Barrier-Breaking Resumes And Interviews
Here is the first paragraph of the Introduction verbatim: "Barrier-Breaking Resumes And Interviews is not an ordinary how-to-find-a-job book. This book is for those who have little or no work experience, have just been released from jail, or were formerly on public assistance." With 20 years of work experience, I found this book useless to me, but it may be good for you if you have very little or no work experience.

Book Does What It Says It Will
This book gives very basic and practical examples of how to write a resume if you have challenges or "barriers" such as no formal job experience, substance abuse or a criminal record in your past. I highly recommend it for welfare-to-work populations and prison-to-work populations, if these persons have little or no knowledge of how to market themselves on paper to get a job. The reading level and "white space" on the pages also makes it relevant for those with lower literacy skills. I found if very useful for the target audience the authors intended ("those who have little or no work experience, have just been released from prison, or were formerly on public assistance"). The book will not be useful to anyone who does not fit the target audience; it is much too basic and targeted to novice job seekers. But it is a breath of fresh air for those who need it and for the human service providers/educators who may be trying to help them get a resume ready for a job interview.

Book Review
Does not go into a lot of detail. Reads as if you already know what you are trying to accomplish.Would not recommend this book for the person with a young horse just starting out or if you are into Western Riding. I did get some pointers but not what I was looking for.

book Review
This is a great book for teaching and training younger horses. It gives step-by-step information, and what to do if something goes wrong. Must have for any breeder!

I wish I could give this more, but I can't
If I had only been able to drag myself to the very end... but I still would have given it only 2 stars. I read about halfway through and finally decided that this book must be in Greek.

The one story that did something for me and earns this book its two-star status was the second one about the blue glasses. A young woman had surgery on her eyes and when they took the bandages off they installed blue glasses in her eyes so as to adjust to light before putting the clear ones in. But something went wrong, either with the surgery or the glasses, because she sees everyone with an animal head that defines their character. She is very relieved when her clear glasses get put in to see that everyone has a normal person's head again... but I won't take away the surprise ending. Get this book for this story's sake and you won't be sorry. Get it for a whole volume of good short stories and you will be sorry. Which is too bad.

From back of book
Every Sunday afternoon James Fenton and his wife took their usual walk- the pattern never changed. Until , one Sunday, Fenton reached his breaking point and something suddenly clicked in his brain:
"Now at this minute," he thought, "one gesture of mine might change someone's future. Theft, fire, faces smashed...in murder."
So Fenton chose No. 8 Boulting Street as a starting point for the greatest adventure of his life. He rang the bell, a young woman answered, and Fenton had the impulse to say," I have come to strangle you." Instead he took off his hat and smiled. 'Do you rent rooms?" he asked.
James Fenton is just one of the men and women pushed to their breaking point in this masterpiece of the macabre.

Waste of my time
I ran into a copy of this book, and I can't tell why I bothered reading it. There is not a trace of arguments that can be used against evolution. People that embrace creationism should stop arguing against scientists and start by finding out if their theories even hold water! Evolution is not something that people are trying to fool you with, it's just the best explanation that we've found for the way the species behave.

A must have book
If you can find a copy of this book get it and add it to your personal library. It explains why there are times in the faith walk the path is not always clear-and yet that is still part of the walk!! You will begin to realize that what seems like a scary or challenging time in life can one of great growth potential. A wonderful book from a great mentor.

Breaking the Circle of Satanic Ritual Abuse
Published in Paperback by Compcare Pubns (April, 1992)

A Limited Viewpoint
I read this book some 5 years ago, and while it did provide some basic information, it also had a quite limited view of the phenomenon of satanism in general. The book's limitations stem from its Christian viewpoint and its inherent dualism, along with its emphasis on "opposing" the Satanism. Such a stance omits a considerably broader and more psychological approach, which explores Satanism as a reaction to extremely repressive and rigid version of Christianity, and the creation of deities as a projection of some human quality onto the divine. For therapists, in particular, it is important to ally with all the parts of the human, not just the "good" or benign parts, in order to facilitate the healing process. Such a viewpoint permits a therapist to "reframe" the "evil" or "Satanic" parts of the individual as contributing to the person's survival of an inescapable trauma. For therapists working with survivors of Satanic ritual abuse, Colin Ross's book is vastly superior.

Helpful understanding of the reality of this type of abuse
Good introduction of topic-recognizing and recovery from ritual abuse. Practical, helpful, needed encouragement for the hard work of recovery. Worth waiting for your order to arrive. David Brown, M. Ed in Counseling

Having never received it, it's hard to rate!
I never received this book, nor a few others
recently purchased and am getting disgusted.
Why is it when you first start shopping with
a company they care about you, then after you
order a few times they make you wait eons for
your order, which they'd have out in a day for
a new customer?

Excellent Resource!
This revelatory teaching on the subject of curses is much needed in the arsenal of the believer. When a person hears mention of the word "curse" one begins to envision witches, warlocks, and sorcerers. This is only one aspect of the origin of curses. In the realm of the spirit, curses are much more intricate. They are often the very fibers of the enemy's attack against the saints of God. Freedom and liberty will be yours as you read this book and obtain an understanding of identifying and breaking curses, not only in your life, but in the lives of others, in our ongoing good fight of faith.

This informative book gives insight and explains why many have not been able to get over the "hump" in life.

Let's Communicate -Breaking the Cycle of Non-Communication

Author: Dee Frances
Amazon base price: $24.95

poor quality
Purchasing this was a waste of money. The poor quality production duplicated approximately 30 pages of the book and the stream of consciousness writing is difficult to follow. This book has not even been edited and wasn't put through a spelling or grammar checker. Any possible gold nuggets of content are not worth the effort.

I liked the examples of more constructive conversations
Dee's book shows her love for mankind. She is very knowledgeable in many different ways to improve the quality of our conversations. We can talk to almost anyone and have our point better understood by using the skills Dee has outlined in this simple to understand book.

Breaking a Blissful Ignorance

Authors: Andrew Shea and Andrew Joseph Shea

List price: $12.95 (that's 20% off!)

Insight into the Author
Shea's sense of romance is interesting. The story line sometimes loses the essence of time. The dialogue lacks in many instances. However, Shea's writing carries a much larger meaning. His introduction points out that his initial writings helped him to cope with his the untimely suicide of his mother. Often insightful, the reader can easily tell which parts were written from Shea's heart.

His story is real. His feelings are real. His book is fiction. By carefully reading his dialogues, the reader can see into Shea himself, setting the storyline aside. Shea's message is clear. Depression is a disease, and those who have it need to seek help immediately. It's a worthy cause worthy of congratulations.

True to life
This book will most likely shock many people. It is a true story about real life happenings, no I was not there. I do howerever feel very honored to have met Pam. I have an autographed copy of this book & had the pleasure of watching her dear children while she was promoting her book. I encourge you to get a copy and see what you think? If you like fiction books and can't accept the truth, then read it anyway. It is a good book, try it. Also if you have ever experienced abuse or felt trapped in any way. I think this book can give you hope. Life is good, live it to the fullest each and ever day.
