Six died, thousands injuried, and the only thing the political appointees (including the politically appointed police supervisors) were worried about was who had access to the documents that predicted the '93 WTC Explosion.

Police Officers like Sgt. Caram, in ANY jurisdiction, are nothing more than Political Pawns to be used as needed. While the cops on the street are more concerned with true public safety, the political hacks care less. This book about the '93 WTC exemplifies this notion.

It happened in 1993 & again on 9/11/2001 with catstrophic devastation. This book educates Americans on the culture of the terrorist. It also tells us not to judge all Arabs peoples as having the ideals as the terrorists. It was a warning which went unheeded. It is fair to note the author went to great length to inform the proper people of our vulnerability, however he was not taken seriously, the horrors were dismissed as happening to some other country, where terrorism is more prevelant. We would do well to listen more astutely to those who have information for our protection & presevation.

I read it cover to cover in two sittings . . . O.K., I'll concede, I scanned a few sections but was truly engrossed by most. This book offers an excellent balance of specifics, statistics and "for more info" references. It unequivocally belongs in the library of any savvy business owner, manager, hopeful entrepreneur or corporate mogul. The layout will enable the reader to find information of concern quickly and easily. In particular, the chapters devoted to business law, human resources and finance were extremely helpful to me. Well worth the price. I'm looking forward to adding the 1998 edition to my shelves. Now (wringing hands together), back to that business plan outline on page 168 . . .

I know... it's weird to get excited about a reference book, but this is a very good survey of resources and tidbits of information useful in running a business, whether you're an office manager or trying to foray on your own. As might be expected in a broad-based book, there is coverage of topics you might not have thought about asking, for example, how to prepare your art work for billboard advertising. However, there is some weakness in high-tech areas, e.g., Web Site marketing, where only a small handful of companies are listed. Augmenting the book are numerous email addresses which you can request lists of information on specific topics.

I bought this as a journalism student and I continue to read the articles over and over. This is the best of the best! I even showed this to one of my former professors and it is now part of the curriculum.

This book is a must read for anyone looking to improve his or her writing skills and storytelling ability.

It is filled with inspiration and ideas you could incorporate into your own decorating and design projects. I love Mexico, and just looking at the gorgeous images inside this book takes me right back to that magical place.

Though 1997 seems like a lifetime ago and a completely different market ago, this book shares insights into who we have become as a society of consumers and purveyors. A clear and concise picture of where our society and economy have been and where we are headed. The author is a very interesting fellow and an amazing speaker. Buy the book and attend one of his speaking engagements. If you don't learn something from both...well...perhaps you're dead. Seriously, this is a great book.

An outstanding story told by an outstanding writer. I want to meet Rosanne Klass and listen to the voice that is behind one of the most beautiful styles and crucial messages in today's world. Her portraits of the people she knew in Afghanistan (especially Gul Baz) and her descriptions of that country are "poetry." Her explanations of customs and mores of the Afghanistan people are touching and informative, told from the point of view of a young teacher with an open mind. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to gain some understanding of the people who have lived in the rugged terrain of Afghanistan for centuries.

The writer has a very kindly and personal point of view. Very good book!
