Two of my favorites together
Marrianne Williamson's work is both real and honest. Rather than couch things in a concepts that are alien or extremely religious, she talks to you about the realities of existing. Of how things will not always be easy, about how you will lose your way, and honestly how to see people clearly. Growth is messy, it's not neat, maturity is not easy, nor is spirtiuality delicate work, but with assistance from a tape like this you can see yourself clearly and how to bridge yourself from concept to human to spiritual being.

check it out at the library!
This was my first Anthony Robbins cassette, and I really enjoyed it. I am looking foward to all his others. A lot of 'get rich, be smart, etc' motivators lack belivablity and energy. Tony certainly doesn't. Great for mom's who need a little encouragement. Great for everyone. And the interview with Covey is just excellent!

Great tape for Tony Robbins and Steven Covey Fans!
Tony describes how to anticipate success in all areas of your life. Learn successful strategies about the 7 habits from Steven Covey.

One may imagine learning something new in a whole new way about the Power of Anticipation, now.

I thoroughly enjoyed the ways to start anticipating more success with this tape!

Advent Anticipation: Drawing Nearer to the Christ-Child

A great family help
This book, Advent Anticipation: Drawing Nearer to the Christ-Child, was a great help for our family. It allowed all of us (of differing denominational backgrounds such as Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican & Baptist) to all draw together during the Christmas season. There was nothing denominationally to offend any of us, yet it brought us together spiritually at a time when this was expecially yearned for and needed. Some of us actually reread the book after Christmas. We didn't want to stop. It has many insights not readily available elsewhere.

Recapture the Excitement of the Season

Regardless of a person's denominational preferance (or lack thereof), if you'll just slow down long enough to spend a few moments daily within these pages, you'll be blessed. Ms. Conte's methods of providing daily devotionals that are biblically sound yet personally applicable allows for the quiet reflection time we all need, especially during this busiest of seasons. Here's what Pastor Peter Kelsall of the United Kingdom said about the book: "In season, the scriptures and meditations will warm your heart, broaden your thinking and help you keep the true meaning of Advent and Christmas in perspective. Out of season, there are depths here into which you can dip and be refreshed in your daily journey with God."

The best book for pregnant women!
This book provided a wonderful way to reflect on being pregnant and the many ways it impacts your life. While many books are available to discuss the physical changes and how to best care for your body, this one talked about the emotional, mental, and spiritual changes and how to care for your soul. Written in short "devotionals," the topics range from the silly (why you should feel ok in a bathing suit) to deep (handling fears of miscarriage). Since being given this book in my own pregnancy, I have purchased it for each of my friends who are expecting. Many first time mothers told me it also helped keep themselves focused on the miracle they were experiencing.

The perfect book for a mother-to-be!
"Blessed Expectations," is a book that resonates with a woman during her pregnancy. The words are alive and have deep meaning. It is a joyful book filled with spirit and love. It is a beautiful gift for a mother-to-be, and a wonderful reminder for those who have given birth.

Intrigued and convinced
As a scientist, I am intrigued by Nadin's precise and convincing arguments in favor of "anticipation" as a characteristic of living being. Each idea is carefully phrased. Solid scientific foundation along with extraordinary images make this a book to be read and discussed for a long time. This is also a book that my friends will enjoy receiving.

Anticipations of the Reaction of Mechanical and Scientific Progress Upon Human L

Diamonds in the rough
This book offers an interesting, although distanced, look at the technological progress of the 20th century - from the perspective of 1901.

H.G. Wells reflects some of the less attractive characteristics of a world we have grown beyond, but has a keen insight into social dynamics and the progress it directs.

Much of the book is not worth reading, but there are snippets of truth that point to major changes that our world economy and cultures are still going through. If you are willing to wade through the rough, there are some diamonds to be found.

leaps
This is probably the worst written book I have ever read. The author obviously understands the topic but it is one thing to know a subject and another thing to teach it. I am a physician and I have read my share of books.

A classic and definitive guide, but needs updating
This book, published in 1993, is now a classic and the definitive guide to trading LEAPS. It provides an excellent introduction to LEAPS and takes the pain to explain how LEAPS differ from traditional options. If you already have knowledge of options, this book will be a breeze to you, thanks to the author's lucid and humorous writing style. Do keep in mind that LEAPS are more than just longer-term options; pricing them using BS, for example, would be quite wrong.

Which brings us to the drawback of this book from the early 90s. Much as changed to LEAPS -- the demand, the valuation methods, the trading mechanics -- since 1993, and this book would have remained great had it been updated. As it stands, you should definitely use it in conjunction with the web to make sure you get the latest info on these securities.

One last thing: if you are set on trading LEAPS, make sure your broker can accommodate it. My online broker is great for trading options, but it turns out they won't allow LEAPS for accounts less than $50k, which include mine.

In short, I recommend this book highly as a primer to LEAPS. Read it from cover to cover and make sure you duly understand all the RISKS involved, not just the potential gains. Good luck!

Humour and inredible knowledge 2in1
LEAPS is a helpful manual and it can be followed by readers who have basic knowledge on options. Roth analyzes in a very vivid and enjoyable way LEAPS and offers to the investor all the necessary background. I really enjoyed reading it.

Accidents happen : anticipation, avoidance, survival
Published in Unknown Binding by J. Murray (1978)
Author: Ann Courtenay Edmonds Welch
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Entertaining and educational
A fascinating book documenting thousands of accidents in flying, mountaineering and sailing along with causes and comments on avoidance. The accidents are categorized by root cause (mechanical failure, weather, lack of experience/planning etc.). Difficult to read cover to cover - there is too much information. But very interesting and entertaining to dip into. People participating in 'risk' sports should read this book.
