I love this book
I read this when it was first published and it has been a major influence in the way I look at the universe ever since. Dorothy's story of her unfolding awareness is wonderful. The "Kingdom of the Gods" book by Hodson and the Perelandra Garden books are also good and along similar lines, but this one is my favorite.

Fascinating
This is a very personal story about Dorothy's ordinary-turned-extraordinary life, as she expanded her consciousness in simple ways that anyone can do themselves, privately, not attempting to attract attention but seeking for her own personal fulfillment. The book is a real page-turner as it moves into Dorothy MacLean's spiritual adventures while she and the Caddys created the impossible-by-all-scientific-accounts garden at Findhorn, Scotland. It got to the point where I just couldn't put it down but did-- just so it wouldn't end! The messages she wrote down from the devas (her word for celestial beings that hold the blueprints for all of matter) are direct, simple and comforting -- but also haunting in their admonitions to mankind to work on an intuitive level with nature and have the courage to reduce the consumption and accompanying waste of our natural resources, which, as they very clearly communicated, creates a divide between man and the spiritual forces of the planet. As Albert Einstein said: "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."

Toward that end, I have found this book to be profoundly inspiring as I go about my not-very-extraordinary daily life, and I find myself thinking of Dorothy and the Caddys often as I seek the best possible solutions for my own daily problems. It has definitely expanded my own relationship with the world and my own infinitely smaller (but no less important) role on the planet.

Attuning to the Universe
Dorothy Maclean's first encounter with alternative spirituality was her introduction, through her husband John, to the Sufi teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan. Her friend Sheena Govan then schooled her with an emphasis on love (I Corinthians 13) and the bringing of love into every action.

One day in her kitchen Maclean suddenly realized that God was within her, an experience that could be called her "First Initiation." She began writing down inspired, intuitive thoughts as they occurred to her. Sheena Govan encouraged her to make this her regular practice.

But Sheena also encouraged Dorothy to find ways to express her God-centeredness in the mundane world. This meant, for example, leaving a comfortable job in order to become, literally, a servant. It also meant going through periods of despair when Dorothy lost everything she had previously valued-including her connection to God.

When Peter and Eileen Caddy secured the management of a large hotel in northern Scotland, Dorothy felt drawn to go with them. They ran even the smallest details of the hotel in accord with Eileen's inner guidance. Their practice was to do everything in the outer world with care, attention, and love. Their inner work included connecting with the worldwide Network of Light, connections made in the spirit of love. Dorothy also developed a refined sensitivity and learned to distinguish between the felt sense of various spiritual energies.

Apart from the autobiographical sections, much of the book consists of Dorothy's writings produced by attuning to these different energies, and her reflections on the material received.

Marvelous tool
This book is a marvelous tool for crystal working. Doesn't just give you a list of the stones and what they are good for (like almost every stone book out there) but teaches you about stone properties through color, among many other things. It teaches you how to work with your crystals, cleansing, meditating, programming, divining, use in jewelry, choosing and much more. Excellent tool, highly recommend.

The book to own if starting out.
This book cover much more than just stones and their propeties. In it you will learn how to work with them in various ways. It is a course book in many ways for she takes you thru lessons from one chapter to the next. This is not a new book but it is one of the best.

I really enjoyed this book!
It's so much more than just a crystal handbook. Very interesting and discusses many different aspects involved in healing.

psychokinesis
wow

Challenging, thought provoking, and persuasive
In "The Limits of Influence," Dr. Braude presents compelling examples and arguments to support not only the validity of non-experimental psi evidence, but also its potential value as the basis for development of a theoretical framework for psychokinesis. He includes fascinating accounts of mediums at work and discusses apparitions, telepathy, ESP, precognition, and other potential psi phenomena. I found the chapter on the "super psi" hypothesis amazing. Dr. Braude examines the concept in depth and suggests that psi might play a subtle and pervasive role in our everyday lives and be a reason for such things as coincidences or why some people are luckier, healthier, etc., than others. A solid 5 star reading experience

Worth reading!
The case reports are fascinating, and that it's a very convincing refutation of skepticism regarding psychokinesis.

An intriguing study backed with scientific percision
It's hard to easily categorize this title: a blend of psychology, physics, and spirituality written by a research psychologists, this develops his ideas on parallels between views of modern field theory and world-views of mystics. His focus on 'facts that do not fit' offers new insights on human abilities and potentials, describing the experiments which lead to his change of view, and his theory of the paranormal. An intriguing study backed with scientific percision.

Accessibly written for the non-specialist general reader
The Medium, The Mystic, And The Physicist: Toward A General Theory Of the Paranormal by psychologist, educator, and author Lawrence LeShan is a New Age book that persuasively presents evidence of psychic abilities, and seeks to draw together the views and science of mediums, mystics, and physicists alike. A extended contemplation of holistic theory, The Medium, The Mystic, And The Physicist transcends the tendency that people of different religious, spiritual, and scientific viewpoints and experiences have all to often been shortsightedly led to scorn one another. Accessibly written for the non-specialist general reader, The Medium, The Mystic, And The Physicist is a unique and very welcome contribution to Psychology and Metaphysical Studies reading lists.

A Very Important Book on healing and meditation
This genius book is Le Shan's exploration into methods of healing that use meditation, and/or prayer. I want to re-read the book and review it after, but it is a remarkable pieve of work by a great psychologist who has worked for years on the psychodynamics of cancer. I read it years ago and have,as a psychotherapist, used it many times to help heal individuals (and two dogs). It's powerful stuff..and important work for the future of holistic medicine. Every therapist, physician and minister should read it cover to cover. I am a New york city psychotherapist, writer.

Miracles of the Mind: How to Use the Power of Your Mind for Healing and Prosperity

Breakthrough Book
This book is immediately helpful! After reading through a very interesting life story of the author, the book outlines simple details of THE TOOL. Using THE TOOL has helped me to clear up a sinus condition the very first time I tried it !

His life story details his progress towards creating THE TOOL in a scientific manner.. hypothosis followed by experiment leading to conclusion. Definetely recommended reading for anybody willing to stretch the bounds of healing and reality manifestation.

A truly inspiring story of personal triumph.
I was deeply inspired at reading Byron Gentry's biography, and about the self-help work he discovered and developed. This book empowers readers to quickly, simply, and painlessly make positive changes in their lives.

Easily understood by beginners interested in mental healing.
Dr. & Mrs. Gentry have condensed years of research and development into a concise methodology that even beginners can follow. I have used his methods for the past five years--they are failsafe. Especially useful is his method for energizing compatibility between two or more people. I have used his beacon method to bring to my practice just the right clientele whom I can help, are interested in my work, can benefit from it, can pay for it and who can refer other clients to me. His life story is very interesting. Dr. & Mrs. Gentry continue to do research. The key to do what they do is to practice, practice, practice! Mental healing takes energy and preciseness, conviction and intention. As he teaches, most of us spend too much time being angry--we waste vital energy. We need to take the energy we conjure up when angry & turn it and ourselves into positive energy to heal. Angry energy might as well be a shot gun. Healing energy is the miracle! It's free and abundant--everyone can manifest it.

Here is a collection of spine-tingling stories that we all recognize from our own encounters with inexplicable, woo-woo coincidences. The German homemaker who discovers a ring she lost 40 years before--inside a potato! The out-of-work musician who finds the gig-of-a-lifetime by listening to a mysterious voice in San Francisco. The woman who dreams of her husband drowning in a bathtub, only to rescue him from drowning in the bathtub the very next night. These "sly winks of fate," as author Phil Cousineau calls them, give us hope that the hidden order of life is being determined by a higher order.

Sate Your Appetite for Synchronicity Stories
Seldom does one book manage to capture the mood and feeling of the hidden energies behind the mysterious synchronicities in our lives as well as Phil Cousineau's scintillating SOUL MOMENTS. From the first opening pages, this book transports the reader to a universe in which any and every synchronous experience is possible, and may well happen to you.

Just as Cousineau noted that synchronous events became much more prevalent in his life as he worked on SOUL MOMENTS, so too will the reader find these wondrous experiences begin to grace this otherwise hum-drum, workaday world. Suddenly we discover there is magic all around us, and it's for real!

I would love to tell you which synchronicity stories are my favorites from this beautiful collection -- but in truth, I find them all to be sparkling in clarity and bright with inspiration. After reading the moving accounts shared by observant individuals from all walks of life (including Larry Dossey and Huston Smith), even the smallest things no longer seem insignificant.

Treat yourself to a deeper view of the world that grows on you with each passing story, and get yourself a copy of SOUL MOMENTS. This is a book you'll treasure for years to come.

a nicely written book
this book presents synchronicity in a non-technical, easy to read format...reading the stories makes us appreciate our interconnectedness with the rest of the cosmos giving us a reason to hope and not to despair...

Bravo, Phil, for spinning a gossamer web--of what was...
Soul Moments: Marvelous Stories of Synchronicity -- Meaningful Coincidences from a Seemingly Random World, Conari Press (Reviewed by Carroll Straus) I may perhaps be biased, as my story is in this book. But the deep sense of peace I came away with after reading Soul Moments came from two sources. First, the realization that at both ends of the process of finding myself in the pages of such a book, meaningful "coincidences" pointed me in a direction that has given my life deep meaning, and second, after reading, it, I knew with absolute certainty that the "coincidences" are real, and that I am not alone in experiencing them. The forward to this book was written by Robert Johnson, whose gift for clarity in the otherwise esoteric realm of Jungian writing knows no equal. He writes that Jung thought that "synchronicity" -- apparently opportune "coincidences" that seem deeply meaningful and perhaps signs of grace -- should be taken as seriously as dreams in individuation; the "unfolding of the unique life of the soul." Of course, mainstream thought has not yet arrived here. This beautiful, thoughtful volume may do much to help change that. Among the contributors to this collection are Mark Watts, son of the late Alan Watts, so evocative of the sixties; Roberto Takoaka, a dermatologists in Brazil; Trish Sanders, a dancer in San Francisco's Bay Area; Madiline Nold, a psychotherapist from Brookline, Mass; Nick Carrington, a disc jockey in England, and Dr. Larrey Dossey, a leader in the field of spiritually based mind-body medicine -- among others. Oh -- and yours truly, a lawyer in Mission Viejo, California. Each of us, a square in a patchwork quilt whose pattern we could not see, seemed to tell our stories with the same delicacy, the same sense that not many would accept, uncritically, the numinous realities we had each experienced. But what is clear from the pattern which emerges is that these are not isolated events -- not in any way. Reading this collection, one never needs to feel isolated again, and I surely do not. I can only hope everyone else who bravely tendered such a moment from their lives received as exquisite a gift as I did. The writing and submitting of this story made me one cherished new friend, pointed me toward healing as a way to practice law, and gave me heart to believe this vision can and will come to pass. Anyone who reads this book will, I am sure, come away with the same comfort I did. Those who recognize this grace in their own lives are invited, on the final page, to join in the journey by sending their stories to Phil. I invite you, too. Soul Moments is an exquisitely crafted gossamer web -- of all of our lives.

Not As Meaty As Marrs Other Work, But ...
Jim Marrs is a cottage industry when it comes to conspiracy writings.

He has dealt with the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He has explored the behind-the-scenes histories and tinkerings of secret societies in their collective bid to control the fate of the planet. He has even given one fine comprehensive examination to the entire UFO phenomenon that will probably go unmatched in the history of UFO books.

In PSI SPIES, he deals with exposing the United States government's covert use of psychic powers (largely remote viewing) in the exploration of handling foreign affairs. While it's not a truly great book (I thought it lacked some of the depth of his other tomes, and that's largely due to the scraps of true facts and research available on the subject), it is still one fine piece of investigative journalism.

It's an important read if for no other reason for the reader to understand -- through the eyes of one of the book's principals -- to what extend a government is willing to reach ... and then attempt everything possible to cover it up in the end.

Incidentally, the book probably would've been far more in depth had the US Government not gone to attempting to keep it unpublished. Marrs has a way of tilting the scales in the direction of truth, so much so that he disturbs those secretly in power, and his books do rattle you to the bones in several places.

A must-read for conspiracy fans. A must-read for fans of the occult, in fact. And, a must-read for any person seriously interested in knowing the tentacles which clandestine operations try to grasp control of our very lives.

A convincing book about remote-viewing
Psi Spies is a short and get-to-the-point book introducing the reader to the topic of remote-viewing. The author's approach is to first prepare the reader with the history of the development of scientific studies of psychic ability in Russia and the U.S., and to show that there is much validity in "psi". From there, he shows how the government, particularly the military, became interested in the use of psychic ability through the technique of remote viewing for use in spying.

The importance of Marrs' book is that he covers all this territory with an extensive array of peoples' names, dates, agency names, and places. He is very thorough in this investigation which, in a subject such as this, is necessary to overcome the reader's skepticism. Having read "Alien Agenda" by Marrs, and having heard him speak several times in radio interviews, I highly respect his intelligence and his analysis of enigmatic topics, and this book is no exception.

In this book, Marrs does not present many examples of what the remote viewers, or psi spies, "saw" in their journeys into the psi dimension, his is a more analytical approach to the topic. For first-hand accounts by psi spies themselves, I highly recommend these two fascinating books: Mind Trek, by Joseph McMoneagle, and Psychic Warrior, by David Morehouse. If Marrs has convinced you that remote reviewing is "real", what those two remote viewers have "seen" will blow you away.

Incredibly Revealing Story
If you have ever had any doubts about the U.S. Government's use, and continued use, of intelligence gathering techniques that are officially discredited and disparaged, then read this book.

The Psychic Paradigm

Invaluable PSI primer!
This is an immensely interesting book. As strange as it may sound to those who have never tried it, I found the concepts, explanations and exercises amazingly helpful in developing my psi abilities in just minutes.

Beverly Jaeger instills a sort of confidence in the reader that seems to be a large part of opening the mind to the process of learning. Small steps lead to cumulative victories. I would have never believed I could read colors after a half-hour of trying! This is amazing.

A must-have for those looking to explore their natural psychic abilities painlessly.

The Best Psychic Guide I've Read.
I can't say enough about this book. It approaches this subject from the proper perspective. Beverly Jaegers presents the subject of "psi" without the muddle of mysticism. This does much for bringing psi out of the dark ages and into mainstream science (where it certainly belongs). Her exercises were fun and frighteningly effective. I found myself experiencing many of the psychic effects with shocking clarity. This lady knows what she's talking about. I would recommend this book to anyone who's serious about learning to harness their innate psychic abilities.

Remote Viewing skills - made easy
Being rather new to the world of Remote Viewing, I found that "The Psychic Paradigm" offered me several different options on how to fine-tune my R.V. skills. Ways that are easy and fun. This book is a Must Read for those trying to get from HERE to THERE - via the Psychic Freeway. Thumbs Up for a Wonerful Book - presently by a Wonderful Lady - Beverly Jaegers.
