Passing the 70-291 examination by itself will make you a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). It also counts as one third of the requirements for Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and one sixth of the way to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

This book covers the 70-291 test from beginning to end. It starts with the basics of TCP/IP and goes on to the installation, supporting and troubleshooting the various networking components and services included with Windows Server 2003. It covers the other services integrated into Windows Server 2003 that will be on the test such as DHCP, DNA, Active Directory and all the rest.

The structure of the book is organized by the exam objectives. Within this structure is the information needed to pass the test along with alerts pointing out critical points, listing the key terms, pointing out problems, and exercises. There are some books that are oriented purely to getting you to pass the examination. There are other books that provide you with the real knowledge that you need to make a system perform the way it should in a real environment with no consideration being given to whatever the exam might ask. This book is somewhat in the middle, it has practice exams and things like that, but it also gives you the basic information you need with more depth and background than you get in an Exam Cram type of book.

This book is aimed at advanced end user, technicians, system administrators, and systems engineers. It's concern is to help you meet your certification goals by providing you with all the information you need. That includes a sample exam, and an invitation to do some on line testing as well.

There is another book 'MCSE 70-293 Exam Cram' - note Exam Cram instead of Exam Prep. It covers the same material, but in a shorter form. If I were serious about passing the test, I'd buy both books (they're cheap enough). Just the fact that two writers use different words to say the same things sometimes makes a point better understood.

The great thing about music is that it can surprise people and help people through crisis.

Pulling together famous researchers, etc Juslin and Sloboda do an amzing job of pulling together resources from various social sciences to help understand the interconnection between emotion and music. I haven't plowed through it fully yet but every day there's a new insight I learn or even a twist on how we understand the mind's analysis of music-even with all the background i have.
I surely suggest reading this if you want a real skin and bones understanding and not just fluffy narrative.

The book evidences the spiritual workings in lifes challenges and complexities that enable this author to touch, to empathise, to lessen pain, comfort families, bring joy, and to set to music a legacy for those walking through the fire. Anybody who is involoved with palliative care should read this book. I'm a music therapy intern student working with cancer patients and this book gave me good insights and new perspectives on practicing music therapy with people who are in palliative care. This book illustrates pracitce of music therapy in Europe and Australia but practiced models are very similar to ones in U.S. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the power of music in helping with people who are dying.

I am a Psychology student, studying sound & music therapy. My husband has a traumatic brain injury, and I found this book very informative. I was looking for a book with music suggests and exercises and this book was it. Another book I suggest that has music suggestions and is interesting is Tao of Music.

This book has been the perfect resource for me as I begin my work with children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. It has provoked creative thought and helped shape my approach to treating these children, especially in regards to initial contact with them. I highly recommend this book to any music therapists, not just those who work with individuals diagnosed with autism.

This book explores the relationship between music, consciousness and the physical world. The author makes an interesting argument that objects in the physical world generally form into harmonious relationships, and he cites the movements of the planets, oxygen atoms in H20 and so forth as examples. This is well written and argued, not a purely metaphysical line.

Having described the harmony of the physical world at atomic and astronomical levels, he goes on to consider Nada Brahma, an Indian Yoga technique of 'listening to the internal sound current'. The technique consists essentially of blocking ones ears and listening to the 'sound currents' which do actually come when one performs the technique (I've tried it). By meditating on these sound currents, one is taken into deeper levels of concentration. This 'inner music' is related to the concept of the music of the spheres, and this notion is investigated historically.

Overall, the book is an excellent read, and I just regret I lent my copy to someone and never got it back. Maybe I'll have to get the next edition from Amazon.com, as it seems to be on their website. If you're a musician and want something spiritual, this meditation might be for you!
