I Flew!
When I read this book, I could not put it down. I flew! I read "Shapeshifting" by Perkins also and loved it. I came to "Psychonavigation" expecting to hear more of the same. But was I in for a pleasant surprise! This is a terrific book -- and it complements Shapeshifting. Perkins is a powerful teacher. He has helped me transform my life and learned to fly! What more can I say? Except: Read it!

Good Storytelling and Useful Techniques
I really enjoyed this book, having read Perkin's other books, Shapeshifting and World As You Dream It. The thing that I especially liked about this one was that he included a shamanic journeying technique at the end of his book. Therefore, not only do you get the great storytelling and inspiration found in the other two books, but you also get a useful tool which you can easily incorporate into your life. Another bonus of this book is that it is not exclusively centered upon the Shuar of South America. Perkins also recounts his journeys and experiences in the Andes and Indonesia. This is the book where you learn in-depth about Perkin's experiences that led him to further develop his interactions with the Shuar -- experiences briefly mentioned in the two books above. Even if you are the kind of person who tends to shy away from personal stories in spirituality books, I still recommend this book. I'm one too, and yet I find Perkin's works valuable.

Ten Thousand Whispers : A Guide to Conscious Creation

This book creates a new excitement about living-day by day.
Dahl reminds us to be constantly vigilant with our thoughts and beliefs in order to create the reality we desire for ourselves. She does not claim to have discovered something new, but rather reminds those who are familiar with the Seth material, and those who may not have yet independently discovered it, that each of us is personally responsible for the circumstances of our lives. I have consciously used some of the more simple illustrations of creating what I choose to experience, and it works. We do create our own reality - NOW.

How to change your life.
As a science oriented person I can understand the controversy over some of the issues contained throughout this material. However, not only have I developed a renewed understanding of my "self", I am able to integrate my understanding of "this" reality with that of which we have all forgotten. This book has given me the key to our forgotten system, and it is up to us as individuals whether or not we are willing to remember. Why not? This book is fantastic! In my opinion, this material does not represent any new, alternative perceptions of reality; it is our traditional ways of thinking that are alternative! Enjoy:)

Wreck of the Titanic Foretold?
Published in Hardcover by Prometheus Books (May, 1986)
Author: Martin Gardner
Amazon base price: $28.95
Used price: $12.95
This wonderful book contains both the best evidence that the sinking of the Titanic was perceived in advance by extrasensory perception, and the best scientific assessment of that ESP evidence.

Exhibit A is the weirdly prescient Morgan Robertson novel published 14 years before the 1912 calamity, The Wreck of the Titan (originally published as Futility). From early-20th-century spiritualist Ella Wheeler Wilcox to modern woo-woo guru Uri Geller, who helped launch a whole Library of the Supernatural series with the strange coincidences in Robertson's book, people have puzzled over how, as Wilcox put it, Robertson managed to "fix on almost the very name which was afterward given to the ill-fated sea monster."

And there are more than 20 startling similarities between the dread tale of the Titan and the real, subsequent Titanic--both ships, for instance, were considered unsinkable, were the biggest ever, grazed an iceberg on the starboard side near midnight on the New York-England line at just over 22 knots, and were owned by a British firm with headquarters in Liverpool and a branch office in New York. On Broadway, to be eerily specific.

Robertson's story, and the story of his life, are interesting, but what makes this book great is the essay that makes sense of it all. The author (and editor of the book) is Martin Gardner, one of the most fun-to-read science writers ever. He is a fellow of CSICOP, the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, and coauthor of How to Think About Weird Things. (Gardner also urges you to read Michael Shermer's delightfully illuminating Why People Believe Weird Things: Pseudoscience, Superstition, and Other Confusions of Our Time.)

Gardner also includes the short story "From the Old World to the New," by W.T. Stead, a spiritualist, whose story features an iceberg-caused shipwreck on the North Atlantic, a captain named Edward J. Smith, and two lovers-at-first-sight named Rose and Jack (Kate Winslet's and Leo DiCaprio's characters' names in the 1998 film). After writing it, Stead boarded the Titanic, run by Capt. Edward J. Smith, and died in the shipwreck. (Key Twilight Zone music.)

Gardner includes other good stuff: a neat, evocative photo of the Titanic's Veranda Cafe, plus poems anticipating and commemorating the disaster, the best being Arthur Conan Doyle's "Ragtime!":

Ragtime! Ragtime! Keep it going still!
Let them hear the ragtime! Play it with a will...
There's glowing hell beneath us where the shattered boilers roar,
The ship is listing and awash, the boats will hold no more...
Don't forget the time, boys! Eyes upon the score!
Never heed the wavelets sobbing down the floor!

Titanic book rises again
The following review was printed in Doubting Thomas #1 (reprinted here with permission):

I am a fan of Gardner's work, especially his 1952 Fads & Fallacies in the Name of Science which helped jump start the skeptical movement. Gardner's wit is always refreshing and the curious reader is never disappointed.

So, it was a great pleasure to see this book being offered again after its initial publication in the mid-80s, not long after the remains of Titanic were found by Dr. Robert Ballard....

I would recommend this book in two ways: to read a good critique on precognition on this specific case, and as a selection of century-old literature that cannot be found in many places.

Great book for rationalists!
Martin Gardner, acclaimed rationalist, debunks those who would call Robinson psychic. Some of the "amazing coincidences" regarding "The Wreck of the Titan" may in fact be explained by the White Star Line's own news releases! Gardner includes the Robinson story, plus lots of other related Titanic material. Great book.

Brigitte is a shining star that writes and brings joy
Brigitte is a true artist and her work is extremely passionate, poetic. When you read her books you feel her presence and the wonder of her character. She carries a message of peace, warmth, and eternal love. Her sadness translates in strange events that show a poetic craving to find happiness.

I read all her works and didn't stop until I finished. I would be happy to read more.

A breathtaking experience!
This book is a breathtaking experience! It is well written and gives us account of the steps we can move up to our return of wholiness! A very grateful emotion for me and friends I have recommended it. But, as I live in Brazil and many people do not read English, I would like to know if there is the Portuguese translation...

laugh up a lung? or real information?
If you have ever been in any religion, you will find the words of this book to ring true.
I went from being idealistic to realizing that leading questions can cause your mind to think whatever your d*mn religious leader wants you to.

Candle Burning: Its Occult Significance (Paths to Inner Power)

Helpful
Michael Howard tells you how to work with candles. Candle have been used by esotericism and religion alike for centuries. They have a practical usage. More than that, however, candles can literally bring about change: they induce magic.

Now I am not writing this for unbelievers. They are too short-sided to appreciate the art of candle burning.

An Ideal First Book on Chakras
Chakras are energy centers associated with well-being and consciousness. It is a very, very complex topic and if you are interested, you need to start from a beginners' book. This booklet is like a "kindergarten" level book about chakras. Try reading this. If you can't even manage this booklet, forget about chakras---it is not for everyone.
