For beginners of any age!
This book gives an accurate and helpful introduction to the skill of riding horses. It teaches you how to make contact with horses, what kind of equipment you need and what you do not need, how to prepare for your riding lessons and how to get the correct "seat". The book also gives you detailed instructions as to how to mount the horse (not so easy as you think!), and the differend techniques of riding. As a supplement to riding lessons, this book is superb. It tells you everything you will need as a beginner. However, it tells you nothing about how to take care of a horse - but that is a different story and a different book. The book has good explanations, drawings and photos. It suits young people as well as us "oldies" who just started to ride in middle age.. Enjoy!

A Must- have for any skyscraper lover !!!!
I just bought this book and really enjoyed it. It is made under the same scheme as "100 of the tallest buildings of the world", with great color pictures, diagrams, technical information, images of Lobbys, street plazas, etc. Contains information of around 100 tall buildings, most of them from China and Japan, and almost all of them are buildings that are hard to hear about. If you are a fan of skyscraper architecture, you won't be disapointed with this book.

One of the best books i've ever used for Torah
Part of my work involves teaching the weekly sedrah to children of primary and high school age.T his book has helped tremendously. It gives clear synopsis of each weeks parsha and practical ideas on all levels on how to put it over to the children using methods that incorporate games, activites and discussion.

It takes the sedrah at levels suitable for family discussion and as a Bar Mitzvah Project aswell as giving further resources to extend the sedrah yourself- truly a worthwhile book for families and educators

What it is....
This book consists of a text by Karma Chagmey, one of the founders of the Palyul division of the Nyingma school of Vajrayane Buddhism. At first I was put off by it, since it implicitly promises to discourse on the principles of not one, but two, sublime paths, Dzogchen _and_ Mahamudra; then after going through a pretty normal (for Vajrayana texts) progression through the four thoughts that change the mind, etc., becomes a discourse on Guru Yoga with Chenrezig as the Lama. In other words, there is a faint sense of having shown up for the lecture and having to begin at the very beginning and patiently work up to the real juicy parts. This attitude, of course, is one of our major obstacles in the West to really appreciating the "advanced teachings." We want them, but don't want to go through the boring parts. On re-reading the text, however, I found it very charming and down to earth. It made my practice feel more centered by getting me back to basics (refine the details) while keeping the goal (the sublime) in mind. As an overview of all of the essentials of the path, it also helps my Ngondro. Sort of puts things into a kinder, gentler perspective. I now find it a great companion on trips, being relatively thin (for packing and carrying in a camera bag or pack), written in everyday (to the extent this is possible) language and lacking in pretension. Chokyi Nyima's comments are also helpful, and he does occasionally drop in the technical tidbit we all long for. Finally, if you have any Palyul empowerments, it is great to see a book written around the lineage founder's text. It is great to know the founder was kind and had a sense of humor, and especially that he encouraged lay practitioners.

It's Time to Remember Joy
I attended a lecture by Dadi a few months ago and I could not believe how much I was moved. This book creates that same feeling. Its a compilation of the insights of an 87 year old Indian woman's spiritual journey and search for God, a woman who has devoted her life to that journey and has emerged accomplished and joyous. It is filled with a faithfulness to life that is both innocent yet profound. What this means is that while the book is incredably easy to read, I found myself reading it more and more slowly, the better to experience the immense amount of love and kindness she brings to the subjects she addresses. I find myself going over and over the same passages, each time feeling refreshed and strengthened. Dadi believes in the greatness of the human soul and her words restore that same confidence in the reader. Really, an amazing book for anyone feeling shakey about their ideals, or the meaning of it all. This book acts like a spiritual injection.

FANTASTIC...!
This absolutely is the best textbook on the market for preparing to teach preschool children. The quality of the book reflects the author's intense dedication to early childhood as a teacher, center director, and University professor.

The book takes a much needed "how to" approach and is written in a clear and concise style. Beginning with understanding the characteristics of young children at different ages, the book is comprehensive. It includes everything you need to know to set up a creative developmentally appropriate environment; manage a classroom; plan an inviting curriculum, work with parents, etc. The hundreds of colored photographs help the reader see and understand quality indicators needed in outstanding early childhood programs. ... very good business decision...
Contracts that are, comprehensive, usable and complete.. Not to mention money saving, I recommend this item fully!

Great Start For Indies
I recently started an indie record label and this has been a great resource in getting an idea of what is to be expected of me as well as the artists I am to assist. It is comprehensive and gives me more info than I can handle right now. I know I will need more in the future but this has given me a solid foundation. This is a must have for all self starters.
Spirit Filled Records on the Horizon Baby!!!! Look 4 us

extraordinarily helpful
One of the things that I found extraordinarily helpful with this product is that it comes with a CD-Rom, which allows you to actually customize the contracts to your liking.

When using the CD-Rom that comes with this book, you can go into each contract and add your company and/or other parties names, agreed %, dollar amounts and just about anything else that you need to add, and then print the contract out directly from your printer, giving you an agreement that is fully customized and professional looking.

I also found this thing to be extremely easy to use and self explanatory - No law degree needed.

Talk about convenience!!! You can't beat it.

Would be a 4* if it had ongoing updates!
The book is wonderful but stops in the middle of no where. The last update recieved was Summer of 1999. Alot has happened since then & the new pages would be wonderful. One of the reasons for paying the price for the book was it would never go out of date. Especially seeing the material provided was clear, concise & covered all a collector could want! Please,Please go back to printing & selling the updates! Great Book (as far as it goes)

My Beanie Baby Binder
I love my book but updates have stopped. I wish updates could be started again. I would recommend that the available books be purchased. The last update was Summer of 1999.I am having trouble finding updates. If any one knows how to get up dates, please e-mail me.

Binder owner with Questions
I just recently dusted off my binder and tried to go to the website listed on the back. No site found. I searched for the binder on Amazon and found that the updates have been disc. I'm so disappointed because I thought it was best one offered for collectors. FYI, the last binder published was a Final Millennial Edition that includes a 12/31/99 Retired section. The one I have is signed by Peg, also. If anyone knows why the updates never happened, please respond.
