A Billiard Atlas on Systems and Techniques, Volume III
Published in Paperback by Billiard Atlas (December, 1996)
Authors: Walt N. Harris and Walter Harris
Amazon base price: $28.50
Average review score:

congratulations
Words fail me to congratulate Harris for the splendid work he has done. The four books offer a large selection of secrets and techniques for studious billards players to explore. Putting all those systems and techniques into words, must have been pioneering !!! The greatest billiards players will nearly never reveal their secrets, unless one's willing to pay for expensive private lessons. People like Harris are very rare in the world of billiards

First three books are great
I bought because of one-pocket interest and find many useful ideas

Solve simple carom problems
As a tournament director, I have witnessed over 2000 pool and billiard tournaments and it is obvious that many VERY GOOD players cannot control the cue ball, or solve simple carom problems. There has never been anything written like these Billiard Atlas books...these systems and techniques open the door of possibilities for pool, or 3-cushion players, like never before.

many varieties!
Lots and lots of different styles and shapes of pillows. Instructions are pretty good with drawings of what the fabric needs to be cut like and step by step text to describe what to do. One thing I especially like is that for each pillow they indicate special techniques used and then tell you where to read specifically about those techniques.

Just What You're Looking For
This book is packed with ideas on how to design beautiful pillows and seat cushions. It shows a wide variety of fabrics (cotton, organza, silk, etc), and explains how to use each type to its greatest advantage. The directions for measuring, cutting and sewing are clear and concise. Many clever and fresh design ideas. Inspiring.

SIMPLY PILLOWS
HATS OFF TO AMAZON.COM ! ! I purchased Simply Pillows after finding it in a local bookstore and comparison shopping at Amazon.com. The savings through AMAZON.COM were terrific!

SIMPLY PILLOWS is a fantastic "users" book. I have been sewing for well over 30 years and found this book to have many great qualities. The graphic illustrations are easy to follow and the instructions are precise and concise -- not leaving anything out. The only DILEMMA? WHERE TO PUT ALL THE PILLOWS I HAVE MADE THIS PAST WEEK? and I'm still making them ! ! THANKS SO MUCH.

Developes a higher level of play
Thank you very much for putting them (books) together. There just doesn't seems to be a lot available in English to help the aspiring 3 cushion player to develop to a higher level of play. Through your efforts, the game is considerably strengthened.

Embraces the magnitude of billiard system knowledge
Each of these books are a work of art....they could not be more easy to understand....one of the best theory teachers who has ever passed through the billiard world.

The Best book on Cushions and Pillows
If you are serious about making cushions and pillows, this is the first book to buy. Readers Digest is famous for their excellent sewing books.

Simple, clear instructions with helpful color photo's~
Just received this book...couldn't be happier! I recently bought a new sewing machine to replace my old one. I really needed help getting back into the swing of things. After not sewing for many many years. I am kinda rusty and was interested in some help with sewing techniques and ideas for decorating. This book definitely fit the bill and then some. I am not a beginner but not a seamtress either. This book shows exactly how to make the projects with step-by-step instructions. Anybody with even a High School sewing class background should be able to use this book!

I love this book!
This book is great. Instructions are clear and there are many photographs of cushions on chairs and other furniture, helping you visualize. There are also pictures and diagrams to help you clearly understand sewing instructions.

The books covers over 15 different types of cushions - from the very basic to advanced. (Bow-tie, frilled, piped, envelop, mitred, eyelet, turkish corner to name some.) Some of the areas other than cushions include applique, patchwork, machine quilting, etc. I am sure there is something in here for everyone. In fact, my dilemma is choosing just one from all these projects to work on first. I think you will have the same problem.

I picked this book up in a bookstore and was so satisfied with it that I am willing to purchase other books in this series (sew in a weekend series) on-line without actually checking out their contents - something I never do in the case of craft books.

Excellent reference book, good reading
This is quite the best specialist dictionary for collectors and dealers, and for translators like myself, checking that the English expression means what we hope. But there is a danger. Look up one expression and you find yourself reading several other entries as well, just for the fun of it. A most entertaining and erudite work. I know of nothing else to match it.

Position Play in Three Cushion Billiards

Position play in 3 cushion billiards
An excellent book for the player who already knows the basics of the game. It enables him to perform excellent shots and make high runs. When you first look at the book you feel you already knew, the shots had to be played in the way shown. Unfortunately you realise that if you never had the chance to read this book you would not think about it during the game. Eddie Robin clearly demonstrates his skill not only as a player but also as a great instructor. Probably the most important book for anyone who takes three cushion billiards seriously
