A fourth-grade reader with no pertinent information.Kronenwetter has authored a beginner book appropriately written in LARGE print for younger readers. The book pertains mostly to the FBI and gives a nod to the Secret Service. Information relevant to these two agencies is limited, outdated, and of little or no use to someone looking for in-depth and insightful information on these well-known and well-respected agencies. IRS CID, DEA, ATF, and the Coast Guard are mentioned but no relevant information is offered to the reader so that they might better understand the enforcement mission, jurisdiciton, agent background, training, or history of these agencies. The reader is better off spending money on long distance calls directly to Federal Law Enforcement agencies and requesting a tri-fold brochure for more voluminous information.

Out-of-print for a reason! The premise of this book, written by an ad agency exec, is that corporate clients are clueless morons who just don't realize what geniuses their ad agency guys are. Marconi's answer to "Getting The Best From Your Ad Agency"? Throw a lot of money their way, question nothing, and worship the results. The book is poorly edited with numerous typos, sequencing errors, etc. It also contains outrageous amounts of filler material - a 3 and 1/2 page list of celebrity endorsers and their products, 7 pages of ad slogans going back decades - as well as self-serving examples of "successful" vs. "unsuccessful" ad campaigns (hmm, let me guess whose Chicago based ad agency produced the much lauded campaign for the Chicago Board of Trade.) Waste no time, effort or money tracking this one down.

Gilbert Law Summaries: Agency & Partnership

How could Gilbert put something so poor together?Usually, Gilbert's are my legal Bibles. But I must critique this one. Instead of updating the old 1982 text line by line, Conviser just adds the 1995 edits at the back of the book. Now surely, some law professor could have received tenure editing this legal aid. Worse, the old text never has signals which say to now look at the revision. I don't know if it was just my copy or what, but the table of contents was not in order. Usually Gilbert's have a nice outline in the front. This Gilbert's outline was crammed together and illegible. Still, this Gilbert's isn't long and reading it made me realize that agency/partnership is not too difficult.

What a rip-offWhen our company placed this order we could barely wait to receive the book. What a complete dissapointment! For the money I expected more than a flimsy, digest-size, 143 page book with 14 point type and the pages were only 1/4 to 1/2 worth of type. For example, one chapter titled "How Much Spec Work?" was only 9 sentences. Another chapter titles "Develop a Presentation Kit" didn't have any verbage on the topic, instead it simply showed 4 line-art images. Save your money! Who ever was responsible for putting a price tag based on the information/content given in this book should be ashamed of themselves!!

How to Start & Manage a Travel Agency Business
Published in Paperback by Lewis & Renn Associates (July, 1999)
Amazon base price: $18.95

Cut & PasteThe author has apparently published multiple books on how to start a....... business. All of the books are exactly the same down to the exact same words, sentences, format... everything. What they really are is a generic book on how to do a business plan etc... for any generic business. Don't waste your time or money. This book has nothing to do with Travel or Travel Agencies.

What a rip off!Everything that is in this book can be found for free at your local Small Business Administration. If I were alone in a cabin in the middle of the Alaskan winter I would burn this book instead of wasting good firewood. Unfortunately I am in Puerto Rico so all I can do is stare at my wasted fifteen dollars on my bookshelf over a rum and coke.

Really Bad ChoiceThis is a terrible book. I bought this for my child...who found it "extremely boring." Now I understand that most 13 year olds find books boring these days, so I decided to read it myself. Spy stories should be exciting. Mr. Webster makes intelligence seem as exciting as broiling a chicken. Don't let down your kids by buying this book.

FBI Deserves Better!I applaud the spirit of this book. Breuer rightly seeks to demythologize the Depression era gangsters and heroize the G-Men who brought them down. Unfortunately, his book contains so many factual errors that it detracts from his noble purpose. Breuer claims to have drawn his information from FBI files and "authors of integrity, ability, and objectivity." So many erroneous dates, places and events are portrayed here that it bears little resemblance to the many thousands of pages I have examined in the FBI's FOIPA Reading Room, and one of the few published works Breuer cites is Jay Robert Nash's Bloodletters and Badmen, which makes a nice doorstop but is hardly a tool for serious researchers. The FBI deserves better treatment than this!
