Flying Start with SAP R/3
Great layout and colour format. I feel this is the book you need from day one of working with SAP R/3 to impress your employer. The first half of the book is very easy to get through and is also easily understandable where ever you are in the organisation. However the majority of the second half of the book relies heavily on HR scenarios, which is not mentioned in the 'Editorial Review'. If you are within the HR activity this is excellent. Not to say the book falls down at this point. The scenarios are transferable but it might have been better to include examples from other areas such as Warehouse Management or to mention the HR perspective in the Editorial Review.

Fairly good introduction to SAP R/3
This book is a good introduction for new SAP R/3 Users. It covers SAPGUI, Session Manager and the different menus. It does not go into details. It is a good starting point for new R/3 users.

guide for device modelling
I found this book very purposeful towards explaining the physics behind DFB operation. It provides an interesting insight on the packaging and the current trends in DFB designs. However, it is little bit lacking when one looks for details concerning non-linear affects which are not directly an outcome of the DFB operation but may concern more with the externally applied parameters such as the type of signal for modulation, ambient temperature affects, impact of selection of bias point on prolonged performance etc. Another area that particularly concerns my interests is device modeling techniques. Not too many details are provided in explaining the 0, 1, 2 and 3-dimensional vies of the device and also in terms of parameter extraction methods and the current research going on in this area. Apart of these minor defficiencies, i think the book fares well towards providing the reader a good understanding of the DFB particularly with reference to the time domain model and the application of the coupled mode theory.

The book is very informative, but too costly!.
I have enjoyed reading this book by Athman Bouguettaya, et al. I strongly recommend this book for those who are interested in know about the future information systems and building one.

good introductory book
this book is a good starting point for a student who wants to know the basics of mobility. Besides it gives you a good introduction to the cdpd technology. However, this book only presents the basics of this subject. I've started reading this book knowing nothing about network mobility, and now I'm very interested in expanding my knowledge in this subject

A Theoretical Discusstion on Multi DB
Several authors contribute to the book. It addresses many problems in this area. Furthermore, rich annotations on bibliography are diversified over through the book. It's a valuable reference to academic researchers. On the other hand, this text dosen't do much in introducing the basic concepts. Therefore, if the readers lack some fundamental knowledge in this area, there will be some understanding problems. Moreover, The authors fail in connecting to the current technologies of the commercial products.

Critic
It would be much more useful if the examples were more analytical. Some "advanced" techniques (e.g. EHLLAPI , Message Object ,Master Detail Datawindows , Multi Table Updates , MDI Interface ,DynamicDatawindows etc.) should be covered in depth with "like a manual" examples.
