This book takes the subject out of the realm of hocus-pocus and delves into the scientific facts of this very real phenomena that is actually more accessible than we think. A well-documented study on a subject that too often is not given the respect it deserves.

I suspect a microencephalic aardvark has more psychic ability than I do, but I looked at this book to see if there was any help for over-educated but psychically benighted Neanderthals like myself. Unfortunately, they don't tell you know to acquire these esoteric abilities, but for those lucky souls who already possess mental powers far beyond those of us mere mortals, this book is full of interesting tests if you want to test your psychic quotient, so to speak.

Thought Forces and Thoughts are things are essays dug out of the past and put into book form. Out of the many essays he wrote on day to day living (life) and how to live it only a handful were selected and with great difficulty. First published in 1908, it has had many reprints of which they are scarce. He tells it how it is and draws pictures for the mind to see how our thoughts affect every instant in our lives. I have read many books on the subject and wonder as to how many modern day writers have based their books on Prentice Mulfords two incredibly enlightening books. A man ahead of his time. The book gives instruction, encouragement, consequences, upliftment, reason and sound foundations for his reasoning. This book I put with a third by a different author and I call it a set of three wise books by two wise men. Also written around the same time is 'In Tune With The Infinite' by Ralph Waldo Trine. Replace your entire library with these three down to earth books and you'll have it all.

Harold Sherman was a researcher on the subject of ESP, and has written many books in his writing career. He earned his living by writing many football books for kids up to around 1950s. In the meantime, he was using himself as an experiment to research on ESP and power of mind.

He was not born with any unusual psychic abilities, yet with practice and research, he was able to tune his mind to read people's thoughts. I know a friend who knew Sherman in his later years, and said that Sherman could read people's thoughts, make coincidences happen, and several other ESP abilties. Sherman believed that ESP is something we all have, and that with practice we can use it more often in our life.

This book was written in the 1930s, after Sherman did a pioneering long-distance telepathy experiment with Sir Hubert Wilkins. Wilkins went to the North Pole to search for missing Russian pilots, while Sherman stayed in New York. Sherman will daily receive thoughts about Wilkin's feelings, thoughts and conditions, and write them on paper. The reports were submitted to several testifiers of the experiement so that the reports cannot be changed once submitted. There were no telephones, and when Wilkins returned to USA to show his report and diary, an amazing 80% of Sherman's 'readings' of Wilkins adventure was accurate! This was such big news then that it was published in newspapers in those days.

Sherman has good techniques to help you train your mind to do this. And with practice, it gets easier and better. If you are interested, also get his book "You Can Make ESP Work For You", which describes his lifetime of adventures with ESP, which saved his life many times.

Also recommended is Ernest Holmes' "Science Of Mind". It was Sherman who opened up my mind about such powers within our mind, and Ernest Holmes' Science of Mind further strengthens the practice and theories. The difference between Sherman and Holmes is that Sherman believed in minds, while Holmes theory of One Mind which is everywhere at all times(what people call God) really explains how it works.

THROUGH THE CURTAIN by Dr. Viola Petitt Neal is one of the most esoteric books around. It is a transcription of dream material that relates to understanding the universe, forms, light, color, education, and much more. Dr. Neal received this information from a series of class lectures in which she was invited to participate while asleep.

To benefit from the text, it is helpful if the reader has a background in spirituality, metaphysics, concrete and abstract science, and Theosophy.

Some of the revelations in the book are mind-boggling! Others merely confirm what you know about yourself and the universe in which you live. But the "real gold" of the text is in its penetrating analysis of psychological and scientific principles that are ageless. This is one book that really makes you think! Not recommended for the superficial or middle age security guard.

This book shows there is hope, magic and miracles in the world and you too can not only survive but indeed flourish! Synchronicity,miracles and magic interweave with the horror of an abused childhood but in the end love overcomes and transforms. A memoir which shows that nothing is insurmountable and that we are not our past but our future.

This is a nice recounting of the little known days of the government's Stargate project. If you are researching some history of the uses of remote viewing, this is a must read. I particularly like the chapter on synchronicity. It is dead on.

This tape was amazing. Marci has a very relaxing voice and she helped to guide me into the meditation. I really feel that she has an amazing gift and I'm glad I found this tape.

The is the only book to date brave enough to pull together the evidence for the use of hypnosis in the ancient world.
It has its flaws but there is nothing else out there on this topic, hence 5*****
