This is probably my favorite book in the whole series. Wonder a thoroughbred filly, is ruined during training but Ashleigh Griffen, a 13-year old girl, Charlie, a retired trainer and Jilly, a young jockey believe she still has potential. They work hard with her and the ending is so wonderful and relieving.

Just like the first

Just like the first book in the series, this book has be glued to it. Once again, this book is great for any young reader who's a horse fanatic. You really get a better look at the bond between wonder and ashleigh.

GREAT! :)

Ashleigh is worried about Wonder after failing to get trained by somebody other than Ashleigh. When Wonder's trainer gives up, Ashleigh tries to train Wonder and soon she succeeds. At first Ashleigh was worried because Wonder threw her. It was hard for her to believe that the horse she had raised would do such a thing. When Wonder proved she could be a racehorse like her owner had hoped, he agreed to let Ashleigh train her thoroughly. Asheigh couldn't have been more happier till a jockey friend, Jilly, was chosen to race Wonder. The End.

Wonder and Ashleigh make the best team in the world. Wonder is such a great filly who loves to race and win. It waz really great that Ashleigh got to ride Wonder in th Breeders Cup Classic due to Jilly's injury but Wonder couldnt have done it without Ashligh. Wonder runs like she is flying with wings. I really hated when Jennings and Brad tried to ruin Wonders chances in the race, but luckily they never harmed another horse, well Jennings. I give this book 5 stars cauz this is the last book where Wonder is the star and she sure showed she was one in this book. Wonder races in the Kentucky Derby and wins but loses in the Preakness Stakes cauz she was bumped and won the Belmon Stakes and Breeders Cup Classic with Ashleigh in the saddle. If it wasnt for her being bumped, Wonder would have been a Tripple Crown winner. But she still made us all proud except for Brad. Im sure Ashliegh was overwelmed when Clay Townsend gave her half intrest in Wonder and her offsprings. If that was me getting half intrest in Wonder, I would be bouncing off the walls. If u want to read a book of a lost filly almost loosing her chances in being a champion and a girl's dreams over flow, read Wonders Victory and u will just get your story. If u want to talk Thoroughbred, u can reach me at Blades60@aol.com

This is by far, the best Thoroughbred book. I actully think the first four Thoroughbred books are better than the rest, because they include Wonder, my favorite horse charector. I have almost the whole series and never get tired of reading: A Horse Called Wonder, Wonder's Promise, Wonder's First Race, Wonder's Victory and the Ashleigh series which come before the Thoroughbred series and take place before Ashleigh (Wonder's groom and half owner) and her family are still living at Edgardale (where they lived before Townsend Acres.)Definatly read the series and especially this book. GO WONDER!

When Wonder's jockey is injured, who will ride Wonder? This book is filled with excitement and fun great for all horse-lovers.GO WONDER!

This book follows Ashleigh and Wonder as they make their way to the Breeder's Cup Classic. Beyond the fact that this world is well written and engrossing, probably the best part of this book is reading about Ashleigh and Mike's growing relationship. We finally see our self-consicous, horse crazy, fashion despising Ash fall for Mike. It's really great to see this side of Ash; the side that isn't always in control and doesn't always know what to do. I also found the "mystery" surrounding Wonder's freakish behavior before races to be really interesting. The conclusion of this book is just, well, wonderful...
This book is the perfect example of how you close a story and give the reader a sense of closure and satisfaction. It ends perfectly. After reading these great, old generation TB books, I'm even more saddened at the fact that the publisher, Harper Collins is planning on terminating the series abruptly after book #72. Please HELP SAVE THOROUGHBRED! Go to www.whitebrookfarm.com to find out more. I would hope that Harper will listen to the faithful readers of this series and give us the closure that we deserve. Don't end TB like this! We found out how it ended for Ash and Wonder, let us find out about Mel, Chris, Allie, and Sammy's twins too! Please SAVE TB!

I thank my lucky stars that I got a hand of this book, just before embarking on my first large scale BizTalk project. It is a veritable treasure chest of biztalk goodies! Exception handling, reliable messaging, operational best practices - this is just the tip of the iceberg.

While a lot of the information is available on the net, nowhere is it more clearly explained and categorized than in this book. Look no further!

Advice for the Architect

The authors know what an architect needs to consider when designing and implementing a BizTalk 2006 solution. They wrote a readable, compact book packed with their wisdom. Not surprisingly, it does not cover every (most?) BizTalk feature.

My only beef with the book is the code - all VB.NET. ;-)

Excellent reference

This book expands on the introduction to orchestrations and other key BizTalk components given in the Foundations book. Personally I think that this combined with the Foundations book sets you up nicely to start doing some serious BizTalk work.

Every so often a book comes along which transcends the technology that it is intended to explain. If you are a BizTalk novice, this seminal work is for you. With a self-deprecating style, the authors guide you through the wide and deep integration waters. They tell you just enough so that you can be proficient and yet feel comfortable that you have chosen the correct course. What you might not know is that the authors are building a framework for you to develop the best solutions going forward. For the expert, the authors have redefined what it means to orchestrate the integration space and to use a product to its maximum utility and purpose. I support both small and enterprise BizTalk customers every day. I can't recommend this book enough!

This Is Your Wake-Up Call is easy to read, comprehend, and articulate.
As I read, I became engrafted in the pages. Word for word, piece by piece, I devoured as much as could digest in one sitting quickly returning for more. This book is so filling!! You will definitely experience an awakening that takes you deeper and deeper beyond the pages. As you read,This Is You Wake-Up Call, you begin to enter into the lives of each individual's experience of dream manifestation. While in return your dreams are being shaken and stirred until they began to rumble and flow out of you, causing an awakening from the deep sleep that so many of us fall into from time to time. You can't help but be encouraged and empowered to go forth and occupy, subdue the land, and live Your Dreams,INDEED!

I applaud the efforts of Prophet Todd Hall to provide funding for students to attend or remain in college. I initially bought the book to support that effort. After sitting down and reading, studying, and reflecting on the book my walk has changed, it has grown, and I am awakening from my sleep. I thank God for a word like this. I was taken aback, at first, by the conversational tone and humorous style of writing. As I read the book, I could hear Dr. Hall's voice enter my home as if he were preaching a sermon right there. It met me right where I was at the time. The enthusiasm that he had in writing this book jumped off the page as I read.

It is time for many of us to wake up and embrace our destiny. Our vision has become skewed oftentimes by the annointing and vision of others. It is time for individuals to embrace, walk in, and live what dreams God has given them. I pray God will continue to use Dr. Hall as His messenger of truth, deliverance, and restoration.

This is Your Wake Up Call is a thought provking book that will wake your spirit from its sleep. Dr. Hall challeges you to remember the Dream in side each one of us. He gives practical tools for moving forward in destiny. He points out the fact that it is important for us to remember that "God is not obligated to function within the confines of man's ordinances". Once we truly get this revelation we are free to begin walking out our dreams. This book has truly been a blessing and I recommend that you share it with family and friends.

No More Bed Head

This Is Your Wake-Up Call: Live Your Dreams is of magnanimous import. I hope I have the proper words to really capture its quality. The book is an easy read, no long drawn-out rhetoric. At first, I was a little skeptical about the page length, which is under one-hundred pages, but as I started reading I began to realize that each and every page had tremendous value.

As I read, I began to realize that I had been sleeping on life, although I was mobile. I was accomplishing things, but yet sleep walking, instead of truly achieving the purposed value that my existence has to offer. This book helped me to see myself walking through daily life with a bed head. What is even more important is that it articulated and demonstrated how to get rid of the bed head (how to get rid of the spiritual and mental lethargy that so often weighs so heavily on us). Needless to say, no more bed head for me.

I highly recommend this book for its unending motivational integrity, as well as its ability to just cause others to go to another level.

This Is Your Wake Up Call: This is an eye opening and motivating book for the entire family. It is a call, a mandate, and a command on our lives to step into our purpose and walk out our destiny. After reading this book, you have neither an Excuse nor Reason to not become what all God called you to be in this earth realm. God created use for such a time as this and we as His people must be in proper positioning to receive what He has for us as well as for our families. Generations are connected and souls are on the line. I strongly recommend this book and not to be just a reader, but a doer. Sleep time is over; This Is Your Wake Up Call. Thanks to all of you who had a hand in this fantastic book.

Ahead of its time, this book predicted the shape of things to come. The regulatory framework for electronic commerce has largely been plotted along the lines presented in this book back in 1997. Some missing elements are likely to become reality soon, as a result of Web 2.0 technologies. Great buy.

The emergence of electronic procurement, the UN/CEFACT BCP model and XML based transactions, have brought open EDI back into the monitor of e-business developments.

The stakes are high for those legislations that have not sufficiently embodied electronic means of B2B transactions. To those that have, though the challenges are ahead of them, since there have been no functional examples of legally binding on line negotiation models as yet that could facilitate true automated B2B transactions over open networks.

This book presents a superb overview of a subject matter that is here to stay and reviews potential solutions.

As any undergraduate student probably knows, most college courses require a textbook; many of which are so painfully long and monotonous that it's really hard to stay focused on the material being read. 'Abnormal Psychology,' on the other hand, was a pleasure to read. Halgin and Whitbourne have presented this subject in a style that's informative, yet clear and concise, and above all...interesting. Included are case studies that accompany each chapter, providing helpful examples of the psychological disorders being addressed (e.g., personality disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, etc.), along with video clips in the cd-rom. In addition, the writing style itself makes for a smooth read. This book is definitely recommended for understanding abnormal psychology (and if you're a student I'd suggest the workbook too).

.
the 2003 edition got me started. the 2004 edition has sold me on this book being a yearly purchase from now until i'm blind.
.
this is a complete reference source. 463 pages of baseball bliss. commentary. subjective lists. team recaps. and more statistics than you can shake an aluminum bat at. full major league stats as well as minor league stats. stats for every player from every team. heaven.
.
i could gush.gush.gush, but it's really a waste of everyone's time. this is an outstanding book. you get raw stats but also enough quality writing that you will hang onto the book. in terms of value, i sincerely don't think there is another baseball book out there where you get so much for such a reasonable cost.
.
this is winwin no matter how you look at it.

The baseball junkie's atlas...

Baseball America set the gold standard years ago with their annual Directory, and have continued to improve upon a great product. If, like me, you are giddy when spring gets closer, at the thought of weekend roadtrips to baseball games and longer vacations where baseball is a component, this book is a must-have. My only complaint: Baseball America tries to wait until the last minute to publish, and that seems to have been getting later each year. I understand that some struggling minor-league teams at the lower levels may make last-minute decisions (e.g. the South Georgia Waves' move in 2002), but I didn't buy last year solely because the book wasn't available in a bookstore until early May. By that time, a significant part of the season is over! It is definitely a priceless addition to the baseball junkie's library, with schedules, team information - even directions to every stadium, major and minor-league. (Their related Almanac is also indispensable - stats on every player and team at every level, plus extras like draft summaries.)

I would recommend this book to *anyone* writing or revising a resume...if only it were in print! Ed Good is unfailingly easy to read, and he makes his points clearly and often humorously. This book covers topics from graphic layout to syntax to paper selection, all with the goal of helping the reader create a resume that will catch an employer's eye and secure the reader an interview. Personally, I found it an ego boost to look objectively at my past experiences and think about ways to "advertise" them. I ended up with a resume that immeasurably outshined the one I started with, but also with a much better sense of what specific strengths I could offer an employer. Regardless of how sure you already are that you know what you're doing, this book can surely teach you a few things about writing your resume.
