A Simple Story of St John Vianney's Life.
This simple story of the life of St John Vianney, written by Milton Lomasek and illustrated by Johannes Troyer has the young Christian adults as its target. The simplicity of its form and the clarity of its contents would make it an excellent experience for the young people. The life of the cure of Ars is so often told that some of the details are almost lost in legend. In this book he emerges as a most personable and real person, like most of us. The simple language, the narrative style and the fast movement of events make it easily readble.

The clumsy looking farm boy, Jean, born during the French revolution in Dardilly, France opts to be a priest against all odds. But his struggle with the study of the Latin language raises further hurdles on his way. This lovable young man's journey of life to become the most lovable parish priest of France, 'cure of Ars' is an inspiring one. The style of the book makes it also interesting.

A Book to Play By
I was truly MISLED by the reviewer who wrote that this book is full of stories and jokes about the Cure. I went through it, page by page, and there are no statements (that I can find) by anyone in the group. There are, however, some great pictures... In reality, this is just a companion piece to the compilation album Standing on a Beach - The Singles. Each song has been rearranged for piano, guitar, and voice. Not at all what I expected... What this book needs is a review by someone who has purchased the book and has actually played these arrangements. Sadly, I can't provide that... For any serious/avid collector of all things "Cure," this would be a very interesting addition. Mostly, though, this should appeal to those who would like to gather their friends, grab the guitar, sit at the piano, and hold a big Cure-hits sing-along party.

Good for reference but not bible....
This book discusses each herb by what ailment it can help. From aches and pains, insomnia, and yeast infections; this book lists remedies to over 100 problems. Each herb summary is easy to read and lists the type, dosage, other healing effects, how long it takes etc. It even gives you recipes and information on making your own remedies. There is also a neat section on pet herbal remedies. The only thing that concerned me is that there wasn't alot mention of how the herbs might interact with other herbs or prescriptions you maybe taking. Myself taking an anti-depressant, I know that it is not reccommended taking St. John's Wort. All it says is to check with your doctor as you would any drug. Overall it was a good reference book, but as I have said before never get all your information from one book.

A thrill a minute as readers are taken one step beyond
Out of his love for a person and her child, a monster wearing the shape of a person learns what it means to be human and the sacrifices it entails. Colonel Neil Reynolds is a maverick within the military. He pays no heed to the chain of command as he is only interested in his research. He is on the verge of a major medical breakthrough, implanting microscopic robots within the human body, thereby, advancing surgical techniques and enlarging the brain's capacity to hold knowledge. To achieve his goal, he will do whatever it takes. He is currently making money by smuggling uranium from the old Soviet Union to Iran so that a nuclear bomb can be made. He is also experimenting on unwilling and unknowing patients in order to further his research, not caring if they die as a result of his actions.

Dr. Laura Antonelli knows nothing about the dark side of the man that she cares deeply for; all she sees is a shy, compassionate person, who has emotionally connected with her and her son. Out of his love for them, Neil plays God by bestowing upon mother and son a gift they knew nothing about and would have refused to accept if given a choice. When Laura begins to put the pieces of the enigma known as Neil Reynolds together, she realizes the danger he has placed the world in and it is up to her to stop him.

Howard Olgin, a medical doctor, takes readers to the edge of medical technology by postulating what humankind will make of the knowledge that is within its grasp. THE ETERNITY CURE is a suspense filled thriller that will mesmerize readers with its plausible non-stop action and scenario that serves as a warning of what could happen if the wrong moral road is taken.

A cure for founder!
This book is amazing, as an owner of a foundered horse, it summarized a way for me to CURE my horse of founder. Jaime Jackson is an experienced farrier who spent years studying wild horses, with an interest in what makes them more sound than our domestic horses. His keep-it-simple, logical approach to treating founder is refreshing. I read about his approach to "natural" horsekeeping, and adopted his practices to my best ability, and my horses are all happy, sound and founder-free. My 24 year old, previously foundered, Missouri Fox Trotter is now sound to ride without horseshoes! I would have never dreamed that this is possible. He has NEVER gone without shoes. Anyone who has tried "conventional" founder and navicular treatment for their horses should read this book. His "resources" section is empowering to the horse owner! Jaime Jackson and Dr. Strasser will eventually change the way many people keep horses. I know I will not need to ever nail on a horse shoe again after reading this book and researching Jaime Jackson's "resource section" in this book. Great work Mr. Jackson!

Shocking truths revealed of supressed cancer cures!
Barry Lynes has done it again. He wrote the life findings of Dr. Royal Rife, his cures for cancer and how it was suppressed by the AMA. Now Barry has given us "The Healing of Cancer", a fact filled book written in 1989 providing multiple examples of the intentional suppression of obvious cures for cancer by the sincere efforts of the medical proffession. This book, all 211 pages, provides both a view of the corrupt and greedy medical organizations: AMA, FDA, NCI and ACS and why the USA still has 1440+ people die each and every day! It also provides a glimpse at some of the attempts of those brave doctors working around the AMA and FDA to help others and their supppressed findings.
This is a scary book. You will appreciate the authors dedication and never look at giving money to these cancer organizations ever again. I am ordering several of these books to share with family members and friends.

Good Book
This is an excelling primer on Healthy Homes/Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. It is easy to read and covers most of the important stuff. John Bower has learned by doing.

He is one of the better authors covering home ventilation. On the down side, there are some vague referances not backed up with objective data.

All in all, well worth the money.

The Big Names
I read this book for a class on the history of medicine, the book provides a good overview of the history of western medicine. The author focuses primarily on the big names in the history of medicine such as Pasteur. The author also provides an interesting thesis about medicine itself and how we view medicine today and tomorrrow. Overall I think this is an excellent book. The only complaints i have would be that he does not mention x-rays and similar technology and how it changed medicine
