Reissue of the authors other book on OEX.
If you have a copy of "Taking Profit from the OEX" by Arthur Darack then just re-read it. This book, supposedly published in 1995, is just a re-hash of the previous book. Even the chapter headings have the same name, and the same content. If nothing has changed since the first one (198?) then why change the title. Stan Graham

Changed opinion of this publication
On reading further -- each chapter has been exended to include later trades (1990 - 93) and some strategic changes to the approaches are suggested. The book is interesting reading, some of the comments are good (amusing) but not always helpful in trading. The discussion of SP500 futures should deter many a would-be trader, I would think.

Great book!
After reading this book on trading the OEX, I had a better insight as to how this instrument works. Personally, I'm still considering whether or not I should start trading the OEX. This book helped me a lot in my decision. If you have any interest in OEX trading, you should start by readin this book.

I'd go for...
...Leslie Sbrocco's book "Wine for Women" instead. You could better relate to it.

Best Wine Book....for "Everyman"
Andrea Immer is just superb! This book is invaluable to the everyday wine drinker. It offers sound, believable adv ice and great information. Ms. Immer is pushing the Snobs like Bob Parker and Andy Blue into the sections of the wine world where they belong, that have so long intimidated "everyman" by making wine seem so mysterious and elitest. I heartily recommend this book and also Ms. Immer's "Great WInes Made Simple" and Great Tastes Made Simple" My wife also loves the writing style and excellent suggestions in the "Great" books. We look forward to reading more from this fine young author.

Business Leasing for Dummies
This book is more about the benefits and features of leasing. It does not give the reader any information on structuring a lease. The only benefit that I saw in reading this book was that it did inform me about different lease types.

Excellent if niche book
For anyone in the leasing business, this is a wonderful book to own. It is a complete training course in equipment leasing. The author has the only good explanation I could ever find of concepts such as leveraged leases. This book is a _must_ for anyone in the equipment leasing industry.

I wish that the author had worked out a few examples with the reader on cash flows and pricing of leases. There is some math that is not very clear to the first time reader. I also wish that there was some more information about vendor leasing and lease origination.

Regardless, this is one heck of a training course in leasing for under 20 dollars. If you are in any way involved with leasing, this is money well spent.

Dated, disappointing
I was disappointed. The material in this book is incomplete and dated. Don't bother.

Really Cool! No more car salesmen!
This book is really cool. It tells you how to search and compare cars online. Allows everyone who is interested in buying a new or used car a way to inform themselves on everything from the safety to the best prices. How to find car clubs, speciality items - everything except how to find a date. Really cool book!

Buying in: A Complete Guide to Acquiring a Business or Professional Practice

A Poor Guide
The author should concentrate less on the quantity of books he throws together and more on the quality of the material. As a business broker, I felt the book was full of unrelated tangents and only occasionally provided the reader with useful insight.

A great book for anyone thinking about buying a business.
This book delivers answers to questions you may not have even considered before buying a business. It is an easy to understand, step-by-step practical approach to a highly involved process, and could save one thousands of dollars and many long hours of disappointment. Tuller delivers the goods from the start of the buying process to the finish, giving practical examples all along the way. Highly recommended!

An Unexciting Potporri on Origins and Uses of Coffee
After reading books on this subject by Thorn and Kummer it was a real disappointment to me to find that this so-called "ultimate guide" fell far short. If your interest lies more in the way coffee is served and consumed here and in other countries this may hold your interest. (The author's dissertation on U.S.practices manages somehow, even there, to omit any references to the influence of the key people at Peets, Starbucks, and Allegro, for example.) It is far too shallow for my taste in the areas of coffee selection by type and location (pros and cons) and blending techniques.

An extraordinary book for the true coffee connoisseur!
After having read this book, I can now say that Diana Rosen is one of my favorite authors! Her COMPANION is an incredible guide to coffee around the world, as well as to enjoying it in your own home. As a coffee lover for many years -- I don't simply drink coffee, I *savor* it -- I was thrilled to see the research Ms. Rosen obviously put into this work. This study of "the magic bean" is one I'll keep. . .I consider it to be the definitive work, and it has a permanent place on (where else?) my coffee table.

A Primer for Non-bikers
This is a well written, general book about everything related to bicycles.
You will find it interesting if you know absolutely nothing about bikes.
Lots of side issue discussions on diet, racing, clothing, nice places to tour and other non-bike topics of interest to a bicycle user.
No specifics about bikes, general discussions of brakes, transmissions, etc.
Very little on maintenance.
The bicycle manufacturers sites will provide more technical information about bikes in general and their products in particular in the form of .pdf user manuals you can download, biking tips, and model specific equipment, including some specific care and maintenance data.
This book will help you decide if you really want to get into biking, and does a good job of just that.

For the person who in newly interested in bicycling
The Everything Bicycle Book is well written and contains lots of useful information on ALL aspects of cycling. Its a good starter book.

The avid cyclist or someone who has been riding and commuting for a while will probably already know most of the information in this book.

The person new to cycling or someone who wants to know more about the ins and outs and the proper ways to use a bicycle and get greater pleasure from it will find the book full of info.

How to Buy a House Without Qualifying

absolutely WORTHLESS, don't waste your money!!!
what a horror. this is yet another useless spiral bound book from what in my opinion is a scumbag scam artist. his book is nothing but a continous ad to get you to buy his other yet again worthless stuff. my god, his techniques are terrible, outdated, and he only preys on the hard working class. don't fall for his bull. don't tell me i didn't warn you. his advice is as Cheesey as the spiral binding he uses to bind his books. that should have been my first clue!!!

TRULY AMAZING!!
This incredible manual has taught me so much that I never knew before. If I hadn't of bought this manual before purchasing my home in Silicon Valley, CA, I don't know if I'd even of thought of buying my own home. This manual truly helped me learn the different ways of owning my own home, WITHOUT having to pay a downpayment or having to qualify for loans etc. This was a GREAT opportunity for me, and it wouldn't have been possible without the guided help of this easy to follow guide.

Thanks so much! ....

Not Much Learning Here!
If you operate on the premise of good business savvy and you maintain a semblance of common sense, this book is a waste of money. It's too basic and there are no revelations.

How To Sell Your Home Without A Broker
Without a doubt, I found it the very best, most comprehensive book on the market for homeowners looking to develop a plan of action for selling their property on their own. Different from most similar FSBO books because it contains dozens of very helpful worksheets to help the homeowner get through the process of selling on their own...

How to Turn Cars Into Cash
Published in Paperback by Spirit Dance Pub (15 February, 1993)
Author: Timothy Johnson
Amazon base price: $17.95
Used price: $99.95

Not much detail
This book only gives absolute basic information. Anyone with any experience at all will not need this book. If you are a beginer, the author doesn't explain how do the nessessary paperwork and how to take title of the cars. On pg. 95 the author states "At some point, you should consider obtaining a dealer license." What the author fails to mention is that it is ILLEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES to buy and sell more than 2 or 3 cars a year without a license.(check with your state for exact number) I have since become a dealer, but trust me, this book had nothing to do with that. If you are an absolute beginer, and know nothing about either buying a car or selling a car , then this book may help a little, it does give references to where you can buy a few price guides.

Excellent Information
When I ordered this book I was skeptical. I thought it was going to be another one of those "get rich" schemes. But as I read the book it became obvious that there are techniques and methods you can learn that will enable you to make good profits in the used car business. The writer doesn't say you'll get rich overnight. That's what I liked about the book. But he does explain how to make between $1,500 to $2,000 on every car you buy. It's good, practical advice. I'm currently in the process of obtaining my dealer's license so I can register at dealer auctions. For anyone interested in becoming a dealer or working at home part-time in the car business, you'll get all the information you need in this guide.
