This is an excellent book for anyone wishing to learn more about our neighbor to the south. Camp provides all the basic information about the Mexican political system. Scholars will find this to be a great resource. Camp then goes beyond the basics to provide excellent analysis of the dynamic political and economic system. His insight into the Mexican system comes from years of study. Students (and Professors) of Mexican politics will want to have this handy reference on their shelves.

This books is an excellent source of philosophy and technique. It is not a substitute for a qualified instructor.

Being a student of Herman's is quite an experience. His knowledge and expertise is extensive, as is his patience. Push hands does not involve pushing, but more of an attempt to discover the balance of your partner, while at the same time hiding yours from them. In essence, it teaches you about yourself and about others. It requires you to live in the moment, and not think about attaining goals per se. It will increase your awareness, and teach you the true principals of Tai Chi.

If you are serious about learning the real Tai Chi, then push hands will help you a great deal. But be patient.

In her free time she practices with her bokken and dreams of dating the captain of the Kendo club, whom Azumi is also chasing.
This is an incredibly fun, action packed series and I can't wait till the next book comes out!

AI-CHENG LIU has a in-deepth observation and sharp pen to reveal what is New yorker dreaming yet appointing about. I love the one called "Don't crash me on the street" and "A man without shadow" in her 13 stories. It's a real pain if you dare to look into your mind.

Ai has her own style, and manages to write on a diverse range of subjects & styles--but one thing stays the same: her voice, her love of words, and her feeling--each poem is packed with it.

This book is clearly and concisely written for 24-movement TaiChi Short Form (Simplified TaiChi form). With very clear and step-by-step detailed photos/illustrations, this excellent book is the ultimate introduction to the world of TaiChi.

Understanding Music with AI is an introduction to Cognitive Musicology, the term understood as a science of mental representations of music. The book introduces formal models for otherwise taken-for-granted musical activities such as composing, analyzing music, listening, performing music, etc. In contrast to present-day work with neural nets, theories introduced in the book test their models at the level of cognition, rather than perception or brain processes. The distinction between listening and perception, e.g., is thought to be fundamental, in that listening is based on meaning-making, and comprises perception as a mere subprocess. There is also an attempt to do justice to creativity, especially in music composition. As a consequence, criteria of theoretical adequacy are different in AI- and network-based music research.
