There are no words to describe the wonders, the wisdom, the love, the light, the knowledge and the multitude of extremely well organized channelings and teachings of higher dimensional Light Beings. This book has changed my life, my heart, my spirit, my soul, in fact there is no part of me untouched by the loving wisdom of this work. I've also read Amorah's first book: The Pleiadian Workbook: Awakening Your Divine Ka. It too is a priceless work with many very helpful tools for protecting oneself from deceptive, negatively oriented beings (most of whom appear to be reptilian, dinosauran, and Zeta gray); however, keep in mind that the appearance of a being bears little resemblence to it's inherent goodness or badness. Don't judge books by their covers or beings by their appearances. There are, in fact, a GREAT many Zeta's of the "Service-to-Others" spiritual orientation, versus their "Service-to-Self" cousins. Internal discernment is your only way to tell the difference and "Affinity" will most certainly help you to develop your powers of discernment, and a whole lot more! I Love You Amorah!

I was taking one of Amorah's classes when 'Affinity' came out. After reading the first few chapters I nominated this book for the 'phew'-award, meaning that after every chapter I leaned back in my pillows and could only sigh 'Phew!!!'.

"Affinity" contains many channelings from various lightbeings and Ascended Masters, and the information goes deep under your skin. This book has the potential to change your life and the lives of those around you immensely.

In The Alexandria Project, the second book in his series "The Engineering of Psi," Stephan Schwartz continues to advance the state of the art in remote viewing by applying it in the real world to archaeological digs. He describes how he assembled a team of people of various talents, including remote viewers and scientists, and applied their expertise in exploring the city of Alexandria in ancient Egypt. His techniques begin with map-based remote viewing, in which viewers specify locations on maps where they believe important archaeological artifacts may be found, and culminate with work on site in Egypt. Included are accounts such as the one where his remote viewers took him to a particular location in what appeared to be open desert, put stakes in the ground, and told him that if he would dig at those spots he would find the walls of an ancient building at a certain depth. Details included such things as tiles of a particular color. Digging revealed the walls of an ancient building at the specified locations and at the specified depth. Tiles were found of the specified color. In addition to the work on land, explorations were carried out under water by divers in the nearby harbor. Throughout the process, records were meticulously kept and notarized, and most of the work was captured on film and tape. Evidence like this runs throughout this well written book, as Schwartz and his team take remote viewing from the laboratory into the field with remarkable results. Original discoveries include the Eastern Harbor of Cleopatra's Palace, the Lighthouse of the Pharos, and others. Schwartz also embraced traditional technology by persuading Harold "Doc" Edgerton, a scientist/engineer/inventor and a pioneer in side scan sonar, to join the group for a few days in the harbor work. Combining the tools of remote viewing and the tools of traditional technology proved to be an extremely viable approach. One could say that these archaeological finds might have been made without the use of remote viewing. True enough. But the fact remains that many people have been looking for these places for many years without finding them; this team succeeded in comparatively a very short time. This book is for any reader with an interest in remote viewing or the psychic, whether a believer or a doubter, provided he can approach data that might not fit into his pre-existing world view with an open mind. If the reader also has an interest in archaeology--even better! This is a paradigm-shifting book describing a remarkable piece of work. I would suggest reading The Secret Vaults of Time (the fascinating first book in his "Engineering of Psi" series) before this one, although this is not absolutely necessary.

An astonishing book on archeology with the involvement of Psychics.You must read this book if you are a lover of archeology.I was born in Egypt, and lived in Alexandria, and indeed I went around and looked for these places.They have been discovered, and are now open to public viewing.
However, there is so much about Alexandria that has not been discovered, that writing one book about it is definetely not enough.
I have seen many of these sights, including the monastery in the desert.That was over 30 years ago, when the monk told us about a grave behind the altar.
Read it and enjoy it, you will never forget this book.I purchased it over 30 years ago, and until now it is puzzling me.
Were Lake Marriout is, used to be an old city.I did not have the chance to visit and see it.I will hopefully do so with some friends soon.

I have found this book to be very, very helpful in strengthening my psychic abilities. It was also comforting to see that many other women have the same experiences as myself (I'm not the only one!-:) In fact, after reading this book, I also had several other experiences (all positive), which I am pretty sure are a direct result of having read this powerful book. This book explains how much strength lies in our thoughts/words/desires. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in increasing their psychic potential.

This is a wonderful book for tapping into you hidden and/or repressed psychic ablilities. The author explains the philosophy of Chakras and Auras, and goes on to identifying the meanings of dreams and spirit guides. It is a very empowering book, written by a strong women!

I pick this book up at least 3-4 times per week. I am a fiction writer and it is filled with ideas and interesting descriptions of paranormal experiences and the like. He takes a scientific point of view without diminishing the mystical aspects of certain phenomenon experienced by humans. I was surprised to see things that in the past "gave me the creeps" explained as perfectly normal in other people. A really cool book! You can't go wrong!

This book is an excellent reference book that includes almost every variety of unusual and extraordinary human experience. Leonard George's writing is clear and down-to-Earth as he describes such esoteric topics as ESP, telekinesis, lucid dreaming, meditation, and mystical experiences. I love the way each entry contains both an explanation and at least one example, so it's easy to quickly comprehend what is being discussed. Some definitions go even farther, and cover the history and background of the phenomena around the world. This book is a delightful encyclopedia to either read sequentially or simply as the need arises to look something up.

This book is a breathtaking experience! It is well written and gives us account of the steps we can move up to our return of wholiness! A very grateful emotion for me and friends I have recommended it. But, as I live in Brazil and many people do not read English, I would like to know if there is the Portuguese translation...

I am a professional counselor and I facilitate animal/pet bereavement groups for adults and children who have lost their animal companion. I found this book and Penelope Smith's take on animals passing on to another plane most helpful in the use of my practice, particularly when it comes to regrets regarding their death. So many people are not aware that sometimes our animal companions are ready to pass on and do not want to remain in their current form any longer. Penelope also has a wonderful discussion on whether to eat meat, or any type of food for that matter, and how there is an agreement within nature regarding the food chain and the willingness of animal and plant life to give up their life for another to live. It is just a matter of nature, all we need to do is respect and honor each being on this planet and treat them with dignity. This is an excellent book that is still current even today. Penelope's love and compassion really shines through.

I read this book several years ago and loaned it to some friends and never got it back. I am glad that it is still in print. It is always good to keep by the bedside for a second or third read. It is a collection of twenty-four short anecdotal accounts of the spiritual awakenings, coincidences (maybe), revelations, and other amazing things that happened to people from all walks of life and from different religions. These people found a method or a way to worship God that proved to be very rewarding for them.

Yet there is an 'antidote' to the present world situation -- not through complex technology or political antics but through the process of human change. The 'antidote' referred to is the spiritual exercise of Subud, shared in this book through members' personal experiences of this process.

I loved every minute of this read. Ms. Mercado is very
adept at making us feel what she and her family felt.
I don't know if I believe in ghosts or not, but after
reading Grave's End, I have never been more unsure. The
author is honest and friendly and leaves the reader with
the feeling that what happened to them could happen to
anyone. I'd love to see this story on the big screen.
Scares me just to think of it. Good luck to the author
and her family.

It`s been a long time since I couldn`t find a book as great as this one It will keep your attention since the very begining.

I highly recommend this fascinating, well thought-out interpretation of the psychoneurological basis for mankind's propensity for "future-casting," that often maligned and deeply misunderstood function popularized as ESP.

I came across Loye's works back in the 80's working at a leading-edge spiritual bookstore in the midwest where I worked as clerk and resident psychic. I realize Dr. Loye changed some details from his first book as he discovered new data and updated findings. Even then I couldn't put this wonderfully informational and objective look at the mind/matter conundrum--and I loved this version even better than the previous edition.

You see, I too learned a lot since reading The Sphinx and the Rainbow, having read brilliantly insightful dissertations by fearless free- thinkers like Fred A. Wolf, Paul Pietsch, Karl Pribrim and Michael Talbot, among others. That's where I began to understand fully what David Loye talks about when he describes the holographic properties of the universe and its relationship to the brain/mind matrix.

As a professional psychic, teacher, investigator and writer for the past forty years, I heartily recommend this book to all who want to really learn something useful about how the brain's perceives and acts on in the feedback loop of data it recieves to predict the future. Be ready for a deep, profound read that will, no doubt, leave the deepest skeptics rubbing their devilish advocate horns.

An Arrow Through Chaos is really about prediction, but even if this is not your cup of tea, it is an excellent book on the brain and the workings of the mind. If you are interested in the mind in all its glory, this is an intriguing read. I was particularly impressed that this book draws from almost numerous relevant scientific and philosophical disciplines to provide a balanced view.

The explanation of the left, right, frontal brain interaction is fascinating and makes sense. And where does the mind actually reside? The idea of the holographic mind is wonderful too. This alone makes the book worth the cost. It is interesting how it seems that science is just now considering the same conclusions that the ancient spiritual and philosophical thinkers taught all those years ago.

As a lay person, this is not a particularly easy read at times; grasping scientific concepts is not always possible at first pass for me, however it is worth the effort, and the kind of book that gets you thinking, and keeps you thinking about the topics covered.

Then there were a few surprises too. Although I am fascinated by chaos theory (indeed it was this that attracted me in the first place), I had never seen this theory as the death-knell of predictability or free will. If anything, it was a light bulb moment for me - the missing piece of the puzzle. I saw it as a shining light actually proving the possibility of prediction. You just have to know (or perceive) enough of the possibilities involved. But then, as I say, I am no physicist.

There is one area I would have liked to see explored, since they seem to be related: the connection between prediction and manifestation.

All in all, highly recommended.

I found this book to be VERY detailed, which may be too much information for me right now as I am still learning to see auras - but I definately plan to keep it on my bookshelf for the day when I need to know more about what I am (hopefully) seeing. It explains about the most intricate little details of auras, along with some anticdotes. The best part for me at this stage of my development is that it explains some exercises to help to see auras, which I was afraid it wasn't going to do up until almost the end. Until that point I had resigned myself to the fact that it was not going to help me at all, and be merely an interesting book about someone elses experiences. All in all, this is a very informative book that seems to cover most topics, and I'm glad I bought it.

Auras is a great book! The author can read auras and gives examples of how he does this and how you can do it too. He has a question and answer section and teaches you how to heal and balance yourself by concentrating on your chakras and aura colors. The book explains each aura layer in depth and has an excellent color analysis section. It has answered all of my questions on auras and taught me more than I could have ever imagined. I already knew how to read auras but didn't know how to interpret what I was seeing. The author has taught me how to do this in a pleasant-straight to the point-way. The book also includes a brief history of auras and the people who have contributed to our knowledge of auras. I found this book very hard to put down and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn as much as they can about the auric field.

When I first started reading "Awakening Consciousness" I had a very different perspective on life. Reading this inspirational guide can actually cleanse out a lot of the bad thoughts you may be having in your life. The exercises and meditations that the author outlines in the book can have an almost purifying effect on your soul, filtering out feelings of hurt or discomfort.

The exercises in particular spiritually "work" all of your "chakras." Chakras are the spinning centers of energy at the bottom of your spine, and end at the top of your head. Your body feels lighter and more at peace after doing them. Several of the chapters include game-like activities which are very enjoyable and interesting to do.

I would definitely rate the book a 5 out of 5. This book sparked something inside of me that I had never felt before. The exercises in the book can wash out feelings of uneasiness, worry or tension, and they can be done anytime you feel upset.

The book was very engaging right from the beginning. It has some unique concepts that other books do not discuss. It gives some practical ways to guide the reader through spiritual movement.

If readers come from traditional Christian, Jewish, or Muslim backgrounds, they may not be as open to receiving the information outlined by the author. The book focuses on teaching how to connect with your inner being and/or consciousness, and generally leaves out techniques found in the Bible and other religious works.

I was extremely eager to read the book the moment after I received it. The book just looked like it had some secret waiting inside for me to discover. I would recommend "Awakening Consciousness: A Girl's Guide!" by Robin Marvel to anyone looking to explore new ideas about their spirituality.

As a kid, I remember being told in no uncertain terms that I needed to curb my imagination. Like any child, I had questions that no one seemed to be able to answer. All I learned was that adults tended to be afraid to even acknowledge things like auras and angels. Unfortunately, over time, I learned that it was better to keep these things to myself.

When I became a Mom, I began to see things from a different perspective. However, instead of brushing off my children's questions, I encouraged them to explore the mysteries of life and their own personal power. I think more and more, parents are recognizing how important it is for children to love and understand themselves.

Awakening Consciousness is a workbook meant to help guide children on their path to self awareness. The topics are quite varied with everything from instructions on how to see auras and do active chakracize exercises through fun aromatherapy crafts and reading tarot cards to using affirmations and choosing to use positive energy in daily life. The author also includes plenty of places for children to draw or write about their experiences or record their goals.
