Animals have always played an important part in my life and I now have a service dog that's job is to alert me to coming seizures. So this book is not surprising to me but just the same amazing!! The book is loaded with true stories of animals exhibiting powers that have saved lives and animals that have done some really unbelievable things. One of my favorite stories is of a lady who was shipwrecked alone and treading water in the open sea. Along comes a Giant Sea Turtle who swam underneath her tiring body keeping her a float until she was rescued. A smaller turtle swam along side her and every time she dozed off possibly falling asleep it would nip at her to keep her awake and preventing her from drowning. This book has a variety of stories about unbelievable pets doing truly amazing things. Like the Persian cat that travelled over 1,500 miles to find her owners. How about Redsy a beautiful Red Setter predicts a fishing trip disaster. Or Ivy a Dalmatian and his dog freinds save a lost 2 year old boy by keeping him warm until rescuers arrived. This book may look small but it really is full of stories about amazing animals. Not just dogs and cats but birds, turtles, a pig, kangaroo, horse, parrot, seagull and dolphins all are in this book with a fascinating true story!! Guaranteed to lift your heart, send a chill down your back, put a smile on your face and just maybe a tear in your eye!

When I purchased this set, I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I am quite glad I purchased it anyway.

The set includes a dowsing rod, pendulem, zener cards, candle and an instruction booklet.

I was quite amazed at how quickly I got the pendulem to work, and using the zener cards with friends has been quite fun. In fact, my best friend & I were able to prove that we have a "special connection" through one of the exercises... When I would stare at a picture on the card and think real hard about it, she was able to guess correctly nearly 90% of the time. However, if I looked away from the card I was holding, not even knowing what the picture was of, her ability to guess correctly went down to a dismal 7%.

I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking to develop their psychic potential. The set is very well put together, and the merchandise is of a good quality.

This book is wonderful. It isn't a "how to " book, but exaplins many topics of the metaphysical that relate to intuition, precognition, telepathy and the like. It is a book packed with information. The author quotes Edgar Cayce many times in this book, and the wisdom of Casey for practical metaphysical knowledge is extremely valuable.
If you are a person who wants to know the origin of those "messages" that you get sometimes, buy this book. If you do not know much about the psychic world, what it can and cannot do, buy this book. If you want a general overview of the abilities we all have, and even a skeptical view of some instances, buy this book. This book is worth its' weight in gold to the beginning student of the metaphysical, and even to those who have some study already under their belts.
This is not a one sided book, it tells how certain "flashes" can be subconscious knowledge that you learned prior to the "flash". Douglas Richards wrote a balanced and informative book! I use this book in my Intro to Psychic Development class.
It is a definate read for those who want to know...just what is psychic ability and what can it do.

I bought this book as a gift for a friend. She's always felt that she can communicate with the spirits, but din't have the experience to do it at will. I saw this book and though of her. She seems to be very involved in it and she's told me that she loves the book. So as a gift for someone looking to develope their ablilities, this book was a winner.

I know this is probably not the sort of review people want to read, but there are no thers here and I think reviews encourage would be customers.

I found this in a bargain bin. It's not all that bad, but it's not as good as say, Hanz Holzer's books about ghosts. Still, if you're interested in the paranormal and supernatural, this book will be devoured quickly by you. I would recommend this book to all ghost story lovers and aficionados of hauntings, ESP, and any other spooky and occult subject matter.

In 1995, the CIA finally admitted what many had long suspected: For decades the US government had successfully exploited psychic abilities for intelligence purposes. While skeptics were confidently insisting that psychic abilities did not exist, highly classified programs were studying and using "psi" abilities. Having participated in this research, I can recommend Gruber's book as one of the clearest and most accurate reviews of this strange but true tale. In addition, his coverage of the contemporary world-wide status of psi research is exceptionally good. The prose is a bit awkward at times because the book was translated from German into English, but on the whole it is well written and an easy read. Several other books have been published that supposedly present the inside story of psi and the government. Most of those are outrageously distorted or just plain wrong. This book is different. I give it two thumbs up.

Sir William Fletcher Barrett (1844-1925) was an English physicist.

He discovered Stalloy, a silicon-iron alloy used in electrical engineering. He also did research work on the divining rod, and helped found the Society of Psychical Research. Barrett was Professor of Physics at Dublin University.

His work is a major contribution to the advance of paranormal studies and the occult world. I highly recommend reading him.

This book is the most interesting book on psychics I have enjoyed reading. It has given me so many facts about how the working world view and uses psychics, like your local police department and the F.B.I.. They sweep them under the carpet, rarely giving them the credit because it doesn't hold up in a court of law. This needs to be changed, the evidence to a murder of a child or loved one "found" and led to the killer!. Chapter one The sixth sense Investigatiors; psychic detection through history "the woman, the witch, the medicine man". How religions run our society, for th most part, get there way, in pretending psychics aren't responsible for the intuitive works they have done, eventhough many don't get paid for there efforts, like on page 52 Greta Alexander. quote from book "Police do not openly praise the useflness of a psychic on an investigation not lest because of the existing preconception that second sight is somehouw akin to witchcraft". ? She was accused of being occult. Yet her work was extrordinary. "A retired captian cheif of the homicide division of Washington, D.C. told the Winnipeg Sun that Gretta Alexander has got extraordinary psychic powers-and that is a fact." Even Debbie Reynold believe in Gretta's psychic sight. Then there was Vanga Dimitrova the blind prophetess in Bulgaria. She was investigated by numerrous scientists, adn every time she survived their scrutiny,leaving her examiners unable to explain her extrordinary powers of intuition. She was even tested by Dr. Georgi Lozannov, ehad of both the Institues of Suggestology in Sofia and the Inst. of Parapsychology in Petrich who concluded that Dimitrova's powers wer real, not faked.
There are endless stories to read in this book and I loved them all. I was happy that it took me a while to get through it!
