DELIGHTFULLY AMUSING!Review Date: 2005-05-09
"Fried Pies and Roast Cake" addresses an issue that parents of young kids have always faced...the different wants of the kids and keeping them all happy. It's lunch time and Lady Jane cat asks This One and That One what they want to eat. Each of course wants a completely different menu. Mom tells the kids to decide soon. They ask Dad for help but Dad tells them to work it out. After much bickering, the kids decide to share and come with a crazy, mixed up menu that mom knows will be unappetizing. Mom finally suggests taking a couple of suggestions from each of them and making some today and some the next day.
Funny and charming, "Fried Pies and Roast Cake" is definitely the most amusing book by Seymour and Keach. The kids arguing over what they want is something that most parents can relate to. The book also teachs kids the value of sharing and compromise and in the end, both sides are happy. Once again, Geoffrey Planer provides colorful and fun illustrations that make this book a winner.

For all those with Love in PerilReview Date: 2006-06-06
In "The Friendly Ambassador: The Beginning of the End," the Edenite Breda forms a strong and close relationship with the Klysanthian Clyemne who is involved in her rescue, and fears her potential loss at the hands of the pursuing Keruh. And in the second book "The Friendly Ambassador: A Gathering of Angels," Peleus forms a powerful relationship with Lysippe, while two other Klysanthians, Scyleia and Heli begin the steps that will form full and loving relationships with the Androktones Tai-Gil and Ann-Ra. Both want to save the unsaveable. The Androktone characters have great appeal in this respect. They are strong, fearless and viciously brutal. But they are not evil, they do what they do because they have to: they have no choice. And underneath they are as vulnerable as children. The Klysanthians have a similar appeal. They may not be as strong as the Androktones, but they are equally fearless and equally at risk, and they are also genuine and kind.
"The Friendly Ambassador" stories blend Greek Myth with traditional science-fiction, taking a different approach to the legend of Atlantis, the origination of the Amazons, and the true nature of mythical creatures such as the Cyclops and Centaurs as aliens from other worlds. The story is set on Atlantian Earth, on board various ships in space, and on the far off world of Eden. It is full of rich characters, monsters and hardware, but it is packaged in a totally different way to anything that's been done before.
Although there are many visual centrepieces, it is the relationships between the principal characters and their understanding of each other that is the main focus of the story. At first opposing one another, many of the characters are forced together and learn that they are very much the same despite their very different natures and origins. All the aliens have different viewpoints and agendas; there are no blind killers, and the borders between the good guys and the bad guys are deliberately blurred. The idea is to break through the barriers of both race and creed and to show that all are the same underneath.

Heart warming seriesReview Date: 2000-05-08
This the first book in a series of angel wings books. It was just published in 1999 and there are 13 books in the series already. Children will find it enjoying to read the book themselves. The black and white pictures help to show more what Patricia's life is like.
I found this book to be very heart warming. It helped me to realize that even though someone is different on the outside we are all the same on the inside.

Scientific Details Not NeededReview Date: 2002-07-18
When I first read this book, I was AMAZED...because I found it to be 100% in keeping with my own experiences, experiences I had been trying for years to convey to others. I had been able to get through to some people who didn't mind my scientific explanations and support information; but a lot of my friends just don't care about that...they are only interested in results.
This is a book about the results, and techniques to get them. If you want the science behind it, you'll need to look further; but "From Atoms to Angels" is a heck of a good introduction to by applying metaphysical principles to your life to make it work.

A Start of a New Adventure!Review Date: 2007-03-17
In Volume 1 of Galaxy Angel II, Kazuya meets some of the squad. Nano-Nano Pudding, a cat-like nano-machine child with a healing power. Kahlua Majoram, a witch with a flirty and outgoing alter-ego, Tequila, who makes her powers much stronger. He is told about Lily C. Sherbert, who is on Seldor, reluctant to be with the Angel's full-time because of her attatchment to the King's Imperial Guard, as one of the most powerful swordsmistress's. And then, Kazuya learns about Anise Azeat, a thief (she calls herself a treasure hunter) who tries to pay off her huge financial debts to Mint, making her become desperate and is not an angel until the 2nd volume comes out.
And of course, there's Apricot Sakuraba, Milfie's sister with a deadly fear of men which will come into action when she is touched by a guy by pounding them high in the air. Despite this, there are hints that Apricot is falling in love with Kazuya.
Milfie is trapped in ABSOLUTE, the gateway between EDEN and NEUE, as the only Gatekeeper. Apricot and the Troupe must find a way to get her out of there... Before she is kidnapped by the new evil force!
