Lindsay, Lindsay, Fly Away Home

loved it
lindsay is a very interesting character, and it's really fun to see how north american customs and slang sound to people who aren't used to them. plus, there's a lot in there about india, and i've always wanted to go to a foriegn country. lindsay really has a hard time fitting in in america, and even though it's more extreme than the alienation most of us go through in high school, we can all relate. i especially loved the part where she told her aunt she slept 'in the raw'-i almost laughed myself sick!

A pioneering work
This is the best and only book about Vietnam War movies written while the war was still going on (i.e., before Apocalypse Now, Rambo II, etc.) As such, it is a unique view of how we Americans actually saw the war at the time, without the benefit of 20/20 hindsight. More importantly, this book is a lot of fun to read, thanks to the author's unique sense of humor.

What a charming book!
This is a charming book with lively illustrations. Actually, I also
own the "How to be a bride..." by the same illustrator! She
is imaginative and has great use of color!

The Man Who Tried to Get Away
The 3rd book in a 3 book series by Reed Stephens.

Brew and Ginny take an "easy" job as security at a mystery murder camp. But things soon become too real when the bodies start adding up.

This is the best in the series.....so far. (hint hint Mr Stephens :)

Helps You Realize Your Dreams!
I rated this book a big 5 because it helped me accomplish what I dreamed of doing... Escaping from the ratrace and moving to the beautiful Texas hill country.

I purchased the book twelve years ago and read it constantly.. It helped keep my dream alive when the preparation time seemed to take forever... Indeed, it took about five years to get the money together and go.

A fun book to help you get out of the dreaming mode and actually GET MOVING!!!

The book goes into detail on the planning stage AND how to take care of business while you're out on your sailboat, moterhome or whatever... There's even a chapter on traveling with children.

Good luck!
