The Make And Do Bible: Reproducible Craft Ideas For Ages 6-12 retells 48 of the best known and most beloved biblical stories; accompanying each story is a simple craft project that encourages young people to express and develop their faith as they think about the Good News. For example, one story is a brief biblical parable about sowing God's Word as one would sow seed, and the activity involves making a mosaic with seeds. Simple, cartoony illustrations and photographs add a visual touch to the biblical stories and craft steps. An enjoyable "hands-on" resource for Sunday School or devotional activities at home.

The book was published in 1976 and the condition is perfect. It's exactly what I was looking for at a great price.

This is still one of my favorite craft books.Covers a wide variety of craft types and mediums (clay,costumes,sewing,nature crafts,paper,wood,etc.)and has photos at the end of each section to encourage you to be creative and not just follow instructions. Wonderful illustrations by many different illustrators. Nostalgic pictures of 70's children. The whole Childcraft series is a great resource to have around. A good basic craft book,much information,and an engaging layout.Empowering and inspiring for children.

A story book like this is a great way to introduce young readers to the Bible.

It was by pure happenstance that I managed to get a copy of this excellent work (and in hardcover, no less) by a very respected British aviation author. I have read and studied many books on executing better landings especially since I discovered mine were *this* close to being what can only be termed "slow crashes" None of the other books come within a stone's throw of the high standard this marvellous book sets. In very clear and very precise language, Bramson's teachings are immediately comprehensible and the reader feels like they can go right out and do a much better job of landing after reading only the first few chapters. As an added bonus, this book even covers landing the big boys: jets and why they have to be landed in a different manner from the general aviation aircraft most pilots will fly. A most excellent treatise and if you can get it, I highly recommend it.

Family Circle's "Make It Country" is a great idea book, as well as an instructional one. It has lots of color photos full of ideas and then instructions on how to get that look. I checked it out from the library and liked it well enough to buy it. I recommend it if you are trying to get a complete country look or just add some country touches.

Well-known jewelry designer and author Nana V. Mizushima has been hard at work on a new book title. It's called Make Your Own Rings and covers a variety of jewelry making techniques such as metal clay, resin, silver, and wire, all focusing on making rings.
Besides mixing up techniques, which you don't often see in many jewelry making books, another "out side of the box" idea implemented by the author is to offer the text in a few different ways. You can get a hardcopy of the entire text, either from Amazon.com or her web site, or you can purchase downloadable pdf instructions for individual projects. So for example, if you aren't interested in metal clay but like some of the wire ring projects in the book, you can just purchase the wire ring projects you want, one or all of them. I have to say that this is a pretty clever idea! For anybody interested in making metal handplanes, this book gives complete directions. Including, history, technique, materials, etc. Beautiful color photos of the authors handiwork too.
