For the average person , this will give one some wonderful ideas and many are effective for any age. This is a fairly all inclusive book and I do think it will help most ....or at least get then started...and it is a book your MD will read. It is easy to breeze through and then decide where you will focus and what are the best treatments.

Mind Boosters has been a great help for me and my wife who has Parkinsons. We have been able to find products and help where there is no known cure. We have found no cure but a sense of learning about things that can be of some help for my wife's problem.

This book is perfect for those seeking informations about improving mind performance using only nutrients, vitamins and suplements without farmaceutical drugs.

This book provide a wide review about basic concepts that help us to understand suplements utility for each case. If you know why it is important, then you can believe that is important.

I recomend, specialy for those willing to prevent age related cognitive decline!

This book has good information, mostly on the supplements widely available in the U.S. (i.e. things you will find in supermarket vitamin isles). Some potentially useful substances -- specifically pyroglutamic acid derivatives, Rhodiola and other supplements that have extensive testing in Europe but not U.S. -- are not mentioned.

Also, despite referencing studies, dr. Sahelian relies on patient observations and his own experiences to a fairly significant degree. This is not necessarily a minus -- it is necessary when double blind, placebo controlled trials are lacking -- but it is something the reader should be aware of.

Overall though this is a solid introduction to the topic with a nice basic "brain science" primer.

Finally, I should note that one of the problems with health/supplements in the US is that there are essentially battle lines drawn with big Pharma on one side and the "Alternative" medicine field on the other. Unfortunately, both sides have many quacks among their ranks. Against this backdrop Dr Sahelian is one of the less biased sources of information on supplements, so it is easy to recommend his book.

After reading Olive Leaf Extract, my husband and I have started taking the supplement daily. Since then, we've been exposed to people in the workplace with recurring colds and flus, and neither one of us has been sick at all! Amazing! No more antibiotics for bronchitis either!

My son had a problem with shingles as I was reading this book. I feel that the supplement helped him recover faster, as he started getting better as soon as he started taking it.

There is a minefield of information in this book on the benefits of Olive Leaf Extract, but for my part, I wasn't interested in all of the extensive medical jargon in the book that went along with it.

This book is great for anyone who wishes to take charge of their health. "START HERE". The author has not only given you useful information on how and why this works, but also information on purchasing and classification. When I saw how thin this book was I was at first disappointed, but after reading it cannot think of one thing I missed or was not explained in it's entirety. This book now has a special spot on my desk for quick reference anytime I need it, I find answers in seconds.

Olive Leaf Extract by the manufacturer Eastpark.com works for me, it gives me more energy and feel much better at 72 years old. It has extended my brothers life who had a severe case of TB and emphysema. He has lived five years since starting there Olive Leaf and we know this would not have happened without it.

The book explains a lot of information why Olive Leaf works and is very interesting for anyone concerned about their health dilemma and longevity.

The product, Olive Leaf Extract is incredible. It has been used by Europeans before the discovery of antibiotics. It has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties and can keep a cold from developing into bronchitis. My office sounds like the inside of a consumptive ward. Everyone one is on antibiotics. I got a cold one week after a recent trip on a plane. I went to a health food store and asked what to take to lessen the impact as I had all the beginning symptoms of the flu. The owner handed me Olive Leaf Extract. I followed the directions, had a slight fever but in two days I was up and running. O.L.E. also has other benefits, heart, sinus cholesterol etc. READ the book. It is enlightening. Get off of antibiotics!

As a newly minted real estate agent, I bought this book to start learning what I really need to know about real estate, other than what is required by law, and this book does a good job at hitting on important things that a real estate agent should know.

Two things that bothered me though, are first, the author (as I believe I understood it), only worked in real estate for four years and is now retired from real estate. If the advice she gives about how to be a successful real estate agent is so good, how come she no longer practices, after only doing it for 4 years?

Also, the product description on Amazon listed many topics that were the content of this book. Some of those topics were covered by 2 or 3 sentences which was not enough depth to do them justice. Also, where was the part about the vehicle and insurance...I must have missed that. I'll read the book again and see if it is there, but I don't believe it was.

On the positive side I appreciated what the author had to say about keeping a positive attitude and being an ethical real estate agent. I do recommend this book as a good starting point for a new agent as you will be able to create a list of things you need to further investigate for your new career in real estate.

I absolutely loved this book! It was the first Thrasher novel that I've read and it certainly did not disappoint. The characters are very well written and so human it seemed at times that I knew them personally. It is very emotionally moving and hard to put down. I especially loved the fact that each chapter title is the title of a great american novel. Examples: Great Expectations and Catch-22. An absolute must read for anyone who loves Christian Fiction.

Sky Blue was a very touching story told through a man's perspective; which, made it that more intense. Travis Thrasher is awesome at weaving a storyline in the most unique way. The characters are well developed, the plot was suspenseful, and much of it brought me to tears. The main character experiences a gut renching transformation from being self centered, losing the love of his life, experiencing crippling depression, then finally finding redemption and love again at the end. I can honestly say that most of the books that I have read (aside from the few by Stephen King and John Grisham)have all been written by women. Travis T. has the ability to capture everyone's interest whether it be man or woman. Sensitiveness for the women and suspense and thrill for the men.

I could not give it back to her - I had to read it in one sitting. The characters are believeable, the plot is excellent and there also is much for food thought as you go through the book. It is the kind of book which makes you want to read all of Travis Thatcher's works!

I've never been a fan of first person fiction, but Travis Thrasher has won me over. A surprising mix of realism and comedic insight about life and love, as well as our overarching purpose for being on planet Earth. Coffee lovers will resound greatly with Travis' appreciation of the use of caffeine. Wonderful!

Others have done a great job of summarizing plot and character, so read their reviews by all means.

I picked up "Sky Blue" because the cover looked enticing, and because I was killing time in a Borders. I love to read, but I had never heard of this author before, so I was skeptical. I read the first few pages in the bookstore. And determined that I HAD TO HAVE this book. I finished it a few days later.

Travis Thrasher is a brilliant writer, and I am incredibly thankful to have happened upon his novel. I've since acquired everything else he's written.

If you only read one book this year, this should be it.

Abra wants to be Miss Blossom!

Review Date: 2008-07-31
The star of the book in my opinion is Abra and she starts the ball rolling in this mystery by stealing the tiara right off Miss Blossom's head. Since it is actually worth a fortune, Whiskey must get it back. Easier said than done with Abra on the run and hanging out with thieves and murderers...oh yeah, and boys! She has the hots for 2 males this time. Whiskey's household is growing by leaps and bounds too. At first it was just Whiskey and Abra...with young Chester staying a good portion of the time. Now it also contains Abra's son, the stepdaughter and her 2 babies, the Coast Guard nanny, and 40 CATS. Whiskey likes cats no more than dogs but she's a good sport when they move in on her. Between taking care of the cats (she relegates that duty to the new Miss Blossom and Chester) and trying to find the pricey tiara, and solve a murder or two, she is kept busy. The plot moves fast and this series is so much fun to read.

It's rare to find a good mystery that also makes you laugh out loud. This series does that for me every time! Whiskey and Tonic is the best of the bunch so far. The colorful crowd who lives in Magnet Springs is back for more action.

Imagine a cursed beauty pageant (and beauty pageant winner!), plus a haunted estate that Whiskey is supposed to sell. Add to that mix Abra the diva dog, who steals the precious beauty pageant tiara before taking off with a love of her own. And then there's Whiskey's crush on a Southern gentleman who may or may not be in love with Whiskey's stepdaughter. Lots of complications, surprises and giggles. You'll want to savor every laugh at the same time you find yourself racing toward the thrilling conclusion.

With each new mystery in this series, I become a bigger fan of Nina Wright. Anyone who has ever laughed at (or groaned about) the behavior of an actual dog will love the canine and human characters in the Whiskey Mattimoe mysteries. WHISKEY AND TONIC features not only Abra the diva Afghan hound and her usual co-stars Roscoe the K9 cop and Mooney the Rott hound (Rottweiler/Bloodhound mix), but it also introduces Norman the Golden, Abra's true mate. Watching them romp together makes poor Whiskey feel lonelier than ever! And of course there's a bang-up mystery, to boot. This one concerns a jinxed property that may have something to do with Whiskey's late husband and the deaths of several beauty queens. Wright manages to be spooky, suspenseful, and humorous all in one book. Bravo!

Whiskey Mattimoe could be me. It seems as though whatever she does, no matter how good the intention, something goes wrong. From showing her old bra to TRYING to keep her dog from stealing purses and tieras, things just seem to go awry for her. When she is given the opportunity to sell an expensive HAUNTED mansion, she has some concern, but forges ahead. Wonderful characters who feel like real old friends pepper this exciting novel with fun and frolic! And, you will never believe how it all ends! Hold on for a fun ride. I know you will enjoy it!

The third installment of the Whiskey Mattimoe series is every bit as fast paced as the first two. These books seem to move along quickly & enjoyably. Whiskey easily pulls in the reader & is hard to dislike. This time, I enjoyed the mystery more than the first two. The plot centers on a cursed house, so there was somewhat of a supernatural twist that I enjoyed. I am waiting anxiously for "Whiskey & Water," the fourth installment.

I am a huge fan of this series. I read every book in the previous Fearless series. I was looking forward to the FBI series, but it's begining to worry me. For starters, I hated the characters of Catherine and Kim. Will is ok but he does not compare to Sam or Ed, Gaia's previous boyfriends in other books. Gaia has never been stupid. As a teen she was intelligent, strong and capable. She never would have done such stupid things as she has done in this book. If you haven't read the book yet, stop reading because this will contain spoilers. I think it's incredibly stupid for Gaia to have gone off on her own searching for Catherine. If Gaia thinks the FBI is a good enough orginization to join, why would she question them regarding Catherine's disapperance? Shouldn't she have trusted them? Ignoring the FBI's orders and going after Catherine was very out of character for Gaia. Even for someone who has had trust issues in the past, they wouldn't ignore the FBI and trust complete strangers like Marsh. It just doesn't make sense. I didn't like how the book abandoned the lollipop case for awhile and then went off on this whole terrorist thing. The FBI doesn't know Catherine is terrorist? Give me a break! It was so stupid. Like the FBI wouldn't know about terrorists planting bombs under the city streets of Philadelphia. And like the FBI uses passcards for security. Hello! They'd use fingerprint or eye/retinal scans. Even a 6th grader should be aware of these flaws. Despite the flaws, I still give this book a 3 because I love the character of Gaia so much and I have hopes that the series will get back on track. I am currently reading the latest book and it's back on track with the lolli pop murder case. Stick to the cases and no more terrorists stuff, please!

I loved this book. I tried to go slower so i would have to wait as long for the next one but it didn't exactly work.In the beginning evrything makes sense and u just want Gaia to find Catherine. But nearer to the end you get confused and its one of those suspensed kind of confusing feelings. I have read every fearless book and reccomend the to ANYONE and EVERYONE. If u like suspense or staying up all nihgt reading u will love these books. The FBI series is a new series but i would reccomend reading the fearless series first. She ties the old books in very well! Gaia still hasn't gotten over Jake, and that plays a part in this series because she doesn't want to lie to will like she did to jake and sam and ed. So eventually she decides to tell him her secret and he doesn't even believe her!! He will eventually. Gaia is once agian forced to belive that she should never trust anyone when she is betrayed yet AGAIN. From who? now that ur going to have to read to find out about. Once agian great book. I can't believe we have to wait till JUNE for the next one!

I run a mentoring services company, working with corporations to set up online mentoring programs. I recommend this book frequently to program participants. The book is designed to help people think about whether they want to leap into free agency but I think it's equally good as a career development guide for anyone who's feeling stuck or thinking about a change. There are some great exercises to help you assess your current life / career situation and figure out a next step - with free agency being one of many possibilities. I wish I had read this when I was thinking about leaving corporate life and starting a business. I wouldn't have done anything differently but it would have given me better perspective.

A rare combination of practical suggestions with out-of-the-box thinking. I particularly like her categorization of readers as
gamblers, philosophers, desperados, and more.
I also like her list of questions to ask yourself: who are the ghosts hovering over your decision? Nearly every client I work with (see my movinglady.com site) has ghosts and it's not always easy to identify them.

Free to Succeed describes accurately the ever changing work force that is effecting career opportunities. It emphasizes individuals pursuing several rotating career opportunties as opposed to doing the corporate dance as layoffs are becomming more apparent in Big Blue(IBM) and other large corporations.

This book gives some good exercises to give the reader a clear idea of his or her free agent strenghts and weakenesses. Some people have strong imaginations but just lack the nerve. Others may be gamblers with the lack of a strong purpose. To sum it up, this book is a good tool for self evaluation.

The glossary is pretty good and some good resources for web surfers. Some pretty good case studies even if some of them are a bit too repetitive. Its certainly worth a read.

Hi Mr. Keim:

I just wanta to thank you for writing such a great book
"Fundamentals of Listing & Selling Commercial Real Estate"

I'm a Realtor with Century 21 Adobe Realty in Agoura Hills CA. I do residential real estate.

Recently, about a month ago - my client wanted to
lease an office space for his new company -

I was able find the suitable property listed by another
commercial firm and the transaction closed. My client
was very happy - and I got my commision.

Since this is my first commercial lease - which I liked it
so much - the process I've to go through - not to mention the professional commercial agents - I decided
to improve my knowledge of commercial leases etc.
along with the terminology etc.

I decided to improve my knowledge of commercial
leases and wanted to do more and act professional
with those big boys.

Immediately I've ordered your book from Amazon "Fundamentals of Listing & selling commercial real estate".

It arrived. I could not put it down
since all the experiences I went through with this lease
you have explained so well and I understood every

The Perfect Introduction for Commercial Real Estate

I thought this was a well layed out book. It's broken into a section on the fundamentals of commercial real estate (understanding property types, data gathering, analyzing and evaluating property, commercial financing, etc) and the practical part (prospecting, doing a presentation and writing a contract).

There is a lot of good information, and this can make a great desk resource for looking back over terminology and comparing one property to another.

There has been no shortage in books on the topic for investors in commercial real estate, unfortunately, it does not seem as if many books have been written about the brokerage aspect of the business. I did a little research before I purchased this one, and have even read a couple that focus on the industry in general.
When I saw "The Fundamentals of Listing and Selling Commercial Real Estate' by Loren Keim, I ordered it immediately. I thought, "finally, a comprehensive resource that I can use to develop a base knowledge of the industry while I continue to learn and grow; this is fantastic!" I even read some of the passages online before I even purchased it, and was thoroughly impressed with its level of sophistication.
What sold me were the other reviews that I read before I ordered. They were all great, and the authors even shared some of the same problems that I had with regards to the other commercial real estate books. They had actually established a common ground with me.
Then I received it and began reading immediately. The level of detail is something I appreciated, but emphasizing every single type of retail opeations almost put me in a coma. Also, the quality of writing left much to be desired. I suddenly became suspicious about the rave reviews that I had read on this very website, and lo and behold, they were all written by people from Pennsylvania, the same area that the author is from. Pure coincidence? I doubt it, because all of the reviews were truly exaggerated.
I did provide three stars, just because of the pure limited availability of books on commercial real estate brokerage. So, if anyone is reading this and is an experienced commercial real estate broker with strong writing ability, there is absolutely an opportunity for you to enter this book niche!

I had been looking for a book that explained the technical aspects and the sales techniques of commercial real estate. This book combines them both. There is a lot of meat in this book instead of fluff. I highly recommend it!

Makes the Complex Understandable

Whether you're a real estate agent selling commercial and investment property or an investor purchasing and selling commercial real estate, the field of Commercial Real Estate Sales and Investment Property Sales is very complex, with a language all its own.

Challenges in commercial real estate sales include mathematical projections, return calculations, zoning issues, legal issues, contract issues, environmental inspections, tax consequences and the entire minefield lately of commercial mortgages and loans.

In the "Fundamentals of Listing and Selling Commercial Real Estate", Loren Keim, the author, has made the complex understandable with an easy-to-read book. An excellent job, I give it 5 stars!

This book is more amazing each year. Stefan has a handle on the trends impacting residential real estate that are a must read if you are in the business as an owner, executive, real estatte agent or service provider.

I have this report as a standing order each year and have had Stefan present a synopsis of his report to influential Realtors(R)who met his content and views with tremendous enthusiasm.

The real estate industry is going through changes at a never before imagined rate and the only way to stay on top of trends that will impact your business is to take full advantage of tools such as this. They come along rarely but when they do you had better obtain, absorb and utilize the valuable information.

As the CEO of a high growth company, I have to periodically change our strategies to meet new challenges. We have a great team of people, but still it takes my team longer to adopt to the changes than I would like. I was struggling with this problem for years. I have paid lot of money to consultants, but results have not been there. I received Theory ZYX book as a gift from a friend who is also a CEO.

As I read Chapter nine, a light bulb turned on; it was as though this chapter was specifically written for my company. Now I know the root cause and the solution.

I highly recommend this book to anyone dealing with change.

I found this book extreemly helpful in managing our change initiates. The examples are excellent. It reads like a story with humor. This subject can get real dry, but Mr. Arora takes the horror out of reading about change management. If you have a project of any kind where you are directing more than one person this book can help you succeed. I highly recommend it.
