As a cat person who enjoyed Sonja's book "What the Animals Tell Me", I was looking forward to reading this book. I was not disappointed.
In this book, Sonja gives more details about how to communicate with animals and a lot of practical cat care advice. She fills in the gaps left in her life story by the previous book. There are, of course, stories about the cats Sonja has worked with. My favorite is the story of Rosie, a hungry, frightened, pregnant kitty rescued by Sonja's husband, Fitz, who is evidently as much of an animal over as she is. This book would be most appreciated by cat lovers who are open to the possibilities of interspecies communication.

This is another great book from Sonya! It has helped me understand the animal world much better. Thanks to her book I am now able to better understand my cats and the animals around me. I help my family and friends with their animal problems now. I am very thankful to Sonya for helping me to better understand the world from an animal's point-of-view. I have no doubt that people can communicate with animals telepathically. If you are truly open to the idea, want to communicate with your pets, and have a true love for animals, then you can develop your ability to communicate with animals. Sonya tells in her book about the many animals she has encountered over the years; by telling people of these stories she has opened up the reader to what animals are like and how they perceive us. This book is truly a must for pet owners in order to better understand their animal companions. She tells ways to effectively get through problems that a person might be having with his/her pet and then gives helpful tips to help remedy the situation. The stories she tells apply to every pet owner. In the book, she has covered almost every animal you could possibly have. I recommend this book to anyone who has pets or works with animals. I give it five stars! Sonya truly is a gift from God!

I really enjoyed this book, it make you understand more how cats think. It a great book for all cats lover.

This is the best book I've ever read on divination. Morwyn surveys 400 psychics and finds out from the oracle's mouth all about how it's done. There are sections at the end of each chapter on how to hone your own psychic vision. The author gives information on what to look for in a psychic reader if you choose not to practice yourself. I found the information on seances absolutely fascinating, and loved the "Roman Omens" part. This book is a highly entertaining read, but also has a serious power and purpose to it. Morwyn comes through again!

I read this book thinking it would have practical information and techniques to develop psychic ability, but such info is scant. Instead, the majority of the book deals with interviews and answers to questionaires filled out by psychics, explaining the art and their own personal involvement. The section on the history of psychics, the spiritualist movement, and the paranormal in the 20th century is likely the most interesting part of the book. It describes a wide variety of authors, works, and people instrumental to the movement and resurgence of spiritualism. The rest of the book describes in detail the responses she got to the questionairre. This is very interesting, especially if you have always wondered how they started, what exactly they do, their religious beliefs, feelings about commercialism, etc. After one reading however, it's probably something you won't feel inclined to reading again. This is not to say, however, that there are not any techniques given; they just have little organization and seem to get lost between the personal accounts. Psychometry, crystalomancy, and palm reading are among the methods covered, unfortunately none of them are mentioned in any great detail or length. "Complete" is not what I would call this book.

The Appendices are the most organized section in this book, and perhaps the most useful. Appendix A gives the complete survey results, including statistical information, personal involvement, clients, and general questions about the field. Appendix B gives a very comprehensive glossary, Appendix C lists many types of divination, and Appendix D details palmistry. Appendix E lists noteworthy psychics and channelers, including Silver RavenWolf and Richard Webster.

This is an excellent treatment of the subject, providing something for everyone interested in (or merely curious about) the many possibilities of divination. It provides background information which allows a beginner to explore the topic with the confidence born of a solid basic knowledge of what has gone before and where one fits into the stream of individuals who have developed the field through the ages. It always helps the novice to be reminded that he or she is not the first to wonder about these abilities. The glossary of "Essential Terminology" itself will be a superb source for those wishing to begin to understand the field. The results of a survey of a large number of practicing psychics and channelers provide a statistical profile of their backgrounds along with an examination of their techniques as they see them. Finally, their advice to others interested in the field is included. All this material is supported with quotations from the respondents. This book should surely make in to the libraries of those who are more advanced in the arts of divination due to its mass of sell-organized information.

This book is a marvelous tool for crystal working. Doesn't just give you a list of the stones and what they are good for (like almost every stone book out there) but teaches you about stone properties through color, among many other things. It teaches you how to work with your crystals, cleansing, meditating, programming, divining, use in jewelry, choosing and much more. Excellent tool, highly recommend.

This book is full of exercises that help one to understand the mysteries of the crystalline world. Through study of each of the exercises contained herein, one gains proficiency in grounding, centring, energy work, dreamwork, healing, transmitting energy, and all of the crystal basics as well. This book also includes information about crystal tools and jewelry, in addition to displaying many illustrations and photographs to accompany each chapter.

Silbey is very good at what she does, and this is one of the few books to really give you a hands-on approach to co-creating on the path to mastery with the quartz crystal.

It's so much more than just a crystal handbook. Very interesting and discusses many different aspects involved in healing.

This book cover much more than just stones and their propeties. In it you will learn how to work with them in various ways. It is a course book in many ways for she takes you thru lessons from one chapter to the next. This is not a new book but it is one of the best.

I got this book years ago and lost it. I was lucky enough to find it at a local library book sale. I am a Traditional Reiki master and a member of the Rosicrucian Order (AMORC) I can tell you that the secrets in this book are real. They do work. They have changed my life. ALL of them are provable experiments that work in amazing ways. All of the other things I have learned in the "secret organizations" verify and back up his writings. I would just like to know what Mr St. Clair is doing in this day and age.

I purchased a paperback copy of this book in 1990, and I have owned it & Loaned it, ever-since. I just wrote a review for a Sylvia Browne book, mentioning how Valuable David St. Clair's book truly is ! However....now, I see it is "out of print." How very Sad.

I learned to Astral Travel, by reading this book, before joining an organization with very expensive books and tests and fancy certificates..... The only thing about the teachings of the org. that was more explanatory of "Astral Travel," was the fact that it alos taught the Mechanics of it all (Physics). However, you can get that information, easily, from Deepak Chopra's "Journey to The Boundless" and his other works. So, SAVE Yourself some Money and buy David St. Clair's Lessons in Easy ESP and some of Deepak's Tape-sets.

You will save Tons of money and have Wonderful Results. Organizations will try to inform you that you must do all this in a very complicated manner, with a lot of superfluous rigamarole....but, let's face Reality : You do this, Every Night, when you go to sleep! & Org.s want your hard-earned Cash.

If you own this book, you will value it, treasure it & loan it to all your friends in the field of interest. In fact, my copy is on-loan, right now!

I just cannot comprehend WHY this book is "out of print!!!" As many others have said, THIS book WORKS !

I saw this book in a bookstore in Atlanta, Ga over 17 years ago in it's first edition. While I had not been impressed with other "How to 'do' psychic stuff" books, and was also under considerable parental pressure not to acquire more (being a young and "impressionable" teen at the time), a cursory read of the text showed what appeared to be quite simple instructions and a fascinating breadth of supposed psychic abilities covered. So, impressed, I snuck up to the counter when my Mom wasnt looking and bought it.

As other reviewers have noted, the most amazing fact about this book is that you start seeing results from the moment you put its techniques into practice. You will have some degree of success with everything mentioned in the book, from seeing auras to table tipping. There will be points during practice of the excercises when you make a breakthrough, and your hair will literally stand on end.

As one of the most easily accessible texts on psychic abilities I have ever encountered, it is indeed a shame that this text has gone out of print. Having said this, a more widespread reading of the text and practice of the excercises would no doubt make many of the "extraordinary" abilities listed in the book become downright commonplace. The author, and the book, are really that good!

The book opens with a overview of color. This may seem odd to most but the use of color for changing mood and perception have been proven methods in mind altering. Be aware of how the people you care about change. This is not such a bad thing if you understand the reason behind what they seem mad at. In short the first chapter covers the colors in our minds. The second chapter opens with meditation and achieving the goals you set by programing yourself to respond better to your commands. You begin to take control of your body through thought. You feel your own body as if it were an actual part of you. The experience is one that must be had. You begin to see life through a different window. Your outlook on life becomes clear and your goals become more focused. Believe me this book will help you become more of what you already are. Tap into yourself and see what it holds for you.

i learned so much from this book. It took me a few goes, but i have finally got it i think! i still have trouble believing that it ISN'T me... but my friends all appreciate it. everyone should at least give it a go.

This book is an awesome introduction to the subject. Automatic writing is the art of "contacting other intelligences through the use of a pen and paper while in an altered state of consciousness." This book answers many commonly asked questions about this divinatory art, while offering many different techniques to make it work for you. McCoy explains the power of the planets, planetary hours, and colours in the zodiac in her chapter on automatic writing and astrology.

In the next chapter, one of the most important in the book, the author explains proper methods of breathing, meditation,and the chakras. The next section deals with actually doing automatic writing. McCoy describes many different methods of attempting this art, and offers tips for the event that you don't succeed. Finally, she offers some basic interpretations of some common symbols used in automatic writing. A glossary rounds out the book.

All in all, this is a great introduction to a subject often referred to but rarely described. If you are interested in this easy yet accurate form of divination and communication, be sure to get this book as a starting point.

I bought this book thinking it would be a psychic awareness guide. And it is but not in the way I expected. They are also excellent in the way they(the "games") open your mind leading you into amazing journeys within and without yourself. As an avid reader, I found Mr. Bluestone's to be the best and easiest guide for enhancing your own individual psychic awareness. This is one of a few books that I read twice, highlighted passages, and wrote myself an outline on each chapter noting which "games" worked best for me. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has always wanted to dabble in the art of divination but had no idea of where to start. Mr. Bluestone's book will definitely help you find your own psychic abilities and show you how and where to begin your journey.

This is a well written, highly readable, informative, scholarly, loving and fun book and it's not often I can say all those things about the same book. Sprinkled with lovely, thought-provoking quotations and brimming with informative insights into the working of intuition this delightful book offers dozens of intuition-expanding exercises or games that can be used alone or with others for fun and development. Dr. Bluestone is that rare psychic who comes across as entirely genuine, thoughtful and grounded in reality. He shows us with practical examples how completely natural our own 6th sense is and how to hone it to gain greater appreciation of the world around us. I recommend this book to young people and adults. It encourages us to explore our selves and our world, both seen and unseen, more fully and makes the process very enjoyable.

I picked up this book as a skeptic and wound up finishing it far more open to the ideas that Dr. Bluestone writes about. The book is full of eye-opening games and exercises, and uses humor and true-life anecdotes to illustrate complex ideas and concepts. "How to Read Signs..." isn't hocus-pocus Madame-X magick stuff, as many books claiming to cover similar ground wind up being. It's a truly educated examination of the subject, grounded in real-world examples and thought-provoking stories. I've never read a book quite like it, and doubt that any of comparable quality exist on this subject.

If you're even remotely interested in finding your own inner psychic, or if you're a skeptic (as I was), pick up this book. I am looking forward to other books by Dr. Bluestone (including a forthcoming book on dreams).
