Best HorrorSome good premisses but too many left undeveloped, flat, or seemingly unfinished. I may have been expecting soemthing more classically horrific. I did however, like The Colonization of edwin Beal and Cage 37. Their ideas seem better thought out, told, and made into a story.
The Horror Book of the CenturyIt sounds like a really interesting book. I have never read these stories before. Seems similar to Greatest Horror Stories of the 20th Century by Robert Bloch. Sounds very exciting. Can't wait to read it. These stories are truly original. I really like Robert Bloch

Wasted OpportunityThis book, written by someone who positions herself as an authority on old Halloween items, is disappointing. There is very little information. It is disorganized with low-end photography. I expected more of a well-rounded reference, especially considering the high cover price!
Collectible HalloweenThe color photo's of the objects are clear and the sizes are large enough to see details. I would say buy this book if you want to view a variety. This is the only Halloween book that Ive seen that has items from the 1920's to the 1990's. I would also purchase Halloween Collectables,by Dan,Pauline Campanelli. In this book you'll see items that were made up to the 1950's, the color and size of the pictures are a bit better. I own both of these books, and wouldn't give up eithier one.

doll value researchExtremely disappointed with this book. Unless you are researching special highly collectible dolls this book is not for you. It gvies no ID marks or any other helpful information. Would not recommend this book.
Blue Book Dolls and Values, 16th EditionI have been collecting dolls for over 25 years and very few were listed in this book. I bought the book under the premise that it was a guide to ALL dolls and could give an accurate value of the doll. However, what I found was a very one-sided book with doll pictures belonging to Jan Foulke and those dolls seemed to be listed at a higher value, meaning her book is a platform to sell her own collection. Needless to say, I purchased the book on a Tuesday and returned it on Wednesday. I WOULD NOT RECOMMED THIS BOOK TO ANY DOLL COLLECTOR! The book I recommend is DOLL VALUES - ANTIQUES TO MODERN.
16TH BLUE BOOK AND VALUESANOTHER GREAT GUIDE FOR DOLL COLLECTORS.THIS BOOK IS VERY HELPFUL IN PRICING DOLLS TO SELL OR BUYING DOLLS. IT IS THE DOLL BOOK THAT MORE DEALERS USE THAN ANY OTHER AND IS USED AS A GUIDE TO HELP IDENTIFY DOLLS. THE PICTURES ARE GREAT, WISH THERE WERE MORE OF THEM..RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

Not Worth the Paper It's Printed OnToo bad there is no zero rating. The editors have killed too many trees to create this work which runs in the face of comprehension and educates on nothing.
Unclear what the editors had in mind.I must agree with the reviewer from Seattle. It's very unclear what the editors had in mind, or for what purpose this book would be used.
FABRIC is missing from this FLAG.To judge a book of quotes on a general subject one must look at the job the editors did. What did they put in? What did they leave out? Simple research in the index reveals the slant. e.g. Quotes from presidents and vice presidents since 1960: Reagan, Nixon, Bush, Ford, Agnew, Quayle with 36 year of service in national office were quoted a sum total of twice. Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Gore, Humphrey and Mondale with a total of 28 years of national service were quoted 72 times. Hillary Clinton alone was quoted twice. The editors can't even find quotes from Reagan on "American Values and Virtues?" I would not be so critical if the Title was changed to: "Some American Values and Virtues" or "American Values and Virtues we Approve"

what the dealers use.I like this book because it is more accurate than the cheap price guides that can be purchased at convenience stores. I believe all dealers have heard of this book and KBB has a great web site also.

Look ElsewhereNautical Antiques is a book of well described excellent photographs by an author whose qualifications are that he observed ships from the dock as a child. There is little history, context, significance or scholarship provided. See American Nautical Art and Antiques by Jacqueline Kranz (1975) for the opposite of what little Robert W. D. Ball has given us.

class assignmentA little boy calls this magical Greek island home. He and his dog, Roger, live on Corfu. They have many animal friends living with them. One sunny morning, while on a walk, they rescued a tortoise who had fallen into the sea. Toby feels left out because there is only one of him and there is two of everyone else. Share the search for a wife with Toby.
This book was alright, not one of my favorites. You and your child may enjoy it though. It is a great book to use your imagination with. From the drak snakes to the furry blue bumblebees, the illustrations are great. Don't let my opinion stop you, read this book for yourself.

Office 2000 for Dummies Value PackThe Office 2000 for Dummies Value Pack consists of 3 books only one of which focuses on Office 2000. The other 2 deal with Microsoft Iternet Explorer 5 and Front Page. Unless you have these programs or have the Premium edition of Office 2000 this package won't be of much use to you and you would be better off buying Office 2000 for Dummies alone.
Why is it a secret what this "value Pack" contains. You give absolutely no ionformation about this book

Blue Book of Modern Black Powder ValuesThis book is so full of errors and misinformation that it is totally useless to the collector of modern production replica black powder revolvers. In collecting replica revolvers the markiings on the gun is what makes one more valuable than another. This is a very new field of collecting and there is still much to be learned. It is for this reason that this book does more harm than good. Where does the author get his values? Why would a Uberti revolver from one distributor be valued differently than another when they are both marked the same. The book does not even list the most valuable variations. It appears the the "Blue Book of Values" has just come up with a way to produce another book by removing the black powder section from the original Blue Book and publishing it as a separate book. Values listed mean nothing and should not be used to determine values of replica black powder percussion revolvers. Dr. James H. Davis, Founder and President of the Replica Percussion Revolver Collector's Association, an international collector's association.
