back to Hogwarts and was affraid with him about his school-mates and friends, the most annoying thought was that the scholl can be closed and Harry will have to spent the rest of his life with Dursleys ... I was really close to belive that Hagrid is ... uuuuf what a night. I really like old Dumbledore's phoenix. And as a girl maybe I can join Harry Potter's fan club togehter with Myrtle and little Ginny. Which of us will have Harry's attention most ?

I really recommend you not to read this book just before sleep, better close it before the end and start at the morning again. Or aren't you affraid of any monsters dreaming of, are you?

Having read all the books in English, I picked this up to see what I could make of it. It is extremely well-edited; it keeps the important plot points and preserves all the flavor of the original book. Reading it in French, I noticed some subtle (and really adorable) things that I missed in English, simply becuase I had to read more carefully. I kept my dictionary close at hand, but it really is written on the level of, probably, a 9-year-old.

I've just finished reading Stephanie Lowell's Careers in the Nonprofit Sector. I recommend it highly. Almost every page contains a profile about someone working with nonprofits. Lowell supports these profiles with thorough discussions of how to find work in nonprofits, why work for nonprofits, and what nonprofits are like.

About half of the book categorizes the nonprofits. I found these the most useful sections. They subdivide each sector, list the hot topics, discuss the roles for MBAs, present profiles, and provide addresses and web sites.

There is two recurring themes: the rewards of working for nonprofits and the importance of volunteering. Everyone working for a nonprofit or wanting to work for a nonprofit should read this book.

It's a very nice looking book with a lot of nice looking pictures of diffrent havana brands. The BEST cigar coffe table book i'll ever seen.
