Why do you need this book?
As e-commerce is more and more integrated into our lives, many more people are using the internet to find and purchase books they need for many different reasons. How is a buyer to make decisions? To know how to choose which seller to use? The price of this book will be saved again and again as any buyer becomes more aware and more knowledgeable about buying books online. Whether you hope to provide books for your children, for a college class, or to find the best deals on the latest best sellers, you will become a more savvy buyer after reading this book. And remember, the more knowledgeable a buyer is, the more we sellers need to be knowledgeable. Knowledge benefits all of us.

Very useful and fun to read
This book is going to save me a lot of money on books for myself and for my son, his cousins, now and probably when it is time to start buying college books too. It's a very thorough manual with helpful glossaries, abbreviatin guides, and some very good advice for finding the online booksellers most likely to provide good customer service. It's also enjoyable to read and it is obvious that the author has a great sense of humor, loves books, and understands what drives people to buy them.

Buying Business Management Software

Wow....keeps you on your toes
As a reseller of Business Software, I was skeptical when a friend recommended this book. However, after I read and studied it, I realized that this is a valuable tool not only for a company beginning their software search, but a tool for resellers as well.

The most common reason for failure during the selection of new business software is not sharing with the reseller the current needs of your company and the small details that make a difference in how your company operates. These often-overlooked details can make the difference between failure and success in an installation.

I highly recommend this book not only for a company seeking new software, but also for the sales staff for a software reseller.

Give this book as a gift to a prospect. Go through the steps with them. Not only will you and the potential end user benefit, you can be assured that once the sale is made; you will have a complete and documented plan for the installation project.

Required Reading before Buying Business Software
Having spent many years buying, writing, installing, designing and consulting in the business management software world, I feel that this book should be required reading for any executive considering the purchase of software with which they intend to operate their business.

The purchase of software is one of the most important decisions a company can make. This process is usually not something a company does very often so typically this process can be very intimidating. The purchase of business software is much different and further reaching than buying a machine for the factory floor. This is why it is so important to know how "the game is played" before diving in headfirst.

In my over 20 years in the business, I have not seen anyone provide this type of information to companies outside the software industry. Not only is the purchasing process described in detail but tips on how to manage your company search process are provided as well. Sample forms for RFP's and their analysis are some of the samples provided. Interview questions for the vendors are also provided. A discussion on whether to keep and re-invest in the current system or to acquire a new system is included.

This book paints a very accurate picture as told by an industry insider and is well worth the read.

Beautiful.
Ignore the editorial review's opinion on the magic, as it's not at all out-of-place. In Japanese folklore, foxes are seen as tricksters, much like coyote or raven in Native American mythology. Mother fox, however, is not a malicious trickster; just a concerned mother that is sending her child into the human world for the first time. The translation, too, remains very Japanese, which is really only important to you if you're interested in Japanese literature.

As for the _story_... This book is sweet and heartwarming, and the illustrations bring out the beauty of winter like few others. It's short enough that attention won't wander, and has enough tension that small children will be drawn in to the story, but the ending will relieve everyone's fears. I know that if I were still small enough to want a story before bed, this would be one of my favorites.

BUYING MITTENS
A silent and cold night, I found a light. It was not so hot but heart warming. After reading it makes me happy like that. I 'm sure you cant't help loving human being more.

A PROFILE OF COURAGE
I know Geogie Anne Geyer personally. We met first in Poland in the 1980's when she covered my country after the military coup in 1981. I have red her autobiography several times. I translated it to Polish in jail, when I was a political prisoner of the communists. This woman is a unique example of an investigative journalist. If she had fought in the wars, she would become a war hero. But she covers all the wars and revolutions that broke out during her mature life. What I like about Georgie Anne ("GeeGee") is her sharp mind and toughness. She always gets to the heart of the matter. But (a unique feature) she's also a lovely woman who never looses her charm. I recommend her book to everyone who is conscious of the World we live in. DAVID MARIUS DASTYCH (60),a veteran international journalist, Warsaw, Poland. E-Mail me at: starm@poczta.onet.pl Date: August 12, 2001 on Sunday

An insightful and fantastic adventure.
Ms. Geyer reveals her life and work as a wonderful adventure. As one of the first women foreign correspondents, she was where the action was. She provides us not only with brilliant insight into the geo-political events of Vietnam, Central America, and the USSR, but makes each of her tours an adventure. Ms. Geyer is truly a gifted writer. You have so much fun reading about her adventures, you may not realize you are learning a lot about foreign politics at the same time. This is a great book.

The BEST book for the Home Buyer
Buying a house without reading this book first would be the biggest mistake that you will ever make. This book resides on the top shelf of my bookcase where it has remained for seven years. There are his & hers bookmarks and twenty plus folded corners in my copy. The wife let someone borrow it once, for ONE day (never again!). Now we are looking for a new house and this book is just as valuable today as it was many years ago.

Excellent reference for home buyers
Several years ago this was the best single book about home buying which I could find. It covers financing options, renting vs. buying, new homes vs. old, maintenance and replacement, the buying process, things to look for when inspecting property, remodeling, etc. Currently out-of-print, but still an excellent reference. Most of he material is still relevant to today's home buyers.

I must have been the idiot the book was written for
Having been in the antiques business for over twenty years -- buying and selling, owning my own antiques store -- I made the assumption that I know something about antiques. I purchased this book before Christmas and decided I was the idiot this book was written for. It is very well written, funny, insightful and clear. The sections were applicable to my needs, and to put it very simply, I have learned a great deal in a very short time. I will keep this book on hand for reference, it purports to be for idiots, but the benefit will be for all levels -- regardless of your expertise, you will find something that you did not know.

This is it.
Yes, this is just the book you are looking for. Whether an experienced antique enthusiast looking for a quick reference, or a novice looking for a jump start (like I am) - the Complete Idiot's Guide to Buying and Selling Antiques is informative and concise and better yet, a pleasure to read. How can a study guide be so much fun?! Helpful pictures and "AntiqClues" are found throughout.

Emyl Jenkins tells you what it is, how to find it and (the fun part) how to investigate your treasure before you take it home. The quick reference card is invaluable.

Completely up-to-date in order to prepare the reader for the 2003 car market, The Complete Internet Car Buying Guide is a solid, easy to follow, consumer friendly, step-by-step guide to the advantages of buying a car over the internet. Offering invaluable tips, tricks, and techniques to save money, time, and countless hassles, The Complete Internet Car Buying Guide is a superbly organized and presented resource filled cover to cover with website resources, useful caveats for navigating the net, advice on what to watch out for when buying a used car, "lemon" laws, automobile warranties, and much, much more. The Complete Internet Car Buying Guide is a very strongly recommended, money saving resource for anyone interested in a car and in taking advantage of the Internet for cost-effective price comparisons.

The Complete Internet Car Buying Guide
I bought the book, looking for new dealer tricks. What I found was a thorough process for REALLY understanding the car buying process and researching EVERYTHING before I walked out the door. The best part was actually following her recommendations and seeing that it really worked. Especially what to do and who to talk to at the dealership. No salesguy running back and forth to the manager! This book made me feel confident that I had choosen the right car for me and my family. I have bought 10+ cars in my life and I figure this book saved me more than a few hundred bucks, at least a week of wasted time! I even saved money on insurance! Next i am going back to check for "hidden warranties" on my other car. The best part was hearing friends tell horror stories about car shopping and finding the answers in the book. Do your friends a favor, give them the book and you won't have to go car shopping with them!

To really win in sales why not listen to those who have won
Tom and Sam are more than folks who write theory. They have lived what they are telling you at a levels that any sales professional set as their ultimate goal.

I have seen their strategy not only work, but have personally seen them execute it flawlessly. What was best about the experience for me was knowing that I could do it to. If you take this book to heart, you'll be unstoppable.

They take the sales thing one step further. They lead you into something even greater. How to have real, solid, and long lasting relationships in and beyond work. In life, this may matter much more than reaching quota. By the way, making quota is ok too!

Read this book and make it part of your approach to sales and just watch.

Nothing Better
While I was riding the "EL" to work I saw this book being read by a number of people over the last month, so I decided that there must be something to it. I recently moved to Chicago and am begining to look for a condo. I found that the authors writing style was not like any of those Dummies or Idiots Books prepared by the "HOW TO" writers but actually by a Chicago developer and broker who tells a good story. Mark hit me where I live, I enjoyed learning from his book because it is an easy read and covers the "never discussed" area's of what you really really need to consider before taking the plundge into home ownership. This man writes from years of practicle experience and it shows. I then realized that Mark had writen other books as well so I purchased those too. I think that after I buy my condo the next step will be investment property. Thanks Mark!!
