This now hard-to-find book is a fine short account of the life of the notorious Civil War politician/general, Daniel E. Sickles. It focuses more upon the trial in which Sickles was charged with murdering his wife's lover (hence the title!), but it is overall a fascinating account of the life of one of the most notorious figures in American history, a combination of flagwaving patriot/human rights activist and ambitious, corrupt, and amoral politician/criminal. offend almost everyone!

I am a 28 year old female who lives in Australia. I have not found many books on self- Mutilation here and came across this book at our local library. I am what they label a 'Cutter', and found this book very helpful to understand why I self-harm and how to stop myself from doing it.

The book is set out in 6 chapters explaining: * What is self-Injury? * Who self-Injures and Why do they do it? * Self-Mutilation and Related Disorders * Treatment and Therapies * Helping Yourself Stop Self-Injury * Helping Someone Who self-Injures These chapters are full of detail, the most helpful to me were the last two chapters, it especially talks about how to tell friends and family about your Self-Injury, which was the hardest thing to do for me. After reading the book it made me feel like a real person again and that I have an illness that I share with many other people in the world.

The book also tells of others experiences in Self-Injury and why they came to do it. This illness can happen to all classes of people it talks of well know people like Jonny Depp and the late Princess Diana and what they went through.

I would reccommend this book to all that Self-Harm and all those family members and friends who love and want to help there loved one to overcome this. It has some very good advice on these things and expresses how support is so important, instead of ridicule and ultimatums people with these illnesses need love and understanding.

Please buy this book if you want to overcome this illness it has helped me a great deal to understand me and who I am.

This book is one of my children's favorites. I have read it so many times I could quote it by heart. The pictures by Jose Aruego are funny, colorful and full of whimsey. Highly recommended for children of all ages.

This is a very nice book to have. An author wrote about every nice places and every activities you could do within 2 hours drive around Baltimore...He also included the phone numbers and the addresses of every place he had mentioned in the book..It's also good for escaping.

Great book for getaway planning. All the destinations are no more than two hours away from Cincinnati and go into all directions. This book has helped me discover many hidden gems in this area, such as the Ohio Caverns in West Liberty, Ohio, as well as Constitution Square in Danville, KY. Definitely a must have!

Great book to read with your kids! If you have been looking for a book to give your kids a better understanding of the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible, this is it. It combines both the scripture that kids can understand and excellent historical commentary. Great if you want to do a Bible study with your kids.

I am so very pleased that someone addresses the issue of mothering disorders that plague so many mothers today. My wife suffered from serious post-partum depression because she had a cesarean section instead of a normal vaginal birth. She told me she felt like they gave her someone else's baby, which made her feel so guilty and depressed.

Hooray for this author having the courage to speak out against the inhumane practices that doctors and nurses constantly subject innocent mothers to in todays modern hospitals.

I have had Carlson Wade's Book (Eat Away Illness) for several years, and would not part with my copy of this great book. I have found that the information here is invaluable, and cannot be found anywhere else. To my knowledge Carlson was the first one I ever herd talk about free radicals, and now its almost common to hear this talked about daily. He goes into great detail about how to turn the aging process around, and feel youthful once more. Although it may be a little expensive to begin the process of changing the way you eat, its well worth it in the end. The results are marvelous. The only other book I could mention that would go hand in hand is Jethro Closs book (Back to Eden). In any case this is a book well worth the money.
