I think this book deserves at least one review, so here I go...

When I purchased it, I hoped it would help me understand vast production and offering of quality wines in the world. Well, it did not. Without color pictures, maps and other fancy illustrations I was not as keen on proceeding. That maybe tells more about my reading habits then about the book. So I bought "The New Sotheby's Wine Encyclopedia instead" which is really inspiring and I am reading it enthusiastically and gaining knowledge. At this point I am founding Daniel Johnnes's book to be good resource to help me find wine values. With tasting notes on 200 wines, hot shot producers and honest suggestions, I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on "grand vin" and still can enjoy top quality.

I have a procurement and supply chain background and found this book to be quite interesting as it provides the technology and Internet face of the procurment and sourcing issues. The report covers a number of technology issues and appropriate eBusiness solutions for most types of procurement. The vendor index and their offerings at the end of the book was good to have. A good book to look into if you are getting into building or enhancing your procurement systems.

A very well informed book. I learned a lot. I see the tricks that dealers try to pull. This book covers everything from Leasing to Insurance Scams. It also tells you how to make the deal work. Highly recommend this book.

There are an awful lot of fantasy writers who would benefit in reading, if not this book, then one very like it. But that's not a recommendation.

I had the first edition, lost it, discovered the 2nd edition, was happy. Even if you're not a gem-shopper (I'm not), the book's worth it for the zillions of full-color photographs alone: you can *see* what all these gemstones look like.

Arem discusses carats vs. karats, gem-cutting, mining, trivia and lore on various gemstones...a lot. There are other books on the same subject, of course, but this one's a decent survey.

Every Muslim should own a copy of this book. My only complaint is that it lists items that are halaal and haraam but does not state which items can be made halaal.

I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN VOLUME 1 VERSES VOLUME 2 ?????????

Further proof of the value of editors. There's a good book here and I could find it just by rearranging paragraphs. Interesting stuff, but completely disorganized. Why would the historical background be in the penultimate chapter?

This book hits upon the major components of home inspection. The checklists throughout the book are a bit redundant (I found many duplicate checklist items). The book also goes in to some considerations for starting your own business in home inspection, which is helpful. I view this book as a good SUPPLEMENT rather than the "bible" of home inspection because I feel it is not exhaustive and technical enough in content. However, for the non-technically inclined homebuyer, the book will be a good tool to have under his/her belt.

This book contains the basic elements of the history, design, and decoration of homes. This book contains some interesting information; however, it not the most comprehensive.

This is an excellent book for first time home buyers. It covers everything you need to know, from selecting a home, financing and tax advantages to owning. It has sample contracts, goes over the closing process and amortization tables. I also reccomend, "106 Common Mistakes Homebuyers Make" which also covers similar topics. This book really focuses on financing options and has a detailed explanation of costs associated with closing. It also provides tips and techniques of how to negotiate. I liked the sample forms provided in the book. The forms are very accurate. This book helped familarize me with the process of buying a home. It also prepared me to know what to expect when seeking financing and typical costs at closing. The book is a very good value and the information provided was a great help.
