As a licensed Veterinary Technician I have watched clients knowing and unknowingly communicate with their animals. Joan has put into layman's terms the art of communication. She has shown with great clarity the humor, grace and strength of the human animal bond. It was a pleasure to read this book from start to finish. It is the perfect gift for any animal lover.

Ranquet's Communication With All Life is a modern day sequel to Alan Boone's Kinship With All Life, which was a flagship book on non-verbal communication. Ranquet is energetic, understands all life, and knows how to teach the process. It is an excellent choice for anyone who loves and/or works with animals, owns any kind of animal, bird or reptile and wants to understand them better.

This is a pleasant book outlining the author's development as an animal communicator. The first half of the book details the author's journey and is filled with summaries of some of her cases. The second half purports to be a training section and contains techniques designed to facilitate animal communication.

The author has an agreeable style and is definitely an animal lover. Her communication skills seem to be as attributable to her practical knowledge of animals, ie., experience training, feeding, etc, as to her intuition or psychic ability. The anecdotes were not terribly detailed and I was left wondering about some of the stories. Just what did happen to Pony Boy, her orphaned and angry colt?

I was more disappointed in the second half which was quite general. While a meditative state is generally conducive to intuitive experience more detail would have been appreciated. Her observations about animals mirroring the physical and mental state of their guardians was fascinating, but again, her story development and description were a bit spare.

All in all, this is fine as a first effort. If you enjoy reading books about people who love animals and work at understanding and appreciating them, this book will provide you with an enjoyable read. If you are serious about developing your animal communication skills try books by Marta Williams and Amelia Kinkade.

Touching book about conceiving and the messages and lessons our children-to-be have for each of us. A gem of a book filled with wonderful stories that make you realize there is so much more to being born and coming into the world. What a gift to read and share. Great insight into abortion, adoption, pregnancy and fertility issues.

I purchased this book because the name caught my eye. I have been trying to concieve for a few years and i am trying to figure out why i haven't been successful. Though i cannot say i am pregnant yet (i haven't had a chance yet since i just got the book a few weeks ago!), it is well worth reading. The author gives lot of examples of couples and their "babies" and different reasons the babies weren't coming. It is easy to read and i finished it in just a few days. Anyone who wonders why they were adopted or what happens when a miscarriage occurs should read this book.

This is an absolutely excellent book, it was referred to us after the loss of our twin boys at 23 weeks. Even my husband, the biggest skeptic in the world loves this book. I would have given it 5 stars, but I found the chants a bit airy fairy. We often feel the presence of our sons and feel that they will visit us again in the future when their time has come. There really is something in here for every parent, adoptive parents, parents who have lost a child, parents trying to concieve.

I have read several books on psychic development. I have to admit, this one got so heavy that I had to stop reading in the middle. If you like a lot of theory, then this book is for you. If you'd like a little more structure and practicality, I'd recommend You Are Psychic: The Art of Clairvoyant Reading & Healing or Extraordinary Psychic: Proven Techniques to Master Your Natural Psychic Abilities by Debra Katz. However, I suppose I can't offer a complete review since I didn't finish the book. All I can say is that this book was a bit cumbersome to read for me, but still interesting. Perhaps something to read slowly and ponder while you are working exercises with another more fast-paced book.

I have read many books in search of explanations... I would say that this is the most illustrative of all. Chapters and contents are very well structured in order to introduce you to the psychic being you really are.

I encourage those of you, who have been compiling information and have some scattered concepts about psychic development and awareness, to read this book. From my point of view this book have provide me a solid base for growing on psychic development.

The author, Mr. Henry Reed, mentions in the book that he has used some psychic techniques in order to improve the final result of the book when writting it. And after reading it, I really believe he did it so, because as said, this book is great.

This is a very solid read, expounding on the spiritual philosophies of the "sleeping prophet", Edgar Gayce, who may well have been one of the most gifted psychics of his era. The author, Dr. Henry Reed does a nice job of interlapping science and metaphysical properties to help guide us into fairly easy to understand excersizes to expand our psychic awareness and abilities, based on Cayce's teachings. I really enjoyed the descriptions and hypothesis of the soul and collective consciousness, and the section on hypnosis as an induction to opening ESP and intuitive awareness was quite fascinating. Would definitely recommend this one to all pursuing their psychic gifts.

This book and crystal pack is the absolute BEST that I've seen and worked with in the 5+ years that I've been avidly exploring crystals and crystal-healing (and I've done A LOT of exploring)!

The 12 crystals alone (included in the pack) are worth more than the cost of the entire pack and are a generous size.

The book includes descriptions of each crystal, as well as general and very specific placement instructions that are very easy-to-read and follow -- and covers so many needs I still cannot think of one for which it doesn't provide!

The book is enjoyable to read as well!

This pack has ALL one needs for any-and-all types of healing -- physical, psychological/mental, metaphysical, and environmental -- as well as the crystals and instructions for protection of all kinds...and more.

The potential this pack has for great goodness is limitless!!!

I only wish I'd ordered it sooner -- this is a definite MUST-have!!!!

So -- don't wait -- order yours NOW!!!!!!!

As an absolute green beginner in crystals, this book is full of easy to read information as well as being very well organized. Great reference for each crystal and its healing to the parts of the body and the chakra system. As a start it covers enough to keep you busy for quite a while in your learning path of crystals. The tumbled samples are very smooth and seemingly big enough.

This kit is perfect for anyone just starting out. I remember always being attracted by the crystals in those nature stores in the mall, and since I've been having a host of personel problems lately, I decided that I was going to give them a try. I expressed an interest in crystals to my friend who got this kit for me and I have been nothing but impressed by how well they actually work. The book itself is a must have for anyone who works with crystals and you can't beat the price.

Moving stories for Animal Lovers

Review Date: 2008-04-22
This lovely book by animal communicator Patty Summers contains moving stories from animals she met while developing her skills. As she learns to trust in her heart and intuition, she realizes that all beings, furred, feathered or scaled, all have something important to contribute. A gentle guide, she encourages the reader to acknowledge and celebrate all sentient beings.

While other books focus on technique (see anything by Marta Williams or Amelia Kincade), this one opens a wonderful world of possibility. If I have one quibble, it is that the messages from the animals at the end of each chapter sound alike...and an awful bit like AL Gore..but overall this is a heartwarming delight.

Never before has a set of affirmations coupled with beautiful artwork resonated with me so. The soothing affirmations serve to center you with gentle guidance. The stunning artwork invites you to use all of your senses in experiencing it. Together, they create gentle but powerful messages for the soul.

The theme of each card is printed on the front over what strikes me as a fresh, new "horizon," beginning with a circling spiral which encourages an outward awareness, and offering the chance to enrich and expand the scope of your own personal vista.

Step into this stunning collection and embrace the wisdom imparted. Physically experience the sensual imagery of the paintings . . . .
SEE the angelic light of self.
TOUCH the soft silk of rest.
SMELL the dewy forest of illumination.
TASTE the salty air of patience.
LISTEN to the roar of a seashell.

I prefer to randomly pick a card at the beginning of each week, then pay special attention to the message. Choose your card, step back, and look for the lesson - watch your opportunity to learn manifest! Most of all, remember your own divinity and trust in the grace available to you. You will find much here to help guide your path. Take advantage of it.

Beautiful and a great gift!

Not As Good As Her Self Care Cards
Helpful Votes: 5 out of 8 total.
Review Date: 2007-04-20
I ordered Cheryl's Grace Cards set pretty much on the basis of her Self-Care Cards set. I like the original set for my own use and have given them as gifts as well.

After visiting Cheryl's web site and clicking on her Touch of Grace feature a couple of times (which shows a card after one clicks on a particular star) I decided to order the Grace Cards set. When they arrived today I opened the box expecting quality comparable to the first set. But, found them much less satisying than the Self-Care set.

The images are not as appealing, or clear, the over all design of the cards not as high in quality, expressions on the subjects' faces not as pleasant.

One of the things that struck me throughout the deck was that the women are pretty much universally presented in a passive mode. This may have been purposeful, as in, representing the person using the cards as someone feeling 'stuck' and in need of waiting for 'grace' (whatever that actually is, which certainly wasn't clear to me from the cards themselves).

I did appreciate that the artists used models representing several ethnic groups.

The messages on the cards were not as satisfying or useful to me as on the first set either. They also presented contradictory messages. The Chance card has an image of a silouetted figure on a strangely shaped cliff. The message on the back reads, "Take the leap. Divine protection is always by our side." The Choice card's message is, "For every action there is a reaction. Choose wisely."

I suppose the deck is intended to be some sort of Tarot of action, representing a mixture of many religious and spiritual beliefs. The user picks a card which may then prompt some inner recognition of a personal need. For me, it was, however, a disappointment. I'm trying to decide whether to throw away all the cards I don't care for, keeping only the few I like, or give the whole boxful to someone who does like them--who, I don't know.

I find one card offensive above all the others. It's the Love card, with an image of a huge charred heart with what appears to be a consuming fire within, suspended above a craig, with a waterfall as a backdrop and beyond that a fiery sunset. I have no idea what it is supposed to represent or what it is intended to accomplish for the user. But, I find it really repellent, just want it to not be in the set.Self Care Cards (Large Card Decks)

I received this book in the post last week and I really couldn't put it down. Every chance I got I read a chapter or two. It's entertaining, honest and very informative. I was particularly interested in this one because there were so many parallels to my own life and journey. It was almost uncanny. I'm just doing the final edits to my own manuscript which I hope to get published next year. I think what appealed to me most was the fact that the author fought against her 'true calling', refusing to belive that she had a special gift. She also encourages her readers to believe in themselves. It's very empowering and shows a lot of insight. I would highly recommend it - it's well written.

Aaagh! I think I'm Psychic (And You Can Be Too), by Natasha J. Rosewood, is an intriguing book about and internationally renowned psychic Natasha rosewood, who is based in Vancouver Canada. It read like a biographical novel, that you can't put down.

Page after page, Natasha unravels 'coincidents' and changes that shaped her life and made her aware of her destiny; encouraging us, the reader, to do the same! Each chapter is punctuated by `metaphysical endnotes' that give further `teaching' on how, for example, to establish psychic boundaries, understand different levels of consciousness, death, and develop a new and different perspective on life. At times, Natasha's account of her life and the psychic forces that were at play is heartbreaking; yet in never fails to inspire.

Natasha believes she `magnetized' events to her to help her accept her `psychic awakening' as she spent many years reluctant to do so. Natasha's own life roller-coasted between happy memories and sad, painful ones, which she shares candidly and honestly. She writes: "In the beginning my search had been to understand my mother, but now it appears that she had motivated me to understand the Universe... It was my own very private, individual journey, and all I really wanted was to be master of my own life"

Natasha's writing style is also humerous (there were many incidents when I was in stiches-enjoying a good laugh) and succeeds in demystifying what a psychic is, how a psychic works, and how to find out if you are one. She shares with her reader how her own psychic abilities manifested themselves as she reflects on her life, how her various abilities grew and they unfolded; and that no matter how difficult and painful at times, life can be, it is those incidents that shape who we are and guides us towards fulfilling our lives.

In her book, Aaagh! I think I'm Psychic (and you can be too), Natasha also believes that we are all intuitive, perhaps even psychic, and that perhaps our fear of the unknown, instilled in us as a cellular memory, is what stops us from acknowledging these abilities. Natasha writes: "The most valuable education I absorbed that day, over and above the color of auras and their meanings, past and future lives and the difference between various levels of consciousness, was that we are all, if not psychic, inherently intuitive"

Natasha's love of travel lead her to an international adventure, and misadventure at times; she speaks six languages and has lived in various countries- adding an cosmopolitan drop to this psychic adventure! And along the way, her abilities unfolded in various too: she learnt palm reading, astrology, Psychometry, developed her telepathy, mediumship, chanelling, and interpreting her dreams.

And although Natasha was reluctant to accept this awakening to begin with, as her psychic abilities developed they helped her understand how we all `write our own movies', and how we `magnetize' events and people into our lives who would help us understand and develop our awareness.

Natasha's book, I Think I'm Psychic (And You Can Be Too, is entertaining as much as it is inspiring. She succeeds in engaging the reader by 'zooming in' on her life, and then 'zooming out' for a 'big-picture' perpective on the universal reality of the soul. I strongly recommend it.

I just got finished reading "Awakening the mystic gift".I could not put this book down and I definately did not want it to end.I really enjoyed reading Jane's book.I think it is very insightful, truthful and knowledgable.I have not only had the pleasure of reading jane's book but also being a student in some of her classes and her "psychic boot camp"! I can tell you first hand Jane is the real deal. She is also a warm, open and witty person that you enjoy being around. She has restored my faith and trust in God.She also gives out great (energetic) hugs that you don't forget.Do yourself a favor and buy this book.I absolutely recommend it. :)

This book is a must read. I wish I had this book 20 years ago when I was going through my initiation. You can use this book as your mentor, it is truthful and on the mark.
It explains everything. What is is like, what you go through, what to do and what to expect. The author even explains the different types of ESP and gives details of each type. If you even want to learn how to do this then this it the book for you.
Jane Doherty provides a free CD on meditation to help you get started. She also answers emails and gives readings. She is a very kind and warm hearted person.

in this book, Jane Doherty shares her life's journey, while explaining her many insights into the world of the paranormal. As an author, she has a way of drawing you in, so that you don't want to put the book down. Her explanation of how we all have experienced psychic moments, and how we can develop this ability more deeply, is the best I've ever read. Jane also talks about ways to find inner peace, and she is a spiritual person who believes psychic ability is a gift from God. I highly recommend this book, you will learn much on the subject.

As someone with an interest in healing through natural or spiritual means, I wasn't sure what to expect from Ted's book. What I found was a lot of corresponding and pertinent information that reinforce's what I have been previously told. This little book goes directly and simply to the energy centers and gives basic explanations as to the effects various colors have on the body. It's a good read for someone just beginning to delve into color energies, but also for those who are more enhanced. I have no trouble recommending it for your library.
