A Sobering Literary Experience
Pastor Buck's experiences as told in this book have truly opened my heart even more to Christ! The most prevalent message throughout is just how much Jesus loves us all. We don't have to be Ministers, TV Evangelists, or even the Pope to receive the love of Christ or his graces. It is ours for the asking, but we must ask! Having personally felt the presence of an Angel before, Pastor Buck's accounts of his visitations are clear and exciting. I kept on reading and reading, I could not put this book down. This book is about the two way street of love, faith, and commitment. Read it now and have it change your life forever!

Angry Wife
This little known book from Pearl S Buck is a gem. I liked the book better than "Good Earth".When ever you read Pearl Buck you expect a grim picture but this book is of different style. With due respect to Late Mrs Buck her books in China and Korea are full with details but lack cultural integrity but this is world apart. She is in her home grounds and she knows the life style as the palm of her hand. It is very inspiring for people who want to follow their heart and not get bogged down by the pressures and biasness of the society. Its for people who do not get carried away by dot.com stocks and have no regrets for it. There is a fantastic description of life in Southern ranches - their prejudices, vanities. It also shows the supreme sacrifice of some people for their belief in equality of human life and love for knowledge.

The definitive North Carolina angler's guide.
Buck Paysour has fished North Carolina's waters from more than fifty years and in Bass Fishing In North Carolina draws upon his considerable experience and expertise to share techniques and "insider" information on catching the elusive largemouth and smallmouth bass. In addition to his own techniques, Buck shares his interviews with many of the state's best bass fishermen and professional guides. Any dedicated angler seeking to fish the waters of North Carolina and wanting to know where the fish are to be found, where to put their boat, which lures produce the most successful results would do well to begin by a thorough reading of Buck Paysour's superb compendium of information and advice, Bass Fishing In North Carolina. Also highly recommended for the angler's bookshelf is Buck Paysour's earlier book, Fly Fishing In North Carolina.

Little-known facet of World War II history
This is a book about a little known or less remembered phase of World War II history as it relates to Minnesota. It suggets the success of the Geneva Convention regarding treatment of prisoners of war in the United States. In the simple presentation of factual information, the author allows us to feel something of the fears, the loneliness, and concerns of prisoners and their willingness to work rather than be idle. The concerns of citizens are also presented clearly concerning escapes, those of labor unions interested in protecting American labor, as well as the general concern about work necessary to pursue the war. It is a facet of the war that most histories neglect.

Great Book
This book is a must for any deer hunter. The primary focus is on tracking bucks, but this book would also do well for any hunter whether they are a stand, still hunter or a tracker. It is a great read and gives one practical advice on tracking down the buck of your dreams and bagging it. This books follows in the footsteps of the other quality Benoit books ( Big Bucks the Benoit Way and How to Bag The Biggest Buck of Your Life ). The Benoits also have videos out showing their technique, and these are also well worth your money.

What a gem!
This story, about the love of a woman for her dog and the true meaning of happiness, should not be missed! It tells the tale of a woman who trades her old dog, Buck, and continues to make better and better trades until she ends up with a mansion. What will her last and best trade be? The rhyming and brief text makes this book appropriate for children of all ages, but would be most meaningful for ages four through twelve. What a wonderful message it conveys!

A Humorous and Informative Book
This is a fantastic book! It is full of helpful information for the dedicated deer hunter, and it gives a true insight to deer hunting in south Georgia. Being a deer hunter myself for 45 years, this book made me relive many of my own hunting experiences. The author did not add or take away anything from the true-to-life hunting stories, making it some what humorous and very exciting. The section on hunting tips made me a beliver that the author knows his stuff and I can't wait to try some of the tips this deer season.

The best of the "Flynn" series
McDonald's hero "Flynn" is not as popular as his "Fletch" series, but "The Buck Passes Flynn" is the best of the series and every bit as good as a Fetch novel. The theme, that someone is making random $100,000 deposits on the doorsteps of every home in small communities around the country and creating havoc in the process, is quite fascinating (though admittedly dated, it would probably be about $250,000 today). It is a mystery worthy of the great Inspector Flynn, and is told in a humorous style for which McDonald is known. Overall, a great book for fans of detective fiction.
