The classic, unsurpassed work on ESP, ghosts & hauntings.
This book is the unsurpassed "bible" of how to investigate haunting cases by the knowledgable director of the Office of Paranormal Investigations, Loyd Auerbach. It is witty, well-written, and gives an accurate and entertaining account of basic concepts such as the types of ESP, how to differentiate a ghost from a haunting, and identifying fraud. Though hard to find, this book is a real must read for anyone at all interested in the subject.

A great beginner's guide or reference book

A wonderful book!
I recently purchased this book and I think it is the best book on this subject that I have ever read! Al G. Manning writes in a postive, uplifting way and I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested. Definitley worth it!

Excellent volume with good "practical" information.
I first read this book when I was about 14, around 1978. There is a concentration exercise using a number 2 pencil that I still remember to this day. This book approaches E.S.P. from the standpoint of accessing the untapped capabilities of our physical brain. Although the theme is generally metaphysical, I found the book to be very scientific, practical and sensible. I highly recommend this book not only to those interested in E.S.P. but also to those interested in enhancing their more traditional mental abilities such as memory, focus and attitude.

From the beautiful Canid on the cover to Ms. Decker's soothing voice, I loved this disc! I remember releying heavily on my intuition as a child. But like most people, I have been taught over the years to ignore the little voice inside me that tries in vain to guide me around obstacles, and toward the happy destiny that awaits. I Talk to the Animals

I Talk to the Animals
I am Lisa, and Arrow was my beloved horse who Barbara Morrison writes
about in two places in her book. Barbara's gifts as an animal psychic
are astounding. She is a gifted and "real" clairvoyant, and
she is profoundly adept at helping the animals and the people she
communicates with. I called her for emergency help as my great horse
lay dying. I was frantic for help and she was there with great
compassion and gentleness, and helped Arrow and me through his final
hours. She said he had a vertebrae which was snapped or broken, and he
did...he couldn't get up and he was ready to pass on. I was
heartbroken. Later last summer Barbara did a session for me. She
indicated there was a new horse, young and chocolate brown with white
on her legs, coming to me in the spring of 2001. She said this was a
gentle horse and would raise her hoofs in greeting, and remind me of
Arrow. Months later in a "chance" encounter with a Morgan
horse breeder, I was introduced to the young mare with the white on
her legs. She trotted over to the pasture fence and stopped and
immediately raised her hoof in her sweet greeting. This is one
example of Barbara's powerful psychic gifts. She is authentic, very
humble and very totally sincere and for real. I highly recommend this
book to everyone who wants to be gifted a glimpse into the animals
psychic's world. I can say truely she made the worst heartbreak of my
life bearable, and gave me strength to honor the horse that I loved so
dearly. She gave me vision into Arrow's spirit and his presence after
he left the 33 year old body he lived in. I can't say enough about
Barbara Morrison or her book! Buy it, read it, and contact her for a
session about you and your animals...you will not regret a moment of
that experience, I promise!

Fantastic at psychic readings
I have read this book that Barbara has written and have also had the opportunity to meet her and have her tell me about my animals both present and past. She did a fantastic job and is very in tune with the animal as well as the owner. I highly recomend this book to everyone who owns or has owned an animal. It is fantastic!!!!

Intuition Magic: Understanding Your Psychic Nature
As a child, Linda Keen learned to hide her metaphysical experiences. As an adult she risked ridicule "by discussing my communication with spiritual beings on national radio and television [where] it became obvious to me how important it is for everyone who has psychic experiences to bring them out into the open."

Her latest book, Intuition Magic: Understanding Your Psychic Nature, is intended "to help you unveil the spiritual aspects of your world in a simple and playful manner." It reflects her belief that we all have psychic abilities, and that those abilities need to be developed, rather than hidden.

The first part of the book tells how she learned about her own intuition and spirituality. The remainder of the book is designed to help readers "learn to trust in the intangible world and all the miracles and magic to be witnessed. . .."

Keen defines intuition as "knowing without reasoning. It's sensing information coming from your own source within, without intellectual effort." One of the keys is learning to trust and use our imaginations. She provides numerous exercises for stimulating the imagination and intuition. Other exercises focus on transforming the way in which we see ourselves and healing old hurts.

One chapter is devoted to learning how to go with the flow, that is "to let go of old, limiting patterns, trust the universe, and surrender to your destiny." Another chapter focuses on "dealing with the dark side" of our human natures. She also explains how to get in touch with our inner teacher and our spiritual guides and helpers. The book ends with a chapter on healing others.

All of the exercises are explained clearly and simply. None require anything other than some quiet time to yourself and a desire to develop your own intuitive and psychic powers.

Linda Keen is the founder, with her husband, of the School of Intuitive Development in the Netherlands, and is an internationally-recognized leader in the field of intuitive research. She designed Intuition Magic "not only to acquaint you with some new ideas, but also to give you a complete hands-on experience, providing concepts and exercises you can put to use right away." Readers will find that she succeeded in her goal.

Easy to read guide for developing intuition
Just as you would need an instruction book for learning any skill like accounting or building a bookcase, Intuition Magic de-mystifies the psychic world and provides nice, down-to-earth guidelines for developing our intuitive side. Linda Keen makes it clear that you do not have to be a gifted shaman to consider yourself intuitive or psychic. Far from being remote, she befriends us by sharing her own initial doubts and lack of confidence at the beginning of her own psychic journey, something which most of us feel. She then describes her successes and challenges at an intuition school with brevity, generously sharing what she learned there. Her advice on "grounding energy", i.e, staying connected to the physical world while expanding the spiritual, to maintain a healthy balance of energy, is vital to anyone beginning their own spiritual journey. She also gives great perspective on how to establish "psychic boundaries" in order to maintain neeeded independence from other people's emotions and energies. Her ideas on developing psychic vision, ability to read auras and actually do healings are, again, very easy to understand, very readable. Her advice on receiving past life information is excellent, suggesting, first of all, that it is easier than we think and gives basic techniques. She reminds us to narrow our search to only those past life experiences that will help us clear old negative energies that keep us locked in unhealthy emotional patterns. All in all, the reader makes the transition from thinking they could nevr be psychic, to realizing we are all intuitive. We just have to wake it up with a little excercise and practice, with some healthy groundrules to remain focused and keep our feet on the ground. In this way, any fears one might have in beginning this process are dispelled, and our God-given, natural intuitive sense can be reclaimed. The book is small enough to fit in a purse, easy to read anywhere, very handy, with a beautiful cover. Highly recommended as we begin a new century when so many people are awakening their spiritual selves.

Intuition is also a practical manual that offers techniques to hone your intuition and free you of the negativity that can come with day-to-day living, and suggests ways to use your intuition as an advisor and healer for yourself and others. The First "Self-Help" Book that Made A Real Difference
If you're tired of the same self-defeating behavior knocking you back into the same Catch-22 situations, this book can be very helpful. When I plucked it off the New Book shelf at the library, I chose it for it's title, "Intuition",...not knowing it was really a book about meditation technique. Being somewhat desperate at the time to try to understand why I could not resolve the same life issues that kept cropping up over and over, I decided I had nothing to lose. Following the guidelines in the book, the meditation sessions worked wonderfully for me. I was able to discover thought patterns that I had accepted as "the truth" which were, in fact, lies for me. This book will prompt you to TRUST YOURSELF and live by your intuitive thoughts. Discovering the difference between "learned" values and beliefs vs. guidance from your own inner being will set you free. Embracing your new-found wisdom will be the impetus that moves you forward toward a happier, more authentic, intuitive life. Good luck in your quest.

Learning how to "really" trust yourself - read this.
If ever there is book that reveals how to trust "yourself" and if you are tired of fear, and tired of "those" groups which warn you if you don't keep coming back, and you want "not" to doubt yourself, and desire to give up listening to those old defeating ideas from the past, and are interested in overcoming the habits that keep you in bondage, this book will reveal this and much more. Yes I am very "sorry" for the very long winded sentence, but this book will cause you to soar. If you have a weak heart and don't have the courage to be pushed out of the nest, the comfort zone, then this book may be better kept on the shelf. If you're stuck and you're tired of getting let down by your significant other or are tired of letting your self down, then by all means pick up this book.

The Law of Psychic Phenomena: A Working Hypothesis for the Systemic Study of Hypnotism, Spiritism, Mental Therapeutics, Etc.

The nearest anyone has got to the truth!
So far as psychic phenomena are concerned, people generally come into two categories: they believe everything they are told or they are total sceptics. Hudson chooses a middle course: he accepts the authenticity of psychic phenomena, but he examines them objectively, refusing to be swayed either by believers or by wishful thinking. His tools are experiment and cold reasoning. The result was that Dr Hudson made few friends among sceptics or believers alike; and this is why this classic work, first published in 1893, has been neglected. Hudson formulates three simple psychological laws, dividing the mind into objective mind (the conscious) and subjective mind (the subconscious). The subjective mind is capable of all kinds of psychic gifts but is open to hypnotic suggestion. This explains why, in the presence of sceptics and negative comments psychic gifts suddenly disappear. Hudson's chosen middle course blasts the sceptics, but it also lays into many believers as well. Spiritualists will not be very happy, because Hudson's laws, coupled with experiment, busts spiritualism. He shows beyond doubt that "contact with the dead," whether by medium, automatic writing, ouija board or planchette is merely contact with one's own subjective mind. (It also works for the electronic voice phenomenon.) Nowadays Hudson's laws are all but forgotten. However, they are - especially when coupled with Carl Jung's multi-layered subjective mind - the most formidable explanation of psychic phenomena ever devised. In every science, things are chaotic until someone arrives to rationalise the science and give his fellow scientists something to work with. In physics he is Isaac Newton, in psychology he is Sigmund Freud, and in parapsychology he is Thomson Jay Hudson. If you are searching for the truth, look no further.

Explanation of the laws of the psychic subjective mind.
TJH's explanation of the laws that govern psychic phenomenon is a bit hard to understand due to the scientific nature of the language used to outline his theory of psychic phenomenon. TJH believed that the mind was dual, split into the objective mind and subjective mind. The objective mind processes the concrete, material world and the subjective mind, or the eternal mind of the soul, is responsible for processing the abstract, invisible world. The subjective mind is dependent on the objective mind and the knowledge and information that it perceives from the visual sensory world, and is, therefore, highly open to the power of suggestion...ie..hypnosis.

Love Never Dies

A wonderful reading book.
A wonderful story of the connections between those of us on this earth, and those of us who have already passed to another plane. It includes some amazing details on how we are helped by our guardian angels, and how we can have these helpers changed, as well as help in understanding how our thoughts, good and bad, have an impct on those who have died.It includes a very insightful description of what happens when a human dies, and where our soul goes at that moment. Mrs Williams' guide describes how the newly departed soul is taken care of and helped in his/her new surroundings, something that should comfort all of us here on earth. Her comments on how the living should deal with a suicide helped me understand what I can do to help both the person who took their own life and also myself. If we can think of the day of death as "our new birthday" perhaps it will make death easier for all of us, those who die and those who are left behind.

Reading this book will give hope to everyone who has to deal with death, as we all have to, both for ourselves and those we love.

Great book if dealing with the loss of a loved one.
When I first read "Love Never Dies" I was enthralled. I could not put it down. Other books on losing someone you love always dealt with more mundane matters, relocation, care of finances, energizing oneself. That is hard to do when your whole world is shattered. But "Love Never Dies" goes beyond the mundane. Ms. Williams comes alive on the pages, as does her late husband. She talks of the trauma she went through, the despair, but then there shines through the account of contact with him again, the love she thought had died with him comes alive once more. Ms. Williams not only writes of her experiences, she gives aid and comfort to the reader, teling them how to achieve what she has achieved, albeit with patience. "Love Never Dies" also deals with some of the pitfalls that beset the bereaved. Sometimes we find that friends do not really understand what this is all about and make unknowingly hurtful comments. No one really understands your troubles until that have walked in your shoes. Ms. Williams lets the reader know throughout the book that she has been there, and she deals with all kinds of bereavement from many sources. "Love Never Dies" also tells how to help those we love who are no longer with us. To know that we can take an active part in helping and loving those who have gone before us gave me a tremendous boost. I no longer felt frustrated and helpless and lonely. I could do something constructive to help the one I lost, and in doing so, help myself. Ms. Williams' informal style of writing draws the reader in. I felt as though I were sitting at her dining table and listerning to her while we had coffee. She did, indeed, help me work through my grief because she made me feel that I was not alone; that somebody else had been there before me; that someone else knew the emptiness and pain I was feeling. "Love Never Dies" is a wonderful book to read, not only for those who have lost a loved one, but simply for the interesting and uplifting story it tells.
